I've always liked this song. Entwhistle was a musical genius. Besides playing a sick bass, he wrote several songs that he would lead sing on, did a lot of backing vocals, and played all the horns on songs for The Who. The man had skills!! RIP John Another one of John's songs is "My Wife" off of Who's Next. A hidden gem off an incredible album.
John Entwistle was a very underrated songwriter who was overshadowed by Townshend in the Who but he wrote some great songs, both in the Who and outside of the Who. A few favorites are "Heaven and Hell", "I Believe in Everything"., "The Quiet One" and "Too Late the Hero". And his bass playing is out of this world! He played bass as if it were lead guitar-check out any of his isolated bass runs on YT-simply amazing.
I never thought I would ever see anyone react to this song. The Who was my favorite growing up and John Entwtistle only wrote a few songs, but they were all cool! This one and on Tommy, he wrote Cousin Kevin and Uncle Ernie. He had a warped sense of humor and I loved it.
And he had a fabulously wicked sense of humor in person as well. Was lucky enough to get to meet him and spend a bit of time in his company-very much missed.
I've always assumed the name was derived from Boris Karloff, the actor who originated the role of Frankenstein's monster and enjoyed a lengthy career starring in horror movies.
They actually thought since it was popular with kids that he should do a whole album of kids songs, which unfortunately didn't end up happening but those songs became dispersed throughout their singles and albums. Also this is actually one of their most requested songs played live, it was even Jimi Hendrix's favorite song. Like it's not for everyone, but it's a The Who fan favorite.
Ha! I can't believe you did this song! Such a departure from The Who's usual brilliance but they did have a playful side. Would love to see you do "Love Reign O'er Me".
Entwistle was the first who member to release a solo album. Some people consider it a lost who album... it has some excellent material! If you want to see him sing with the who, my vote would be for the quiet one live!
Keith Moon sang a part on Bell Boy on the Quadrophenia album and he had a solo album and his "do me good" single has a video on you tube where you can see him sing
May I suggest you review "My Wife" from Who's Next? Written and sung by by Entwistle. Another suggestion is "the Real Me" from Quadrophenia. Entwistle and Moon are at their best on that cut.
Hello fellas I'd like to introduce you all to another band and I believe you've already reacted to one of the singers in this group once before, if I'm not mistaken. That would be Kenny Loggins, but I don't think ya'll were aware that he was in a duet called "Loggins & Messina" Well if you're interested in listening to some soft rock, country rock, folk rock, then give this song a listen "Loggins & Messina - Danny's Song -1973 (Live)" (by the channel: 24 TV) --Loggins & Messina were an American pop-rock duo consisting of Kenny Loggins and Jim Messina who received their biggest success in the 1970's. The song I suggested is from their 1971 album called "Sittin' In" This was a fun reaction, thanks for sharing.
Alright guys! Do I have a band you to hear that is relevant today and compares to the 70 and 80’s songs you review all the time. The group is called BlackBerry Smoke and the album to review is “The Whippoorwill”. Choose ANY song on this album and let me know your thoughts. I promise this is the best hidden treasure you never knew you were missing. Give me a shout out when you do. I would love to hear your alls thoughts.
Spiders don’t bother me. Not really afraid of anything I can step on or out run. But Arizona has sneaky scorpions and I’ve been bitten 6 or 7 times. Once on my butt. The little sucker was in my bed. Ryan could get a couple of scorpions for his house - they’ll get rid of spiders for him.
Not my favorite Who tune but it might be the first example of growling vocals ever recorded. A friend in H.S. loved The Who and he used to say that they just gave one song per album to John Entwhistle to keep him happy... no idea how accurate that is.
Keith Moon did sing lead on a couple of songs. He also did a solo album of 1950s styled songs called "Both Sides of the Moon".

Don't forget Boris and Natasha of the Rocky & Bullwinkle Show.

Oh my😂first time I've seen someone react to this❤my favorite who song. Love Thunderfingers😂❤Enjoy this gem song.
My Wife! Great song sung by John Entwistle.
Do Me Good by Keith Moon! Amazing song! He wrote and sang it!
And “I don’t suppose”!!
I saw The Who in Louisville 10 years ago. Even at their age, they put on a hell of a show.

Kieth does sing, on several Who songs!
Finally! Boris the Spider has made it!! Love this song!
This was a popular in-concert number for them.

Keith “sings” on Bell Boy
My Wife by John Entwhistle is a Classic off of Who's Next LP
Have y’all done The WHO’s The Real Me yet? John Entwistle’s masterpiece playing bass!
Probaly the best bass line ever.
Happy Jack or Momma's got a squeeze box.

This is like a novelty song, pull The Real Me to see real rocking Who bass, or Live at Leeds Young Man Blues

Really you need to keep spiders around. They are very important
R.I.P Boris! 😂
Fun silly song, if you haven't already heard them, Love reign o'er me, or Real me are great songs from The Who

Boris isn't that popular. Boris Johnson is one and then I don't recognize anyone else from Europe.
Keith DID sing
Aricnaiphobia
