Vocals are INSANE on this track, and the mixing is SOOOO good. There's so much more beef behind the low/mid screams the past few tracks they've dropped and their new vocalist has completely surpassed the old in my opinion. The lows toward the end of this track blew me out of my chair, I was laughing it was so good lmao
Love the thall inclusion to the sound, interesting song structure, love the cleans on this too, overall great track that'll most likely keep getting better on multiple listens muskoka
Muskokaaaa - have fun dude! Man you were spot-on when you said that Vildhjarta would be influencing the next generation of artists. There is so much thall influence now everywhere you look!
@Madden 07 Soundtrack Fan Account [Kendrick AOTY] yeah their lyrics are gross out and cringe, but they’re also a pretty solid parody of old school death metal bands like Cannibal Corpse. Their musicianship and sense of melody (especially in their latest album) is undeniable. They embrace the cringe and I appreciate them for it. I just wish the drums didn’t sound so fake haha
One of my 3 favorite metalcore bands (alongside Erra and Bleed from within) with another banger. I love the vocals- heavy, low growls in the breakdown and then some falsetto like nothing happened. Waiting for an album, I hope first half of next year
These guys are so underrated imo. And seeing their live shows have 4 ppl moving is painful. Hopefully this new album gets them more recognition. Stoked for it!
It is sad lol. I saw them in April earlier this year when they toured with like moths to flames, Polaris and alphawolf. They opened, and only 1 other person moshed. It was upsetting that they arent more popular. They are absolutely amazing. I'm hoping touring with those 3 bands that are big in the genre gets them some more attention
The way the chorus is sweet with the voice choice of tones but if you pay attention the guitars are going in a whole another direction (heavier, darker, grittier) is so amazing.
Mesquoka!(?) As a big fan of Greyview, I 100% agree with your thoughts! Felt the same thing. After multiple listens now the chorus has really roped me in and has left me craving more from them!
Muskoka (end cards were blocking it and I'm english, having to guess spelling) Enjoyed this track a lot more. Always wanted to enjoy Invent Animate as they tick a lot of boxes I SHOULD like. However, only really dug a couple of tracks enough to listen more than once. This is a step in the right direction for me tbf.
Still think Dark is my favorite song by them (the instrumental is incredible too) but the last EP was the most “complete” they’ve ever sounded. I fuck with this song too
Every new ep these guys drop just impresses the crap out of me. I saw these guys a couple of months ago, and I was saddened by how many people didn’t know of them.
You’re reviews aren’t very refreshing MB! I appreciate your opinions/views/perspectives on music! Glad you enjoyed these songs! Hope you have a great week man
@@METALBIRB Thank you very much for your reply, it means a lot. I am very interested in it because I struggled a lot with mental health issues and whenever I see someone who I like I might just ask them a couple of questions. With that being said, I hope that you are doing good! :) For me personally it did change a lot to the better side of things when I cut out alc completely, but that might be just me ^^
I really do love Invent Animate but there's a lot of flaws to their music and their performances that set them back. One massive one being how buried the vocals are, which works at times sure, but they remind me of the band I Am Abomination, where you hear this super good instrumental that makes it feel likes it's going to be a banger of a song, but then you can't hear the singing well at all. I've been listening to metal all my life and if I have to google the lyrics to a song at this point, it's not a song I'm going to listen to again or much. You have to be more clear and distinct these days with vocals. There's so many bands doing this style of music, you don't want to be the one with the buried vocals. With that said, my biggest complaint about their live performances is the technicality of their playing. The guitarist and bassist are great musicians, but I've seen the playthroughs, I've seen the live performances and they're just doing the most basic parts. Maybe it works for them but bands that perform all the bass lines, and that play the ambient parts like Silent Planet for example, just dominate that scene and always will. I don't have much to say about them besides that, just little things that don't really matter, but if they did start to improve their performances and ampted up those vocals, with adding some clarity to them, they'd be topping their genre. I do also feel like the lyrical content is lackluster at best, nothing in their lyrics feels strong enough to evoke emotions. People love music that makes them feel something. Along with having to look up the lyrics in the first place, if you have to google the meaning of a song, its not going to hit you when you listen to it. Everytime I listen to this song particularly, even while knowing what the song is about, I don't feel anything from the song because the lyrics are extremely basic and written to appear subtle, but don't match what the song is trying to provoke. I would even offer to help them write their music if they let me, there's so much potential there yet they're just doing what comes easiest.
Dude, you got to chacke this band out and review it, Afterdusk - Stare At the Sun. Its like Invent Animate and Architects have a baby!! Plz plz plz plz check this out!
Nah I think this mix is a step up from the EP. The drums felt so weak and plastic and the guitars were thin on the EP where as this song it seems more gelled together and thicker. That’s my opinion though. Also the EP is one of my favorite things they’ve released
I can’t get enough of this band. This single and their last ep. 10/10. Goosebumps every time
Greyview is my favorite album of all time. I swear I listened to it about 50 times just last July.

i NEVER get tired of listening to this piece of art. its so therapeutic for me. its what i needed when i didnt know i needed anything.
This band is on top of their league.
seeing them again in a couple weeks with alpha wolf and erra. so excited
I saw them there too! Along with thornhill!
I think the EP was IA's strongest work to date, and with this song, I feel they're cooking up something even greater. Exciting times.
They were infact cooking something greater
^ Can confirm
Love the thall inclusion to the sound, interesting song structure, love the cleans on this too, overall great track that'll most likely keep getting better on multiple listens muskoka
Top tier band

Can’t wait for a new IA album
Yeah me too. Where’s Infant Annihilator been for all this time 😘
Yup ! And OAA

I'm seeing these guys on the 29th. can't wait to hear them play this. I just can't wait to see them in general.

Incredible band. These guys need a main stage instead of the usual opening on tours.
These guys are so underrated imo. And seeing their live shows have 4 ppl moving is painful. Hopefully this new album gets them more recognition. Stoked for it!

Love the emotion and atmosphere in this song. Wicked track! Muskoka

One of my favorite choruses so far this year!
New metalhead here. This song is a banger.

This is a summer metal tuneee. Makes me want to kickback in a Muskoka chair with a brewski lol
Still think Dark is my favorite song by them (the instrumental is incredible too) but the last EP was the most “complete” they’ve ever sounded. I fuck with this song too
these guys are killing it
I just got into this band and I’m already love them. This new song does not disappoint
Just discovered this band
Here’s to a full year practicing to learn this shit
watching with my son he loves your vidz
this song rips i really felt when you said it feels like music with purpose
Check out SPIRITS by Nothing More... best of the three singles they have dropped so far!
I agree:)
Commenting so he sees 😁
Every new ep these guys drop just impresses the crap out of me. I saw these guys a couple of months ago, and I was saddened by how many people didn’t know of them.
Muskoka bruh, that is a god damn catchy chorus man
Pretty good imo and of course a great reaction as always!

COMMON RULE - REALWORLD (its fresh HC🔥)
Marcus Vik TOPPED this band to another level
Oceans ate alaska - New dawn
Yeah, feeling the same way. Just a random question, do you drink at all? Idk, just wanted to know, you look so healthy :D
Metalbirb drinks all the time and locks me in the closet in his alcohol induced rage
@@SeenFeen ROFL :D
@@SeenFeen Leave, leave the group chat
I used to drink a lot of beer back in the day. I’ve cut back, still love a beer but much more mindful of it lately. Thanks though man!

Invent moths to flames?
The only band that can do no wrong
@Madden 07 Soundtrack Fan Account [Kendrick AOTY] id remove silent planet from that list
@Madden 07 Soundtrack Fan Account [Kendrick AOTY] that whole last album was forgettable.
@Madden 07 Soundtrack Fan Account [Kendrick AOTY] i think they took a huge step back. more boring and predictable than their older work
Currents vibes

Yes it is Sleep Tokenish! I’m glad I’m not the only one. I’ll go so far to say that the chorus guitars are very reminiscent of Alkaline. Muskoka
The sun sleeps as it never was is a better song but this song it good too
Invent DefThalltones
it's like none of you even know Everchanger or Stillworld exists INCLUDING you MetalBirb SMH
Nah you’re just assuming, heard Stillworld and thought it was okay
Everchanger and Stillworld were good, but man they've gotten so much better
Am I the only one that thinks this song's mix is much worse than that of the EP?
Nah I think this mix is a step up from the EP. The drums felt so weak and plastic and the guitars were thin on the EP where as this song it seems more gelled together and thicker. That’s my opinion though. Also the EP is one of my favorite things they’ve released
Get your hearing checked, the mix is great
it’s a big step up to me lol
Yup
I think this song is great but the EP was better. This song sounds safe to me.
