Marcus Vik is their current singer, he used to be in a band called Aviana and even appeared on a recent track with them as a nice quick comeback. Their original singer Ben was also very good, but the new style they have going for them, Marcus is suuuuuch a perfect fit, love that guy.
Also the rumor for the album drop, apparently called Heavener is coming out in March 2023

When I heard Shade Astray I knew this was going to be an incredible album, then I heard Elysium and I knew it was going to be an AOTY contender. Massive choruses, chuggy, melodic, progressive, emotional, catchy. Everything I want in a metalcore track.
9:05 still never fails to give me full body chills. i absolutely adore this band and elysium was song of the year for me. my all time fav metalcore band. love your vids drew. jus put up a cover of this song a few days ago 💚

Same for me, I found these guys last year and they QUICKLY made the way to top 5 bands in my opinion. The amount of emotion they have and they're sound. Top Tier.
The guitar work in Elysium really reminded me of stuff off their album Stillworld, same goes with the slowed down ambient breakdown at the end.
yeah, its really similar to agora with the slowed down breakdown at the end, and both songs put the main ambient riffs of the song over it, although with elysium the clean riff isn't as forward in the mix
i love your reactions/reviews! the emotional/atmospheric side of invent doesn’t always land with people (which is totally okay, we do a really specific thing) but i love that it makes you feel what we feel. very rewarding to see. much love thanks for listening 💛
Banger songs , so much emotion
I really enjoy new Invent Animate so much... Their current direction of sound i like especially.
This chorus of Elysium brings nothing but feels/emotions/atmosphere/drive, you feel energized and inspired each time, especially if you're a creative person.
That melodic breakdown, omg should i even describe it?
My first reaction was just a smile and a laugh of happiness because it's too good, i have also enjoyed the Shade Astray. Can't wait for the new album.
If you ask me which single i like more, it's 100% Elysium but Shade Astray isn't too far away from it, glad you reacted to these songs, they're incredible and incredibly underrated, as the band in general in my opinion.
This band is something that blends my favorite genres together, Ambient and Prog.Metalcore - it's melodic, emotional, catchy, beautiful, brutal, energic and it has a soul. Elysium has everything that i like the most in this type of music. ❤

They were in the studio recording the new album at the change of the year 2021-22, and now having released two songs i'm assuming the album will be out in early 2023! Easily my most anticipated album of all time 😉

love from Brazil Drew! I love reacting to your videos, and Invent Animate is my favorite band! please react to album Stillworld of them. This album was the last for former vocalist Ben English before he left the band because he was tired of grueling tours and routine, and he decided to stop. Marcus, the current vocalist, came from Aviana and perfectly maintained the proposal of what the band is. For me, Stillworld is the one of the best progressive metalcore albums ever made.

You absolutely HAVE to check out their previous two albums, Stillworld and Everchanger! Those albums are arguably more technical, emotionally provoking, and the older vocalist has absolutely brutal lows.

These guys are so damn good
I got to support the boys of Invent Animate. They make fantastic music. I especially enjoy listening to their songs with the lyrics on screen and without a video. The songs unfold much stronger this way. I was not a big fan of my first listen but your reaction made me enjoy and appreciate the songs much more. And: I still think of your reactions to Currents and Polaris and I have been noticing more complex song structures. I now get what you mean by "more predictable" vs. "more complex". I get why you like more complex arrangements. I still enjoy «simple», more straight forward songs but I appreciate more complex songs more and more. That is a shift your reactions have started within me. Crazy but I like it - the feeling of changing/growing.
I definitely feel the melody hooks and chorus’ have changed since Greyview, leaning more into typical metalcore sounding chorus’. I don’t mind this at all however because they’re so huge and catchy, and only emphasise how much I treasure the niche Greyview sound. I am so excited for the new album and can’t wait to see them live, there will be no voice left in me!
I'm of a different opinion and wish they stuck with the non-linear song structure, even though these songs are better than 99% of prog metalcore nowadays.

If you really dig these guys you should check out Above, Below if you haven't already. They released a new song not too long ago called Scorpion and a song called melting amber a year or two ago that may be one of the best songs ever.

React to Midnight Rain - Dreamwake. Its a rollercoaster of emotional melodies similar to Erra, a fantastic clean vocal performance with an incredible range opposite a phenomal screamer. Topped off with an outstanding guitar solo and saxophone. I was blown away. They are fairly unknown. Anyone thats a fan of Erra or their style instrumentals will love them

Might enjoy the song “Self Decay” by Incentives. They never made it big but put out a few rad songs.
I preferred Shade Astray as long as I saw the clip for Elysium. The video clip with the song is a bigger art together. Please don!t miss it.

I really want to dig deeper back into progressive metalcore as I stopped searching around 4 years ago. I feel like the genre is so stangant with a few highlights. They just all sound the same man. They're good but it's just formulaic and it leaves me uninterested.
Hope drew gets around to some of the classic like Born Of Osirid - the discovery and Protest the Hero - Fortress.
He'd have his mind blown I'm certain
