3:28 The smile the girl with the cello has. Must be so much fun for classical musicians to do these types of gigs. Just like BMTHs Royal Albert live show
I've thought about this but a part of me hopes that they came to an agreement that they wouldn't take away the independence of Sylosis by having Josh input vocals for Architects
The Parallax Orchestra's composer is Simon Dobson. The same orchestra also performed with BMTH and Alter Bridge at their respective Royal Albert Hall concerts
That was the first thing I thought when I heard this too. His vocals on albums don't have much variety in my opinion. To add in lows would bring their music to another level.
@@widexawake_ lemme save you from disappointment, there aren't any old songs, it's specifically For Those That Wish To Exist recorded live with an orchestra
@@wolfy_with_a_y How am I spreading hate? I don't like the album, but am I telling other people NOT to listen to it. You do you bro, but don't act superior while putting words in my mouth. You absolute yoghurt
Now I really want the next album to have more symphonic elements, goddamn this is so fucking good, imagine Architects if they took some symphonic elements from bands like Dimmu Borgir and Fleshgod Apocalypse, I wouldn't say this is a reimagining either, rather it's a addition to what was already there and it's great, also Sam should definitely do some more lows because they work so well in contrast with his high screams, I know he did lows in the past but in recent years they've sort of faded away, it'd be great to see them back
And then, when we wanted them most, they replaced the orchestral moments with the electronic moments. This isn’t to say that the classic symptoms of a broken spirit is bad, it just wasn’t what we were expecting.
What I find really fucking cool is the drums are exactly the same as they were in the original track. And for a live version, what a fucking drum tech.
I don’t know if you have already done videos on this band, but an older EP from In Fear & Faith (i’m pretty sure it was called Symphonies) was pure orchestral with screaming and great guest vocals from vocalists that we all know and love.
This whole show was an experience, re watched it a ton of times on veeps. Really made me love some of the songs on the album that i dont initially really like. Glad they finally will release it as an album
This is giving me massive Metallica S&M vibes. I remember my dad was so crazy about it he recorded it when they showed it live on tv….in 1999. More metal bands should do stuff like this, it really puts an epic spin on their music.
This is incredible! It's performed exactly like they do it at live shows (or at least at the gig I saw them at) and it's just incredible. Sam really shows off his range with the cleans and those lows!
Nik's joy at the music is how I feel at concerts smiling like a fool enjoying the entire sensation of a concert, the people, the music, the vibrations, the sights ugh its so amazing
It's almost criminal how little there is metal musicians that include some classical music in their songs. I know that bands like Apocalyptica but I need more.
Dude this whole livestream was incredible and I'm so glad they're releasing it as an album. Hearing Dead Butterflies with the trumpets + full orchestra is next level.
That whole show was sooo epic. I watched that stream 5 times. Can't wait for the whole thing to be released soon. After hearing this I just can't listen to the original album versions anymore. Still good, but they just are missing something now.
Love it especially the bells. 🔔 Pre-order incomin, this will be epic! My favorite tune to get started in the day since a week is The Last Ten Seconds of Life.
Architects knows how to make a good symphonic/ Cinematic metal song, knowing how to balance the guitars with the orchestral instruments is really hard. Love it 🤘🔥 From a not so professional metal artist and orchestra member 10/10
I'm so happy for josh middleton such an amazing musician has a great income for being in architects even if sylosis still his band and his core music still glad he can manage both
*Smash like for orchestral bleghs*
Ooo Bleighmaphone?? Nice.
YOU GOT ME!

omg that show was amaaaaaaaaazzzzzzzzzzzzing. I will never not get chills when I hear the choir intro to Shadow Moses.
They are the same orchestra btw
I played violin for 10 years and it was my dream to be in an orchestra doing this type of thing. I don’t play anymore, but I’d still love to!
Yeah she must have been enjoying that breakdown (and the whole thing) so much :D
With all the orchestra in the background of breakdown it almost feels like a horror movie sequence its cool
It is just straight up boss music!
@@toastermon2272 that aswell
It gave me instant Terminator vibes. I think it must've been the horn.
@@Quusikko ahh such an epic tune

They have to utilise Josh on vocals more, hes such a force.
I think they should explore some screams from him too... It'd be awesome
Agreed
Thank you
And on 🎸 🎸... imagine architects with solo, I would pay a lot for hearing this lol
That breakdown should've been with him on vocals.. it would fit so perfectly, missed opportunity
I love how they made everything completely live. No backing tracks or synth at all.
It'S a sin to do that at Abbey Road.
I think that's why they're all smiling at the end thinking "Oh yeah we did it! "
You would be surprise
1. Whoever arranged this is a GOD
2. Imagine going to college for a performance degree and you end up doing this. EPIC.

Damnn why doesn't Sam do more lows he sounds like an entirely different person and it sounds sick.
His lows may be even better than his mids
I don't think Architects is *missing* anything by not having Sam's lows, but honestly yeah, I wouldn't mind hearing them on an album whatsoever.

I went to their 2019 show in Anaheim with Thy Art Is Murder and While She Sleeps as support. I can testify that you are 100 percent correct
"We're all players in a symphony
That fights against impermanence" hits different

Screams, Cleans, Lows whatever he killed it !!

As a violist, THANK YOU Nik, for mentioning the violas at 2:36 because they are always forgotten about.
Love to see all the musicians smiling as the song progresses
My dreams were crushed when THERE WAS NO BLEGH. You're damn THUMBNAIL GOT ME!!! hahahahh gg Nik... gg.
great video dude.
This whole show was amazing. I'm looking forward to getting the LP/CD of it when it comes out.
This was my favorite song off the album and this live rendition just makes it so much better. I got chills at this masterpiece.
This breakdown was everything. Sam crushed those lows and the orchestra really just brought this album to a whole other level.
Sam needs to use his lows more. They're DEEP. Also, I like this version better than the OG. I love Parkway, but damn.
This is my favorite song from the newest album
Josh’s back vocals are so damn good. They should give him an opportunity to show his vocal skills more often.
The orchestra is having so much fun. How often do they get to do breakdowns hahaha
The breakdown is like sam's best Winston impression.
I don’t know if you have already done videos on this band, but an older EP from In Fear & Faith (i’m pretty sure it was called Symphonies) was pure orchestral with screaming and great guest vocals from vocalists that we all know and love.
Damnn... Sam's voice is sooo epic 🤘
The fact that Josh Middleton from Sylosis is just chilling playing guitar n as a backup singer for Architects makes it even more impressing 😅
Is nobody gonna talk about how Sam literally carbon copied Winston’s voice like that???? Holy shit Sam is gifted.

There is a whole genre called symphonic metal started by a band called Therion
This was absolutely incredible. goosebumps. I loved when Thrice did something similar back in the day.
I’m glad to see Dan looking so happy recording this :)
The addition of the orchestra takes a great song to a higher level. I always love when bands use orchestras. Beautiful song!
Love the transition between the scream, head voice, chest voice, then down to the falsetto. Sam is a beast.
