Robert Glasper with Herbie Hancock THIS IS DEEP....
The legends that are on this stage at one time is ridiculous.. smh. What an honor just to be able to watch on UA-cam!!!
this is insane.
as much as i love everyone in this line up, chris dave is glorious
Incredible Kamasi solo
DTLA STRAIGHT AHEAD 👎👎👎👎 sorry lol
Stevie Wonder would be sooooooo proud of this rendition of his song
Felt the waves listening to this. Don't know how else to describe the Holy Ghost. Thank you for sharing this with the community you did a good thing man.
Thanks for capturing so much incredible live music.
Thank you so much for catching and sharing this absolute manifestation of greatness and pure beauty!
My absolute pleasure. Every day I am reminded of how lucky I am to live in Los Angeles. We get the best shit.
I would have lost my fucking mind if I was there. So much greatness in one room😍
Sick. Derrik and Chris lock like no other
This is beautiful
Oooooooooooh Kamasi what a solo, when he plays, u can feel it all down il your soul.
This is such an epic video. That first set of chords Herbie hits when he sits down change the whole game.
Simply Heaven, all praises due!!!
So Beautiful!

9:51 oh shit man oh jeez ooowwwwww
**Currently nerding out. How'd I miss this?
Robert Glasper can't do a gig these days withput Herbie Hancock coming and taking over..
Dude right? Every time he plays, I go, cause there's like a 50% chance I'm going to be seeing Herbie Hancock as well.
Herbie is the God body.
That was very special
STAND UP FOR TRUTH! STAND UP FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS!
Speechless
Kamasi!!!!!
Brilliant
WOW,, Wish I was there to see this Live,, Amazing Lineup of great musicians
Man I wish I could've been there
never clicked a video so fast
I've had the album - yes, VINYL - since its introduction to the world. I've been "Too High" ever since listening and analyzing the structure of the album while posted up headlong by my mother's speakers😌
csharpbnatural what album?
Antony Linteau “Innervisions” by Stevie Wonder. One of the greatest albums of all time
Thanks again"✌️*
You gotta list Terrace Martin too
Ronald Turner exactly my thought
Derrick Hodge too!!
they're all in the video description... i just didn't have enough room in the title. sorry i know this response is two years late lol.
Dear God ! as history is being made ! ! ! !
Thts Malcolm Jamaal Warner doing spoken word
If you click "show more" in the description I listed everyone there. UA-cam wouldn't let me put all of them in the title.
Herbie.....!!!!!!!!! #thatisall
OK but I really don't know what to make of what Hathaway did with Herbie's super hip reharmonization at 11:55
Such a lucky crowd
Children Jesus loves you. The sunday school band! Yay!!
legendary herbie Hancock....
Chills
If you are one of the 15 that disliked this youre losing at life...
😍
geeee!!
Make some noise if you know that Lalah Hathaway is a beast? A beast? Somehow, that word didn't quite work for me. Haha.
I felt the same way. He meant that she's really good at singing, but still I feel "beast" isn't the best way to describe a lady.
What is that f***wit doing on stage?
Terrace?
All imma say is Kamasi washington
Hell yes.
Herbie is a prophet
GLASPER taking JAZZ, & HIP HOP and helping Them to EXPAND the languages of AFROAMERICAN MUSIC
That 8:44 mark…Genius level modulation
bruh, malcom jamal warner was there???? my god EVERYBODY was there.
Why did he feel the need to preach tho? Malcom stfu yo!
knowledge
The vocoder (harmonica?) at the start sounds INSANE
rob you gotta turn the flash off tho. come on now
Herbie is continuously the shit.
Just an embarrassment of riches, basically.(quote) Very necessary stuff for whats happening to on a global scale. Who will understand?
has youtube muted this on PC? plays fine on my android but no audio on my mains
Hmm it works fine for me on my laptop!
What a line up, it only missing Terrace Martin
? he's there man haha, keys and vocals
Ahaha... That's what i was thinking first and then i told myself maybe that's just some play back that Terrace layed before for them(how could i be so disrespectful lool). Thanks for correcting me brother!
If you click "show more" in the description I listed everyone there. UA-cam wouldn't let me put all of them in the title.
My bad for not hitting the show more button. Thanks again for the upload my friend! I would love to see them performing in Brussels
Which song is that ? Great stuff
Stevie Wonder "Jesus Children"
Thank you my "true music" family for identifying this beautiful song by one of the greats (Stevie Wonder)!
csharpbnatural It's off the album called "Inner Visions" which you should own. Seriously go and buy that.
I wonder what it's like for Herbie to be playing with younger dudes in a sound that he and Miles developed so long ago. Must make him proud.
okay i know im two years late, but did herbie hancock just play the lick? 8:44
hah! i had to google what that was. oh man it's so close!
I feel like I don't deserve watching and hearing this
Dude I felt the exact same way while I was there. I am not worthy. Also you're not gonna believe this but it wasn't even sold out.
That's a shame. Feel sorry for the people who had the opportunity and missed it.
There 's something strange with Robert Glasper. In one way, each time he is there, it sounds like Glasper. You have here many briliant leaders, and finally it sounds "Glasper". That's impressive how he reign on the general ambiance. Kamasi plays like Kamasi, but it is a Kamasi Washington solo in a Glasper world. That's a certain talent. But in the meantime, sounding Glasper for me is sounding very... lounge, unexpressive, energyless. Sometimes I woud like him to bring some funk, some soul, some energy, some groove, but all sounds like we'r floating over a yoghurt.
Even Herbie Hancock lose it's funk.
I love herbie
but i think when he sits down for the first time in this video he looks kinda like the main penguin from Dreamwork's Madagascar lol

There were many brilliant, talented people on stage. There was also the f***wit who called Hathaway a beast.
Don't know how I feel about the band members taking their phones out during the performance to film themselves lol... although I am guilty of doing this myself.
herbie looks so sad
I think he's more in the zone. Spacing out.
No better way to ruin good music than to throw some horrible spoken word over the top of it. Sigh.
anonymous lakernerd The spoken word is part of the original track.
It shouldn't be.
Because! Im living in my aunts living room in a 3rd world country typing you now from a internet coffee shop where my goat is drinking water 5 feet from me.
of Jesus Children of America? Naw, no it's not. And yes, someone should have muted his channel on the PA and spared us. Give him a bass or something, he knows how to play it.
