It was so nice to see another video so soon. I'm sure you'll get some great pumpkins this year. I can definitely sense that you are relaxed and happy. I am also a person who tends to worry about things that are out of my control. As I get older, I have realized that the bridges I cross while worrying are rarely ever the bridges I need to cross in real life. I try to remind myself of that when I find myself stressing. I agree with you that focusing on what you can control is more important.
We’re trying to get in the habit by doing a bunch right away. 😊 It’s been eye opening to realize that what we do and talk about each day is interesting to watch and hear. To us, it’s just our lives…no big deal 😅. But yes, it’s nice to just take things in stride and do our best with what we have…after all, we started here with almost nothing good except a large blank slate.
Lovely sand:] I went from pure clay to pure sand at my new place. Some loam here and there, it has thrown my style off quite a bit. However I really starting to like the sand even with the need for so much more water. I mulch with leaves then grass clipping or whatever chop and drop I can find mostly weeds! The need for extra mulch is real however the sand wins for many tolerant crops, and the lack of organic materials has me making compost tea every week. Sand is better once things get going or at least I want to believe that:] Digging is so so easy
I bought some pumpkin seeds this year and didn’t plant them cause I felt like I was too late You just inspired me me to go ahead and plant some What’s the worst that can happen I waste a few seeds
I’ll try to also remember to put all of them in the descriptions. Thanks! @lorajeansmagazine , @trentgudmundsen , @artandhomesteading , @frosthollowfarm

Good, your back!
Ha! Yeah!!
So happy to see you two days in a row. I’m so glad that you all are doing well. Love your videos.
Thanks for sharing. Take care, see ya :)
Thanks, Danielle! Trying to start off with a bang! 😁
I love how you garden. Gardening is a stress relief for me. If she grows she grows. Blessings.
Thanks! Yes, I find myself ending up out there to relax in between every other endeavor. It’s really enjoyable.
You are a blessing. Keep filming but most of all be happy
Nice to hear from you!
Always glad to see you guys
That was fun to watch! The reverse of my gardening problem…mostly clay here. Would gladly swap soils 50/50 😂
Haha! Yes!!! Back when Trish & Jonah lived here they had clay and we talked about trading. Probably would’ve worked too!
Great to see you in a great headspace
Makes all the difference in the world! Wow!

Any updates on the stove you built a few years back?

Ha! Yes! I share that attitude about it! If nothing much comes of it then at least it’ll still be fun to watch them grow their big leaves!
Good video. Do you have a problem with vine borers?
Thanks! Haven’t noticed a problem with them (yet).
Have you a link to your instagram
