- My review of Lost Alice by Masque Milano. This perfume is inspired by Alice In Wonderland in particular the Mad Hatters Tea Party. The book you can see is called The Complete Alice by Lewis Carroll with foreword by Philip Pullman illustrations by Sir John Tenniel.

About me - I'm Claire and I'm in my early 40s, I live in the UK. My taste in perfumes is usually quite sweet but not too sweet, I love white florals but not tuberose. I like gourmands as long as they smell like perfumes still, I require my perfumes to change a little bit as I wear them ie not linear. I don't enjoy oud, leather, cumin, saffron or strong patchouli however there can be occasions where I do like perfumes with these notes if they are not too dominant. I enjoy most florals as long as they are backed up with something sweet or perhaps resins / incence. I tend to not enjoy anything very soapy. I also don't really enjoy very green fragrances. I am extremely averse to overdoses of ambroxan and iso E super (timbersilk or similar) just because I find it annoying! I have no problem with synthetics in perfumery but I do enjoy perfumes that at have some notes that at least smell like they could be from nature. My favourite type of perfumery in indie and I love Francesca Bianchi, Teone Reinthal, 4160 Tuesdays, Zoologist and Papillon Artisan Perfumes.

I was only talking about Lost Alice an hour ago to a work colleague. . Spooky. I haven't worn this one much, it does have a little too much cold carroty iris on me. It's more a collectable quaint perfume piece for me, and possibly one of my favourite bottles/concepts 🐇🍄♠️♥️♣️♦️

Claire, thanks so much for this wonderful review. It was so calming to hear your description of Lost Alice along with the wonderful illustrations from the book. The fragrance sounds like something I would absolutely love. So now I’m on Amazon and found Halva Butter, but could you let me know the book you used for the video (maybe a photo of the cover)?
