i like the silicone sealant idea - that's great.
I did exactly the same thing but with vinyl flooring after watching a Ask This Old House video. The silicone for anti-slip is genius!!!
The silicone as anti slip is brilliant! Thank you so much for sharing.
Bugüne kadar izlediğim en başarılı proje. Tebrik ederim.
That was FANTASTIC!!! Exactly what I was looking for to cut the 8' of plywood sheets in my shop! Thanks!
Yeah the silicone for anti slip was the most impressing part. Thank you so much.
Согласен! Вроде - очевидно! Но в то же время - кто бы мог подумать?
Clever move with that silicone. Nice build, & thanks for sharing. Aloha
Simplesmente a melhor ideia de guia para serra circular manua
Cool and very creative that being said I’m glad I can afford to just go buy a track saw and tracks
Best DIY track jig I've seen yet 😊
I’ve watched so many videos on make a track saw, I new yours video was my guide to make one. Thanks for sharing!
Great to hear!👍😎
That silicone anti slip method was brilliant
I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.
Simplesmente a melhor ideia de guia para serra circular manual 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Спасибо, отлично получилось!
Muito bom, parabéns! 🇧🇷
Thank you very much for your idea.. will definitely make one..
Brilliant with the silicone 😊
nice trick with the silicone!
Me encanta... Lo haces ver tan fácil, lo haré de todas maneras, muchas gracias, un abrazo desde Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
gracias👍
Super .simple and elegant
Hello, congratulations on your construction.
The idea of silicone on the sole is perfect; the only flaw I could find in your creation is the loss of over a cm of cutting depth: I made a similar guide with 10 mm MDF on which I passed with the original sole of the saw and I found myself cutting two panels from 28mm without reaching the bottom (with a 210mm diameter blade!) Now, on the side of the sole I have welded two guides obtained from connecting pieces of aluminum bars 20x20 or 20x40 etc. those bars used to build the 3D printers and I use one or two 20x60 bars (1000 + 1000mm long) as a guide to which I created sliding clamps with a side strip, long enough to lock and position the 20x60 guide correctly
Hey, nice to see you again!🤝 I believe you made really great guide. I dont wanted to spend too much time and money for this, in these days that cnc bars cost nice amount of money. My saw is pretty big and I still have 50+ mm of cutting depth, what is enaught for all cuts I making.
Really nice use of material that sometimes just gets thrown out. I have a few boxes of this stuff that I picked up really cheap from a Habitat for Humanity store. I knew eventually it would come in handy. Thanks!
Also you could apply basically the same materials to make an adjustable dado cutter for your router. You would just need some small adjustable wooden blocks on the side of the two panels and a couple of knobs. Great video.
What an awesomely designed and funtional piece of equipment! This video occupies number one in jigs library. Great engineering there Dude, keep it up! I wish I could like it 10k times. And thank you so much for sharing.👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you like it!👍🙂
Great idea good job
Прекрасная работа,спасибо.

Or just buy one....
Very good and easy to make idea

Brilliant 👏 👏
Excellent!!!
excelente y muy sencillo gracias por sus aportes tienes un like
gracias👍
Brilliant, just......brilliant! And the silicone, unbelievably simple yet effective. Perfect for those of us who have small workspaces but still want to enjoy woodworking. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you👍🙂
Brilliant, dude! Really fantastic work!!! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you👍🙂

Could you connect two of these to make it so you could an 8’ sheet of plywood maybe do a set back on the rod and then allow the back piece to extend over the other to help inter lock it
That's a very nice
awesome trick, thanks a lot
👍😎
muito bom .valeu gostei.abraços tmj.
Careful with cutting through thick wood. The saw could jump up of friction in the gap, it happened to me using a plungesaw with real track
Thank for sharing your video
Thank you for watching my channel😉👍
Good job
Sangat bermanfaat tutorialnya
This is cheap and a brilliant ,design I'm making this.
😅😊
Thanks for sharing
🪚🪵👍🙂
I true wood like that using an L fence on my table saw. I feed the wood against the fence using a long plywood straight edge that has handles attached topside and sandpaper under neath for non-skid.
Nice jop bro 👍👍respect
The best solution ever 🎉❤subscribe you 😊
Perfekt
Good idea. And the execution of the device is beautiful. I would like to ask what is the diameter of the MAKITA circular saw blade
Its Makita MG5008, with 210mm saw blade diameter😎
Que medida es el triplay de madera
Que buena idea!! Me apunto a tu canal!!🤙🏻
👍🙂
@@CraftyDude voy a probar hacerla!👍🏻
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. 👊🏽
Buenísimo beutiful
👍🙂
Mantap
How wide and deep did you go with the router in the piece of flooring?
Its 10x10mm bar, so I fit half of it in laminate plate
super
great video, but there are no sizes, measurments, etc, to make this, do u have them available.? i am a general contrator and would use this daily..pls advise.. would like to make one...many thanks
One meter lenght, and width is as original laminate plate
👍👍👍👍👍
Great video ! I will try this ! Simple , effective. Gets the job done . What model is your circular saw ?
Makita 5008MGJ
Any plans available please
Ciao come fai prendere le misure per pattino? intendo i 2 legni che attacchi sotto la piastra. La misura la ricavi semplicemente misurando? grazie bel tutorial
Mi limito a misurare
Have you tried this with long miter cuts?
I didn't use it for bevel cuts yet, but it suppose to work on it😎👍
дЕльная вещь !
Where did you get the aluminum bar? Have a link?
I find it in my local shop
Hola.Yo lo echo con dos cariles.
Y he puesto dos carriles aluminio que entra en la otras directamente en base de la maquina
Wider gap instead of drilling holes
I like the simplicity of this build. But we have 3 layers of laminate between the base of the saw to the cut piece. That's a lot of depth loss
It is some depth loss, but its a problem just when you need 5+cm depth of cuts
@@CraftyDude you are right with a regular corded saws. But nowadays, the cordless saws are quite mainstream and they have a much smaller blade.
I just saw this 08May24. I am somewhat confused.
I understand that vinyl plank flooring is truly temperature and humidity stable. But by the time you buy a box of vinyl plank, the aluminum square bar and the saw to dedicate to the system you're into the budget track saw world. The other thing is...well, how you gonna make an eight foot track? How you gonna splice vinyl plank together? I just retired from flooring installation and in all my time I never once saw 8ft vinyl plank.
... just sayin'
This saw is not compatible with original makita saw guide, by reusing waste material I find out cheap solution of this.
Ok. I understand a little better now. I wasn't really dogging on you...just couldn't understand why you did what you did. Now I get it.
By the way...I have made several 'advanced' bases for my Makita trim router with LVP job scraps...larger simple base, a step base that allows me to cut dadoes 1 1/2" apart (for 5" sanding disc storage) and a 30" trammel for cutting circles up to 55" in diameter...so, I get it...just didn't understand it at first. I never once thought your work was shoddy or faulty, nor the idea insane...just didn't understand at first.
Your response made me subscribe.
the thickness of the boards? Thanks
8mm👍
Can you cut bevels with this? It seems to be the downfall of all these diy tracks. No one can cut a bevel.
no las haces para vender ?
no, solo estoy compartiendo mis ideas😎
👍💕🙏🙋♀️
why didn't you make it a full legth 8 foot or more ?
For me that length is good enough🙂
What thickness is the laminate please?
8mm
I did not find the moment where the marking for the hole in the sole was made .
I just measure that places where looks good for a screw, but that moment is not added in video
@@CraftyDude I see, thank you
wher can i see the part list and quantities ?
Guide made from 1 meter length 10x10mm square aluminium bar and flooring laminate, all other parts sizes must be sized for a circular saw you use👍
Profesional ok
Best part was the vacuuming. Can we please see more vacuuming? That would be great.
A ti te gusta chapusas
Супер🤝🤝🤝🤝🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
No need for a channel. Just use the raised edge as a guide. Simple
Channel helps, no need push to guide side only forward, straight cuts easy👍
Then you could move away from that edge.dah
You have no idea what easy is to work with my Parallel Guided Power Saw, you may see on youtube
lol solution🥴
😢
As always with such a design absolutely uninterested of cutting depth ;(
I get 5+cm of cutting depth, usually its enaught👍
@@CraftyDude Good luck to you. I need more often enough. I'll have to buy a table saw.
TOO THICK..WASTING ALMOST 3CM OF THE BLADE..
2.4 cm, but I still have 51mm cutting depth left
2,8 см потеря толщины распила, это очень тупая идея
Глупак
Kaka video : normal people do not have a circular saw table
Do another viseo using a stupid jigsaw doing all this if you are so good
It’s 2024. Track saws are as ubiquitous as pocket hole jigs. In ten years you’ll still have it and you won’t even remember what you paid. And a plunge saw is SO MUCH nicer and even safer than a regular circular saw.
If you have all those tools needed to make it your sure shit not going to make it as you already have a track saw or would just go out and get
Over built .
Oh yeah, saw is placed on top of 3 layers of material. Thanks to that half of your available cutting depth goes out the window. Garbage.
Too much unnecessary B's!
You don't talk??? I don't watch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can see everything, it's nothing to talk about😎
Vraiment très bien !
Ilmu yg bermanfaat
ANOTHER WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY COMPLICATED PROJECT.
CHEAPER AND BETTER TO JUST BUY ONE AND ACTUALLY GET SOME DEPTH OF CUT.
My saw isnt made to match with original saw guide, than I have to buy new saw and guide💰
NOPE. YOU JUST NEED TO BUY A NEW SAW@@CraftyDude
