      They have guidelines for how long they can put someone in jail based on their crime. They cant put someone in jail for 20 yrs for littering. And they cant put this guy in jail for over 4 years just for violation of a protective order.

      At least he's not clever enough to fool a parole board. Those are the ones we have to really look out for. And those who do exactly what this man is in jail for, but have money and/or power, or name recognition, to evade the consequences.

      I don't think he is a narcissist. Not very clever one anyway, since he wasn't able to spin some BS to get on parole. A clever narcissist would have manipulated his way out of there and back to his usual crimes...

    • @RahulSingh-io4fx
      @RahulSingh-io4fx 7 днів тому

      @@ermaek2145 when it comes to manipulative behaviour, narcissists are actually a few tricks ponies. In other words they are slaves of a particular pattern of behaviour which they find impossible to break from and their cunning, conniving, crafty habit is no exception. Consequently their devious nature;- all their guile & gaslighting & scheming antics & intellectual gymnastics which constitute their perpetual enterprises in sheer "bad faith" - become extremely easy to predict; very very predictable for people cursed to spend some time close to them. The catch is that they are also very very good; exceptionally good at those few manipulative tricks up their sleeves. This is so because the pathological narcissistic personality disorder starts developing when a person is as young as 7-8 years old and becomes irreversibly concrete by the time that person is in his/her late teens. Now it is from her/his pre-teens to early teens that such a person has started figuring out which type of devious and manipulative behaviour works for her/him and then devote her/him-self at honing them, refining them, mastering them single-mindedly for the rest of her/his life. As a result, by the time they are young adults, they're already very good with those small bunch of scheming antics which they have been honing much of their formative years and are able to easily manipulate most people who did not have the misfortune of being in their vicinity ie. close enough to observe the same couple of strategies and same bunch of tactics being employed by the narcissist repeatedly over and over again.

I also drank until black out drunk and did ghb every day the last year of active addiction. When I decided I was tired of living that way I got up the next day and was done. I just didn’t do any drugs and didn’t drink and got up every day after that and made the choice not to. It never made me do something horrible to another person! It is not the fault of drugs or alcohol! These men are predators and drugs and alcohol just make their inhibitions low where they don’t think about consequences. They are just awful monsters.

      @@Ruth78620 that's part of the problem with protective orders. And they said she has a 25 year protective order. But the problem is that he has to know where to stay away from to avoid violating the order, so her home & work address is put on these orders. But obv in his case he uses these orders to find, harass, & obviously violate the order. This is not safe, she may be while he's on parole, but like he did the last time, as soon as he got off parole, he immediately went back to doing what he does best, abusing women. With all the charges & convictions going back to the mid 80's, I don't know why he's not considered a habitual offender or a predicate felon that should be used to give harsh sentences.

All sorts of crazy threats to kids, to her, tried to kill his sister, etc. We were all terrified as he seemed hell bent on killing my daughter & he beat his current girlfriend - but all of a sudden, he committed suicide. It was very sad but also relieving that no one has to be constantly afraid. Horrible for his children and my daughter still grieves, but they can go to bed at night not wondering what may happen. this man is exactly like my maternal grandfather.
    when presented with _years_ of evidence of wrongdoing, he refers only to the most recent one and repeatedly minimizes it. when faced with past drug use, he brings up previous suicidal behavior. he frames incidents of violence as "wanting to leave a relationship."
    multiple conflicting statements things can be true at the same time: he was an alcoholic, which is why things were so horrible in this last relationship; and also, he stopped drinking and was doing "phenomenal."
    his violence against women did not happen, was justified, and was simply a part of a flawed past that he has overcome. all of these are true at the same time.
    but most indicative is this phrase: "nothing i do is good enough for anybody."
    in the mind of someone like this, he is the only person who's ever made a lick of sense, and everyone is out to get him because of it. he is the only person who's ever really suffered.
    he can't be fixed. he's been like this for decades. he will continue to be like this.
    my grandfather did indeed stop beating his wife and daughters. this is because his daughters moved away and then he got old. he's too old to beat her anymore. he's in his 80's and he won't fucking die.
