Chip is about the unhappiest man on earth. Every single man, woman and child on earth is smarter than him. That's got to be frustrating.
People who are freaked out about Muslims have never met a Muslim. The thing that has struck me most about the Muslims I have met during my professional career is how bright, insightful, kind, patient, respectful and empathetic they were toward others. How much self-respect and integrity they had. They were always professional and well-mannered and never tried to push any religious beliefs on anyone else nor ever expressed any extreme political views. In fact, the only way you even knew they were Muslim was based on the religious holidays they took time off for. Compare that to the antics of people like MTG, Lauren Boebert, Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Matt Gaetz, etc. I know which looks worse to me, Chip Roy.

As a Natural Born American citizen, and Muslim convert, my anecdotal experience at the Mosques has been that most of my Brethren who are immigrants came here to get AWAY from the Sharia Law.

Another example of what happens when an entire political party skips right past the first amendment and immediately goes for the second amendment.
This tells us two things. First, he doesn't know there is a separation of church and state in America. Second, he's a legislator who doesn't know there is a separation of church and state and any laws he sponsors must receive the highest level of scrutiny.

I am an Australian married to a Javanese wife. We live in her Central Javanese small hometown. Both my wife and our son are Muslim. I am a Buddhist. For those who might not know Indonesia, it has a population of a shade under 280 million, of whom over 86% are Muslim. Indonesia is the 4th largest country in terms of population, after India, China and the United States. It is the most populous Islamic country in the world. On our island of Java there are just over 50 million people. most of whom are of course Muslim. Our neighbors are all Muslim.Why this explanation? ... Never once - not once - have I suffered any ostracism or harassment in our neighborhood or in the town itself. Indeed, not once in this country at all. There is NO sharia law in Java, or in Indonesia except for the province of Aceh, which is in the north of Sumatra. Polling has shown that most Indonesians, whether Islamic or other, do not want sharia law. Indonesia's motto is Unity in Diversity. (I thought this might of interest to your followers on The Damage Report, of whom I am one. The dollops of inanity in the Republican Congress or on Fox propaganda wouldn't be confused by actual facts so they don't need to read the above.)

Just you know: Every member of the European Council, of which the UK is still a member after BREXIT, is bound to the European Charter of Human Rights (ECHR) that enjoys constitutional status in these countries.
The UK has incorporated the ECHR into British national law with the Human Rights Act 1998.
That means no Sharia Law for London or the UK for that matter.
