Hey Chris. I’m from Jersey and I’ll definitely go see Sophie. She seems like such a sweet lady. Support small business!
I went out to the green today for a nice walk and stopped in at Sophie's cart! she's pure awesome! Turns out she's from Taiwan, her face lit up when I started speaking a little bit of Mandarin with her. she used to teach Mandarin! She drew out the tones on the back of a paper plate and gave me a short lesson! I went for two rounds 1 hot dog and drink per with spicy mustard and onion sauce. they were delicious! She only charges $1 for the drink so the first round was $3.50, I tipped to round it at $5. Sophie refused to take payment for the 2nd round! what!?!? So I chatted with her a few times in breaks between customers, did some walks around the park. Asked for a bottle of water and then dropped her $5 in her tip bowl, she wanted to give me change, I refused haha. She was so nice to chat with, love her energy and smile. so cool. I hope more people will stop by her cart! One of the other customers I spoke with said she's been there in snow and around Christmas time too though she said she usually does not go out if the weather is bad. I showed her this video Chris and she loved it! She recorded my phone playing it from her phone and then she took a photo of the thumbnail with the name of the video etc. so she can find it and save it on her phone. She was really happy to see this. Thank you for the video, I really hope it gives her a lot more customers, would make me very happy and her too I know it. Oh btw, the dogs had a really good snap to them today and every time she gets a break between customers, she adds more dogs in. So she seems to do a good job at keeping it all fresh. I also asked her about her onion sauce, she said she used to make her own, but had to use the jarred one now because the health inspector comes 2-3 times a year and they don't like home made ingredients, they prefer it all to be packaged, known stuff. In this economy, this is a quality meal from a kind happy lady. awesome. super happy. I will 100% try to visit her regularly, what a gem.
Been a Jets fan since Joe Namath. The dude had Leggs and wore a fur coat. The Fu Manchu mustache made the outfit cool!

Man greatest hot dog place in the world was in Poughkeepsie NY on smith street. Sadly shut down last years after 60 years on the business they had this great chili and a homemade hot sauce my God. I use to eat 3 hot dogs at ease . It's a shame absolutely the greatest.
