I'm from Queens too, people don't realize just how large it is, can't expect us to know all the amazing spots in the entire borough.
Dominick's is great for hot dogs but the italian sausage and pepper truck on that same block is amazing as well.
I live a few blocks away ! I love this cart ! Super friendly staff and the onions are the best !

They have a sister food truck down the road that opens later but everything is grilled!
And yes they do grilled hot dogs there!

I have lived 20 miles away from the Empire State Building and only go to tourist sights like that when friends come in and wanted to go or when I was in school as a trip or with exchange students. People also don't always realize the sheer size of a place like Queens is 108 square miles.
You can drive for an hour and still be in Queens. From Whitestone to Far Rockaway.

Moved to AZ in 2008 after growing up in Maspeth, Queens. When I go back to visit family, I HAVE to make my stops for dogs and heroes. Nice work!

You gotta try George’s hot dog cart in Union City NJ. Not too far from the Lincoln tunnel on the Jersey side. Same guy has been at that cart for 46+years.

Visit Bobby B’s (owned by the Mets manager, Bobby Valentine) on Atlantic Street in Stamford Connecticut. They have the best beef nachos and the best pulled pork nachos in the world.

I knew Dominic I used to work across the street from Dominic. There was a Shell gas station across the street on Woodhaven Blvd. I always enjoy his hot dogs.

i usually don't like chili dogs, but this place makes amazing chili dogs. Only bad thing about this places is they are bad with time. Some times they don't open or they open late or leave early. But i still love this place

Since I left New York 10 years ago at the age of 65, I have not had a Dominick's dog. They appear larger almost 4 to a pound; I remember them as about 5 to a pound. I thought they were custom made my Marathon for them so they'd taste like a Sabrett. Aluminum pans? we got no aluminum pans for 2 dogs, just paper plates. On the other side of Woodhaven and a little north is the elementary school I attended until 1962. I lived in the area till about 1982 and in Suffolk till 2013. I was a frequent visitor from the 60's till 10 years ago. I do miss them. If I remember correctly they will not be there on Good Friday so be aware.

Pretty sure it’s skinless Sabrett dog snaps (read article somewhere online). Native Queens here!
Added it to the list. Also, you needed to add a soda to wash it down with (unless you’re diabetic). It seems like they are very generous with the toppings (which is a good thing). Lastly, I wish smell o vision was real.
If you’re ever in central Ct, check out Capital Lunch in New Britain & Blackie’s in Cheshire.

Chris I'll give you an idea of how long they have bn there. I am not 58 years old. I've always seen them there from the age of 12 going to Jr high school all the way to Crossbay at Robert H Goddard JHS. They have been there forever.

Your videos are great. I just have to laugh living here in Montana. We never make the news about our snowstorms. New York gets 8 inches, and it's newsworthy. We get 8 inches in an hour, and it keeps going. Just this winter, 30 inches in one month, no news coverage. I'm just saying. Would love to try the hot dogs, though they look great.

That looks like a great hot dog. That’s too bad they didn’t have chili. I was surprised to see that they charge the same price for the chili dog. I see that they also use deli mustard. Chris, do any stands typically have chopped/diced onions as opposed to (or in addition to) the cooked onions? Whenever I go to Costco I love getting the hot dog with yellow mustard and the chopped onions.
