    I am always impressed at how well you can record everything even when it must be very inconvenient to have to record everything. Unless people make a lot of videos I don't think they appreciate the difficulty sometimes of doing stuff and having the camera on and getting the right angles and the audio and so on you make it look very easy. I feel so sorry about Moe's tooth I hope she has good luck at the dentist sometimes they can be an adventure also can't wait for Eanna to come back for a bit I wish he could stay with you all the time

    Well I've been watching you dock for years and you haven't messed it up so far as I can see. I remember you having trouble getting out of Greenland around those bergie bits, I think your last day. That was nerve racking! Can't wait to see Eanna again. Fun times ahead.

    I have lived by an island and ican tell you now that it is hard. Everything comes on the ferry.including feul. So not much different to being on an boat at ancour.

    Green and red isn't opposite just in UK and Ireland, it's zones a and b. Half of the world is one way the other half the other

    Your hardtop enclosure looks a good halfway between spray dodger and a wheelhouse. How do you fair for windage? Does it increase much your leeway because of the hardtop dodger?

    • @drakeParagon
      @drakeParagon  5 місяців тому +1

      I’m not sure how much the windage from the cockpit enclosure is effecting our sailing performance. With her full keel Paragon tracks really well when underway. When I bought the boat, she only had a dodger. I custom designed and built the enclosure (hiring specialists for various aspects). I think it’s great for protecting us from wind and spray offshore, and especially in heavy weather.

      No, those are radar reflectors. We have two of them hanging from the spreaders. With them up, we are sure to show up on the radars of other vessels. www.landfallnavigation.com/davis-emergency-radar-reflect.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAz8GuBhCxARIsAOpzk8zZw3b1ePAF2lbeOyxNkGKEJohy8cRYJHWLOIo7W1fCTVChSuFoKqcaAiSAEALw_wcB

    Why not try the Hydrovane?

    • @drakeParagon
      @drakeParagon  3 місяці тому +1

      When this video was filmed, I had only just recently finished installing the Hydrovane and hadn't had any experience using it yet. I wanted to wait for more ideal conditions for it's first tests than we had on this sail, much of which was very close to dead down wind. So I stuck with what I knew would work fine, using our CPT autopilot. If you'd like to see our first real test of the Hydrovane while offshore, check out this more recent video. The link starts where we started using the Hydrovane. ua-cam.com/video/tW08Dnk3fwc/v-deo.htmlsi=tmNDktfvrTQPSktx&t=1498

    Anyone who is sick should not be eating. Remember what Hippocrates said after he said "Let food be thy medicine and medicine by they food. But to eat when sick is to feed the sickness." The last thing you want to do is slow down the recovery process and that is exactly what we do when we eat when sick.
