I wish they'd done an album like this just slightly more progressed sound than 13 I remember thinking this was the sound of the next decade back in 2000. How wrong I was.
Considering this sounds heavy like a gorrilaz song and gorrilaz proceeded to be one of the biggest bands of the noughtes it was the sound of the next decade
They had an awesome music style going for them in 2000-2002. Unfortunately, Graham left in 2002 and that style was subsequently abandoned. Other songs from the era worth checking out to get a feel for that sound are Black Book, The Outsider, Morricone, Kissin' Time (released by Marianne Faithfull but mostly played and written by Blur), So You, and Some Glad Morning. "1" and "3" from the Bill Laswell sessions (from 2000) also give you an idea, although I don't know how many members worked on those. Fool's Day also has a similar style despite being made several years afterwards. Battery in Your Leg is also a fantastic culmination of all 4 members' efforts into a single product whilst evolving past 13's sound, but we all know that song anyway because it actually made it to an album.
Sólo vi este video una vez en Mtv , no pude olvidarlo y tampoco la melodía . Acabe comprando el disco doble con el concierto , la edición especial muy bueno . También me recuerda a la naranja mecánica .

"13" is my favourite Blur album. However, as much as I love "Tender", I never really felt like it fits too well with all the other titles on "13". That´s why I have "Music Is My Radar" made the opener for my version of "13". And now it´s probably my favourite album of all times. Try it out!
@@robsdianten1 Thanks a bunch, Diana. Your exquisite taste in music is beyond question anyway :) I wish "13" would get more attention in general. It´s some kind of BLUR´s "Kid A" and for me BLUR aren´t any less relevant than Radiohead.
I think Tender is a great song by itself, and it was one of the introductory songs to blur for me. I can imagine how MIMR ending would work well with Bugman's beginning now
@@birjarq Tender is great and it´s just another example of BLUR´s versatility (there is a mighty fine acoustic version out there, backstage at the Jimmy Fallon Show). However, I would have a hard time, choosing the "right" BLUR album to put it on. It´s something quite a bit different. But hell yeah, making MIMR the opener for "13" made this album sound 120% right for me.

Something about this video feels so unsettling. The dancers and choreography are cool, but the way the video is shot, there is never any immersion; we see either the stage lights or cameras at all times, and it keeps cutting to the boys in Blur just sitting around, makes it feel like the dancers aren't doing anything important. Heightening that feeling is the fact that it all takes place during a commercial break, not even live on TV, so who was that performance for? In any case, an unforgettable video.
The video's set-up and choreography is taken from the Italian film "The 10th victim" from 1965. The futuristic film is about a reality game show where the participants have to kill each other.
