This album is a winner. It truly delivers the Assemblage 23 sound I love so much. In fact, I think it is maybe more intense, better dance feel... can't say enough about how awesome this is!
As someone pursuing a PhD in political science, this track struck a perfect cord in my mind. It's up there with Binary as a cogent message to the US populace. Thanks, Tom. I miss your old discussion forum on the Assemblage 23 website.
CD is going to ship to me soon but I gotta admit I can't stop listening to these songs...Tom's touch with each subsequent album just seems to get better...
Although it's VERY hard to choose, I think this (Crosstalk) and Madman's Dream are two of your most bad-ass songs yet. But then there's Drive, Noise Inside My Head, and quite a few others that make it a really difficult choice to choose only these. Thank you fo the great music AND the great lyrics to go with it (a rarity in this day indeed). If I were one of the aliens from Total Recall, I would give you 3 thumbs up! :D
Since I wrote this, there's been several other songs from A23 I've listened to that are nearly impossible to choose from: Otherness, Spark, Divide, Document, How Can You Sleep, Ground, Horizon, Drive, Disappoint, Decades...the list goes on and on. Seriously, the moment I say "Hey, I think that's my favorite", I find a new one and am like ok, next favorite lol
Interestingly im a huge Metal freak, especially into black and industrial and never was into electronic music as the lyrics,or the lack of it really bothered me. Now this is completely different, catchy music with amazing lyrcs. Really enjoying it. Keep it up. Greetings from Austria
Tom, this is simply amazing. True, raw, perfectly deep music. Every time I think you can't possibly make a better album you just have to release another to prove me wrong. I can't wait until your tour hits the US, I'll be certain to be in attendance at the venue closest to me. Thanks for the amazing music, it never ceases to amaze me.
Yes, it's not that typical electro you hear blasting everywhere . Those lyrics i guess give it the dark vibe, just because they are true. Of course not every song appeals to me but this one and maps of reality are by far my favorit
Tom, I must say, I think Bruise may be your magnum opus, at least thus far. Where some bands begin to lose their way, you just continue to get better and better.
It's electro without being TOO electro though isn't it? There's a dark vibe to it which is probably what draws you to the band. I'm exactly the same, I'm a huge metal head but this kind of dark gothic electro really appeals to me.
I can't be the only person here who hear's a 'tiny bit' of Donkey Kong Country Invulnerability theme somewhere in this song, can I? Hahaha. Great song.
Remember hearing this song when it first came out. Crazy how this song relates to today's time. Tom, you're scaring me!!
I've been listening to all Assemblage 23 songs and not a single one disappoints me! much love from The Netherlands

Relevant now more than ever
This by far has been my most favorite album these guys have made they just get better with each new album. Been a fan over 20 years.
A23 is a one man act, unless you're seeing them live. Tom does everything.

Sounding great in my KRK 8400s blasting loud! Excellent song and masterfully mixed!
Instant classic indeed. The A23 sound as usual, with a few new tricks. Amazing
Very good. Tom Shear is the king of synthpop. -Andy Ry Denmark
Fantastic new track. Tom is brilliant
Thanks for posting your songs. I have the CD, but this makes it easy to share with others and make new A23 fans.
one of my favourite
Can't wait to buy this from iTunes!
See you tonight in LA 🖤
This album is so great!

jameswasil He's an incredible song and lyric writer. I was a little disappointed in Endure, though.

Damn, I am really digging your sounds.
There's something simultaneously soothing and exciting about your music. I love it!

Have you seen the sales for this album? He's second only to Skinny Puppy in sales on Metropolis, and he's on the top 100 euro chart right now.

this is really catchy!
this shit is baller. keep it up, tom. appreciate the music.
Tom is a god among mortal men!
May I just point out how awesome it that you're both talking about metal music, and you have usernames that match the conversation perfectly? XD

I dont have any money but Im ordering this CD anyway.
I would add "Madman's dream" off of Meta to that list, plus maybe "Blindhammer" from Defiance and probably a few more I'm forgetting.
Dear Tom Shear,
Please make some shitty music so I don't sound like a rabid fanboy whenever telling people about Assemblage 23.
Thanks
Right?
3 people got lost among the crosstalk
I just did ^^

Remind me JFK Vs Revolution 9 - Metropolis
Version without vocal would be great
