Inside the beige expanse Between the two extremes Reality begins to flicker A wall with no detail A face with no expression A gun with a missing trigger No anger or despair No ecstasy or bliss Just a husk left with no feeling Shambling through life In non-descript surroundings A soul that's worth concealing No ups No downs Emotion gone No blood No soul Automaton Emotionally inert Sporadically alert The drone of the world is numbing The traffic howls outside The rumble of machines Seem to warn of what is coming The pressure starts to build While the surface is pristine There's no sign of doom impending But cracks begin to form An aperture in bloom A threshold to somber endings No ups No downs Emotion gone No blood No soul Automaton Distant and detached Impassive and aloof The bullets start to rip through the building Splinters taking flight Through nebulas of smoke And the cries of the unwilling Emotion overwhelms A hurricane of fear A moment of realization The monster hid inside Until it couldn't sleep A disastrous abomination No ups No downs Emotion gone No blood No soul Automaton
I don't understand this comment. I get that FF14 is probably Final Fantasy 14. Was this song in that video game or was there a similar song featured? Please help me understand.
@thetemplelaboratory5125 I'm pretty late to this, but I remember this is how I found this song. It just sounds eerily similar to a few of the raid boss songs to Alexander. Locus and Exponential Entropy. The main lyrics from Locus are very "machine wondering why the indomitable human spirit won't willingly die to the inevitable entropy of the universe." You'll have to find a video with lyrics, as the singer is heavily edited to sound more like a machine.
@@0MPMatt ooh daaamn, fr, i said omega, but there is deeeef some alex in this too! Thx for calling it and never too late, i almost forgot this existed so thx for bringing me back to that music album!
Now, his voice is taking me awhile to get used to his voice (he has a strange but unique singing style) but it works PERFECTLY with the robot voice. I'm loving this song on the first listen :D
Some guy on The new aesthetic perfection Automaton video mentioned this so I had to check it out.
Not disappointed
I was searching for this song for 7 years and now I finally found it.
Inside the beige expanse
Between the two extremes
Reality begins to flicker
A wall with no detail
A face with no expression
A gun with a missing trigger
No anger or despair
No ecstasy or bliss
Just a husk left with no feeling
Shambling through life
In non-descript surroundings
A soul that's worth concealing
No ups
No downs
Emotion gone
No blood
No soul
Automaton
Emotionally inert
Sporadically alert
The drone of the world is numbing
The traffic howls outside
The rumble of machines
Seem to warn of what is coming
The pressure starts to build
While the surface is pristine
There's no sign of doom impending
But cracks begin to form
An aperture in bloom
A threshold to somber endings
No ups
No downs
Emotion gone
No blood
No soul
Automaton
Distant and detached
Impassive and aloof
The bullets start to rip through the building
Splinters taking flight
Through nebulas of smoke
And the cries of the unwilling
Emotion overwhelms
A hurricane of fear
A moment of realization
The monster hid inside
Until it couldn't sleep
A disastrous abomination
No ups
No downs
Emotion gone
No blood
No soul
Automaton
Epic! 🎉🎉🎉
Finally found it
Amazing blend of EBM and EDM. Love it.
Wish I could get an instrumental version tbh
What is old is new, glad Tom went to his roots a bit with this album.
