Love looking at the amazing aesthetics and engineering of the Scott bikes! But would NEVER buy another one again. Fixing, tuning and servicing them is soooo complicated. It's like they hate bike shop workers and want to torture them.
Yep agree just more expensive cable routing to service. Let's try and route cable through really acute angles and see how long they last......the cable rub on the sparks is insane and prematurely wears out the cables at the owners expense and forget a simple headset service.
Question is - when is the new Ransom coming out and will they follow a similar hidden design - I would go for it if it is soon and not move away from my loyal Santa Cruz support
Great video! Can some pls explain to me why Scott has always put such an emphasis on having a “nude” shock, especially now with one you can’t even see?! 🤷🏻♂️
The man that travels the world. Some of the most epic videos I have ever seen. I'm Zucked in florida and I dream everyday of having the freedom and means to do 1/1000th of what this guy does. But unfortunately its out of reach to me.
Brendan, you do such a great job by making eye-catching videos, cooperating with guys from Scott factory and winning races! All the best for you and we are waiting for more! 🦾🚲
I’ve always been surprised by how much wear I get on my external cables/housings, just from them casually rubbing together from riding. Funneling them into such a small area (that also rotates) seems like it could really accelerate wear - especially when grit gets into the unsealed entry port. Still on the fence about the cable management attempted here, as it’s not a simple solution to a problem that doesn’t exist….and could introduce new problems
@@marko6706 I’m not hating on it!! It’s a cool idea but it seems that bikes are becoming like vehicles and motorcycles and they are pushing you into shops to do regular adjustments and maintenance instead of allowing the rider/driver to be able to work on them!!!
@@tjwarth344 I take it you've not actually had access to one, getting to adjust or setup the shock is no more tricky than opening the in frame storage box on any of the current bikes that have those...The cable routing through the headset has a special place in hell reserved for it if I have any say
As a mechanic myself and Scott dealer it is not that big of a ball ache at all. The panel that comes off gives you access to everything you need for adustments, servicing, removal and replacement and what not. I thought it would be terrible but is not after having them in the shop. BUT THE INTERNAL ROUTING THROUGH HEADSET IS AWFUL TO DO, HEADSET BEARING REPLACEMENT BECOMES VERY EXPENSIVE
it is okay. for all those sacrifices, the industrial revolution now give birth to this bike. to combat global warming by riding to places we dont have to go.
About time you uploaded again. Good to have you back!

yes I remember the downhill bike Scott Gambler 710(?) I think, it had a very cool but likely difficult linkage for the rear
I can’t wait to see the 2023 Ransom
Bro done good: so proud, can't wait to ride one.
I hope they make a super light emtb version of this. I would totally buy one.

Brendans voice clearly is overflowing with excitement.
1:04 if you "blur" out the stick, don't forget the shadow😉😃
Got to secretly ride of these in the spring when I was volunteering at a bike shop for school
As you say lovely lean lines like the Spark
Can't wait to try the new Scott Grip2 damper 😂

Thanks I'll stick with my scott genius 2020.😁

Me just watching the intro: "OMG thus guy is fu***** awesome!!"🔥🤟
Me too: "OK is Brendan Fairclough"😅🔥🤟
hmm and to service the shock?

That s a night mate to take care of!🤦🏻
Can’t wait not to get it for a service 😂
How do you know how much sag you have on the shock? or how much travel you've used?
There's a dial on the outside to show just that
what's this ridge trail called?
It's the famous:
lefti-deadi righti-tears for years trail
We need REVOLUTION BP test 🚀
Before it closes..
And a video of these so beautiful but in Spanish??? You don't have anyone in Spain??
It's a nice looking bike but Gee I'd hate to work on it!! Cables through the headset really!!! Just keep it simple
My New favorite Weapon.......Ha !!
You need a weapon to service it 😅
@@OLI-vx1md Ha..Nothing's hard to do if ya know how to do it....Easypeasy..Ha !!
👍
Omg i want one
Isn't it just a rebranded Bold, the company Scott bought a few years back, the Bold Ultimate looks a better bike.
ok Bob, now go back to post food pics on Facebook
Only thing I need to know:
I can’t afford it 😢
9 like foi o meu
Noooooo thanks!
does anyone at scott care about mechanics or "freedom of movement" Poor insertion depth and poor cable routing
That hidden shock is like paying for a stripper, then asking her to keep her clothes on.
Looks like an E-Bike, a nightmare to service! Stop inventing stupid cable routing through headsets! Who does things like that? A nightmare!
Could u imagine all the issues with that rear shock etc and trying to service and adjust the shock
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Haters

That’s gonna be a no for me dog
Nice but I'll stick to me WHYTE G160 CRS thanks....👍🙌
Whyte bikes bb too low.
Insane man.....u r inspiration for our group #pepratimtbroma .....thank u so much:)
Bold cycles do the integrated shock so much better.
Where's the fucking snow!? We totally screwed up the planet.
We have snow today here in Switzerland for the first time this year \0/. But yea we screwed it hard.....and still do.
