In other interviews when he talks about it I’ve also gotten choked up every time. I’m not a dad but I have dealt with addiction and it’s just so sad he lost his son to the stupid, horrible disease.

The perfect example of how we don’t really know what’s going on in someone’s life. This is the limousine riding jet flying wheeling and dealing Nature Boy Ric Flair. But he is also a heartbroken father who lost his son to the opioid crisis. My heart grieves for his loss.
Real talk man. Shannon Sharpe is the man. He knows how to talk to people. And he knows how to respond to people, listen to people. We deserve this. America needs this.
I remember in 2007, looking up at jumbotron during a Stevie Wonder concert, and to my surprise there was Ric Flair, on front row, dancing, singing and having the time of his life! This solidified what I've known since a child, The Nature Boy is the real deal and the definition of 'coolness'.
This is by far the greatest interview that Shannon has done. Ric’s life story is touching, amazing, and heartbreaking at the same time. His will for survival and to beat the odds, while enduring so many traumatizing experiences, loss of loved ones, and carrying so much emotion and pain. And to be blessed to wake up everyday and still give this life the best of him possible is amazing. Ric Flair is one of the greatest stand up guys I’ve ever seen on earth hands down. I saw Ric Flair and Shannon Sharpe and immediately was locked in. As a huge fan of wrestling, I love listening to both of these men talk and I am locked in
I'm 46 and can't remember a time I wasn't watching Ric Flair. The word Legend is used loosely often but it definitely applies to this man.
I respect this man, flair has me in tears. Not afraid to show his emotions as a father. Humility and vulnerability he's as real as it gets.

This man’s physical and mental health has been challenged significantly throughout his life. He is truly an inspiration and one of the best examples of perseverance of the human spirit. He even said on that ESPN 30 for 30 that he shouldn’t be alive considering everything he been through throughout his life and career.
Ric Flair's life story is legendary, and it's surprising that a movie hasn't been made yet. His charisma, wrestling prowess, and the sheer impact he's had on the sport and its fans are unbelievable. A movie would not only honor his legacy but also inspire generations. It's crucial to celebrate such icons while they're still with us, to show our appreciation for their contributions. Here's hoping the film industry takes note soon and brings his extraordinary journey to the big screen!

I think Ric was a bit surprised with all the old school names Shannon was throwing out. He really was a fan of wrestling. The part where he talked about his son was heart wrenching.
If you ever needed a clear example of how these characters are real people with real problems, use Ric Flair. The flashiest, loudest, arguably biggest persona of all time (and the Texas Rattlesnake is my favorite of all time, so there’s no bias) is the most honest and humble human outside of the ring. And he’s just as open in every other interview. Thank you for this one Unc! 🔥

I was aware that his daughter was a wrestler, but now I truly have a massive amount of respect for her. Especially knowing now that she joined the wrestling industry to keep her brother's memory and the promises that he made towards his old man alive and well.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching this episode. 👏👏❤️❤️ I am 48 years old and of course I am a fan of Ric’s, but even more so after watching this! What a great interview from a great man! I have so much respect for him and his work ethic. It broke my heart to see him talk about the loss of his son. I felt his pain and understand that showing “tough love” is easier said than done. I can honestly say as a Mom of 3 I also cannot imagine turning my back on my children. I think I would be afraid if I did they may end up worse or no longer here. I say all of this to say to him he did nothing wrong and did what so many other parents would do in his shoes. I pray he finds peace and can finally forgive himself. He seems like such a loving man and no doubt his son felt that love. God Bless Mr. Flair and his family! Thank you Shannon for another fantastic interview!! You also are such a kind man!! This is an epic interview , credit to Shannon for having the courage to ask such difficult questions and let the Nature Boy let go at least a little bit of his grief .
You really feel the emotions that he had for his parents and David. People often forget to humanize our heroes. As a family who has dealt with addiction, I pray that my children never pick up some of my previous experiences with addiction. I hope they see me for what I am now clean and sober. What Ric went through with his son is a sobering reality check for me to continue on the right path.

A lot of dudes didn't like Renner because she came across as one that preyed on men. In particular, the young man that she got pregnant from. And she told Shannon that she slept with a Lot of Dudes. Shannon told her she should keep that number to herself

Shannon, let me start by saying this, you are probably one of the best host there is. I mean you ask the questions that YOU want to know, I can tell by you reading your notes. You are extremely prepared as well, I’m very impressed if that means anything, I personally have my own podcast. It’s not easy. The second part of my post is this, as crazy and Ludacris, as some of Ric’s stories, i.e. Claims are, go back and look at other interviews. Word for Word. They are the same down to the smallest and my details, Rick is brutally honest even about the things he doesn’t want to talk about, or the questions that he’s repeatedly answered over and over through the years. Glad to see he’s well, and doing good. Shannon keep up the good work.!! In my opinion, you hold the same status at your position as the man you interview on this day! The best ever !

I started watching wrestling well after ric flair’s era (early 2000s). Even though I never saw him wrestle I’ve always heard his name and knew he was a legend. It’s so interesting learning about him, his life and his legacy. Bless his heart ❤️

We went to see Ric Flair at the Superdome in New Orleans when i was 10 years old in 1985. The funniest memory of that trip for me was everyone in the audience was booing Ric during the match and cheering for whoever it was he was wrestling and my Mama had her thumb in her mouth holding her teeth in and yelling GET HIM RIC!! 😂😂😂
