I've always liked the design of the bailout especially vs the bugout. Congrats on picking one up. I can't wait to here your review after you carry it for a bit.
I was able to pick up (2) of these early early on when they first came out. I think it was 230-240 ? Anyway I love the bailout and tossed on some AWT scales. Its a nice folder I enjoy it when it comes into rotation !
The weight/size/performance ratio is exceptional on the Bailout. It definitely punches above it's weight class. Not a big fan of tantos though, so I reground mine to a droppoint. Definitely a knife you don't have to mod to enjoy it.
Sean did you ever get affiliate codes or link for a reasonably priced sharpening system? Kme, Tpros etc? I would prefer to use a link from you on a good system with stones for my bench top. Feeling creative and moving away from my belt grinding for a change of pace! Thanks brother. Godspeed
Thanks brother and yes I have amazon affiliate links in the description box and the KME is in there! That will always be my top recommendation for anyone getting into sharpening and you can get as good of results as you want! Just depends how much time and dedication you put into it, typically you will learn something with every knife you sharpen so the more you sharpen the better youll get with it!
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL Excellent. I will check out KME. I had looked at the Tprof Cadet .... it's between 500-600$. Doesn't look too bad with a heavy base
I hear you brother, I was very blessed to have one gifted to me! Definitely wasn’t expecting to be able to get one for awhile but Chris made that possible and Ive been really putting it to the test! This steel keeps on surprising and impressing me with how well it holds up and the level of sharpness it maintains and just everything about it! And amen brother, Jesus loves you as well! 👊🏼☺️
I know I know… I’m not a big benchmade fan either but they definitely have a few great models that I really love. Now whether they are priced appropriately is another discussion but whatcha gonna do 🤷🏻♂️. The fact that they dont hold good secondary market values is beneficial if there’s one you want to check out and not over pay!
Hey man, what’s that knife you were talking about the one where you’re talking about it being heat treated you said it was a really good metal and stuff like that. It was something about a 15 V Mannix. Could you tell me the make and model on that so I can look it up? I kinda wanna check that one out. Because if you say it’s one of the best knives you’ve had then I believe you and I wanna get a really good knife.
Thanks brother and thats what im saying man! Thats why it bothers me that they couldn’t even respond and say no… they just disregarded me but I get it. They don’t have time to go through my channel and verify the value that id offer. They only see the subscriber count and if its high enough, they will send you whatever you want even if you’ve never sharpened a knife! But who knows man maybe they will see my videos once I get it and then reach out to me 🤷🏻♂️ who knows. Regardless, I’ll give my honest opinions like always and I’m super excited to get it and see what I can do!
I don’t own a tanto pm2, only other tantos I have at the moment is a ultratech and socom elite. I can almost say with certainty that this bailout will be a better edc style knife. Most capable while maintaining small profile and light weight. Plus the blade grind is nice and thin… I hate to say it but I think this is a damn good knife 🤷🏻♂️
I scored a REC Shaman on the original drop and ended up trading it very much in my favor so I don’t really regret it. Plus I tend to not use those kinda knives the same way I use the others and it’s hard for me to justify the price for it just to sit in my case. The REC Manix might be the best looking exclusive they’ve done though and I do use mine so it has a secure spot in my collection!
My plan when I got the manix was to destroy it on the internet 😂 but I had a change of heart and just sold it but I did pick up a rec pm2 on the last drop and I’ve been using it so hard dude!!! The coating is tough as nails !!
I agree, the pricing is definitely a negative and the glass breaker is annoying BUT I honestly do really like this knife so far. I obviously just got it so that could change but I think I’m going to love it!
Spyderco gives you the best quality cutting tools for the money without a doubt, unfortunately they don’t have any tantos besides the pm2 tantos and they are tricky to get and also just as expensive. This is a model ive been wanting to try and I got it for $100 less than retail and it’s practically brand new so I’m happy with it so far for the price I paid. If I paid full retail it might be a tough call. 🤷🏻♂️
@@BLADESANDFADESOFFICIAL nice man! I need to look into the secondary market. How do you go about to assure that the knife is not beat up before you pay and have it shipped in hand? I always worry about getting one that is totally wrecked lol
@@Wiselys2018 Spyderco MilliePm2P3 club on Facebook is the best and safest place for buying any kind of knife on the secondary market. You still have to look out for yourself and ask the right questions, ask for good pictures and video and also ask for vouches from other people they’ve done deals with to make sure they are a good person. I happen to know alot of the members over there and had already done business with the guy who sold me this knife so I knew he was trustworthy. If you don’t know them you just have to do a little digging before you go sending money!
Please explain your problem with Benchmade s’ political views that you have a problem with? Is it that they back the police and donated their time to help them?
No not at all and it’s irrelevant to this video. I’m giving my first impressions of the knife, not how I feel about them as a company. But no I don’t have a problem with anyone backing police… not sure where that came from.
Not trying to be rude but I can’t stand anything to do with politics because our politicians on both sides are worthless. Definitely not a conversation for this early in the morning!
tantos are badass. i love how inherently tough the tips are. stab through anything you want
Great channel - first video loved my m4 bailout. Carried it for a while great knife.
Great honest review

@BLADES AND FADES have you ever used tprof? Pricey for sure
@@Aviation_Professional not yet!
I was willing to test more of benchmade stuff but they have raised prices again way past my personal perceived value 🤷♂️ love the video big dog
Thanks brother and im right there with you! This is one that I don’t regret though, still one of my most carried knives to this day!
Awesome stuff! Great video brother 👍
Thanks

I’d love to try the 15v just not in the budget for me now. Same for Kme, but still interested to hear your thoughts on tsprof. Jesus loves you ✌🏽
