Same. It's good because it's simple and cool looking...these other ones like what Max are using doesn't even look like Scorpion. It looks like a DC red lantern. Too busy.

I bought this game mainly for the story, and maaaaan it is humbling watching people like max play because it instantly makes me realize how much of a button masher I am. I cannot even begin to fathom how you manage to pull of combos like these, I just get bodied hardcore
You just need to slowly spend a bit of time per day in practice mode I know it can feel overwhelming but you'd get good faster that you think
Find a character that does it for you. Look up combo guides on YT. They are usually very easy to follow. A bit of training you can master the timing.
And the rest is just how good and smart you are in managing space and recognizing when to punish your opponent, which you only gain by expreince.
And you do not need to master every character to compete 1 or 2 is enough. In MK9 I only played Cyber Sub-Zero, in MKX I played Ninjitsu Scorpion and Sektor Triborg, and in MK11 I played Noob Saibot and Kung Lao, in MK1 I only play Rain and Reiko.
I mean honestly it's not that bad, the beginning combo he literally did the same thing 3 times then did something different 3 times in a row. It's like 5 buttons

Yeah at least you aren’t playing Tekken. Which btw I would recommend playing but the combos are a lot harder than Mortal Kombat.

Just noticed when Liu Kang does his fatal blow, the mk dragon mark he leaves on the floor stays for the rest of the match. Pretty cool little detail 🔥🔥
I found that sektor is a really good combo with pretty much everybody but nobody is using him as much because of being over shadowed by Serena
I'll have to give him a try next. I'm working on complete kameo mastery right now. Got Frost done and am working on Sereena now. Might use Sektor next
Scorpions rope spin with sektors spin is a chip damage nightmare, pretty dang hard to counter

@@blankblankersonfair warning, the air combos may take a little time to get used to… at least for me anyway, and I got too comfortable with the mk11 amplify system so I’m paying the price having to relearn pretty much everything 💀

It’s like a combination between modern clothy costumes and that era of weird actual scorpion scaly armor costumes. Also looks like something thatd come from a really good fan made concept. Also they should add animalities
Try Darrius with Scorpion, his forward assist gives Scorpion some good mix which he doesn't normally have.
Do 2, 1, into forward assist, then wait a split second and do Down 3, and the second part of Darrius attack (an overhead) will actually link and do a full juggle. This game has got SO much cool stuff dude.

Speaking of brutalities does anyone remember when x rays on mkx could become brutalities themselves and I wish they would bring that back because I thought that was awesome
I personally wish they would get rid of x rays entirely, been the same shit since 9 and it's really played out. They take way too long for how boring they are to watch after 4 games.
@@joshvarga3591I agree with this, just like fatalities but at least fatalities aren’t a core part of the strategy when you’re in a fight so they don’t get annoying to see every so often. I actually wouldn’t mind if X-rays/Fatal Blows were replaced with a krushing blow and each character has one and can only use it once per match, while still having the same ‘rules’ as a fatal blow. It would at least have a much quicker animation.
@@joshvarga3591 yes I agree with this and I get they want to show cool animations and crazy gore effects but it does get boring because I think they are slow and a cheap way of getting 30%-40% damage like the whole thing just needs to go away because it is a waste of time and mortal Kombat did fine without them in the first place aways
@@jo0rd73 actually I think the Krushing blows are neat and it is based on what do you like with mK11 have to do one move 5 times or repeat a certain moves 2-3 to get it and got extra damage and it awards you for doing that and it is basically based on the players skill
Also the whole X-ray thing is annoying but when it becomes a brutality it is neat because it cuts the animation in half sometimes and you get a cool kill animation like I remember doing leatherbacks x-ray brutality and being surprised because I didn't know that was thing until I saw it

Great triple launch combo with Sektor. I would also recommend working on Scorpion’s air combos because they are really fun.
Also it’s good to keep in mind that his 122 combo ends with an overhead so you can mix people up with a Kameo that hits low.
I have not had this fun in a mk game since elementary school with mkx during the 4th grade. I play Havik and Johnny a lot but damn dude is it fun seeing max lay and enjoy ranked.

I've spent hours on king of the hill for that last pvp achievement, out of those last 10 KotH, every one of them had a Smoke at the top with no defeat. God i hate that cheap 50/50 character. I came here to relax and see Max win some.
The incantation Scorpion does when pulling hellfire under your feet sounds like "Oh ma gawd!" and now I can't unhear it.

I got really into SF6 as my first fighting game 3 months ago. Modern controls is a life saver since i got wrist issues so doing difficult inputs is well difficult! Is MK1 decently easy to get into combo/input wise like SF6 was or is it not recommended for someone new to the genre?
Not as easy as Modern SF6 but easier than many other fighters

I hate the lack of wakeups in this game you can’t push people off who have you in a corner so your forced to block and still take damage
This is a somewhat valid complaint. It can be tricky.
It’s classic mk been like that since mk9 everyone hated mk11 cause there were like 11 different wakeups to worry about.
Everyone has a universal wake up, or sometimes u can even wake up grab and catch them off gaurd. I will agree corner pressure is scary but there are options
Yeah, no. If you prefer the MK11 wakeup where you armor through everything then thats straight trash.
MKX wakeup were much better cos you get punished for using special abilities and each character had a unique wakeup.
I'd settle for chip not being able to kill. Getting spam locked into death is terrible game design objectively. Open me up legitimately.

The skins would look so much better if they stuck with the regular colors. Different yellows for scorpion, different blues for sub zero. Maybe throw in some neutral colors but don't do all this weird shit.
The invasion season scorpion is what you're looking for
You can get this skin beating season 1 of Invasion mode. His colors will just be his default yellow.

In every fighting game i ever played i was always scared/hesitant to play ranked cause i'm pretty casual in fighting games. Do you think you learn the game better by playing ranked matches or should i stick to kasual matches until i feel decent enough?
Just got to ranked, theres no reason not to, you can always recover and get your rank back up once youre good at the game. Plus youre more likely to get matched with players of similar skill and can easily track your progress through your rank.
