This is really nuts. I do wonder if this is intended or indicative of a bug. I'm hoping it's more on the intended side, but it's hard to imagine how a team like Man U could drop so low. I'd love to see a deep dive into some of these teams to see how it went wrong for them.
I feel like maybe because the match engine is a bit more "chaotic" lower end teams can topple bigger teams easier, slowly rising above them.
I really hope it's intended. Makes a game way more interesting later on when you're challenging new teams
To be fair, big teams failing over 2 or 3 decades is very common. If you look at english football before the united and liverpool wins, it puts things into perspective. So in 100 years it does make sense things change so much.
But, it is definitely insane that top clubs drop out of existence within 30 or 40 years itself
100 years ago the best teams in the country were totally different so I think so,e random teams will be at the top

0:23 It's funny how you didn't flinch as Sheffield is 5th in the PL ponferrada were 3rd in la la liga and Spezia winning the seria A with Crotone qualifying for the UCL and Cittedella being that high as well. Spezia winning is crazy though, Seria A in that sim is a madness

Spezia always seem to get promoted and immediately get European football in my save with Milan. They got promoted in the 2027/2028 season and immediately got 5th then 3rd.
It's obvious that@@TomFM knows little about football outside the UK or some of the top European leagues. You can really see that he has never heard of some of the clubs that should be well known to a seasoned FM player. For example, when he says that AIK is from Malmö or when he refers to Sedan as Ardennes.

@@TomFM Has to be some odd beta bug no? I'm in the first season and there's so many 'bad' teams doing really well and good teams doing really bad... It's like every team no matter what quality of players always are just on even ground (This is how it looks on my save)
Benfica's curse continues, 4 or 5 more finals and lost every single one
It could be fun to see these simulations but on other continents.
Also, I'm really surprised that Monza (Brianza) and Napoli (Parthenope) are unlicensed.
I think the Italian clubs have exclusive licences with other companies, I think Konami for eFootball
Even if this isn't necessarily realistic I'm really glad it's like this.
It's certainly a lot more fun this way!

I love the fact that when you checked the UECL, I saw Châteauroux winning the title once while the team is currently in the 3rd division and is a semi-pro team 🙃

I mean i've had some crazy promotions and relegations in FM22 but this is mental. Maybe a bit too much. Looks like teams just rise/fall way too fast, seeing how quickly you get these crazy UEL and UECL winners. I mean as a longterm player this really makes every save unique but maybe tone it done just a little bit.
I mean the massive clubs stayed massive for 50 years, before starting to fall off. It’s not too bad, we just expect the norm of the current world
@@rileypassias2549 Doing a sim myself and so far and around 2040 it looks okay. Most major clubs are still major.
Can't really confirm this. Simmed to 2050 now and everthing looks fine. Maybe this depends on how your game is set up. The most oulandish european cup winner is FC zurich winning the conference league in 2043. Which i'm totally ok with. CL winners are your usual suspects.
Finally seeing some variation with teams doing well or poorly after a while

22/23 is the best season for the north east, Gateshead winning europa league and Newcastle winning the champions league. scenes on Tyneside
Always love watching these 100-year simulation vids, but wasn’t excepting my local side Sutton to be the most recent champions by any means 😂😂
I wish this wasn't just Europe, I care much more about the Brazilian and Argentinian leagues than Wales or Ireland.

Would be nice if you can look at the player records. Was there a newgen legend that won 10 Ballon d'ors for instance? I assume that there could have been one at Newcastle in their dominant years. And what did his attributes look like? I hope you do a second video of this experiment.

As a Bristol Rovers fan it's amazing to see them win a Europa Conference League title, and make Champions League and Europa League finals, and also reaching 2nd in the Premier League. Although it did take about 90 years haha
AIK is from Solna in Stockholm, Sweden. It's the club where Alexander Isak started in.

I actually gotta say, "I like the unpredictability of the game now," it will make every save feel more unique and in all honesty it would be boring to just play against Man City and Man United and Liverpool in the Champions League, I want to see smaller teams in there creating their own dynasties because realistically Liverpool, Man United and Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham will not always be top tier English premier league teams with all of them coming in the 1st-6th positions all the time.

I’ve seen other videos with the same procedure and whats really interesting is that St. Pauli always seem to develop pretty good and always settle in the Bundesliga while dominating it for quite some time. Wonder why this happens or why FM thinks St. Pauli is going to be that good in the future.
I wasn't born when we played against Ajax in the European Cup Final back on 1970-71 but I hope that I'll be able to see my team Panathinaikos to a Champions League final one day and hopefully win it as well ☘️☘️☘️

I just realised Tom you do likely have serie C loaded but it's 3 different divisions below what's normally serie C as Serie C overall is more a playoff thing / battle between those that qualify from serie C/A C/B and C/C

Tom! You probably had Serie C loaded, you just got confused by the old Serie C screen. If you kept going you would've found the 3 current Serie C leagues.

Great video! I'm interested in how the new gens develop over the years. While you have the data, can you see how balanced the new gens attributes develop?
I read that in the last few editions. There might be say 50 full backs with over 14 crossing then in the future only 4 have!
New gens always seem to have really unbalanced attributes.
