I was actually, not myself, for the past three days worrying about my ipad air, 4th generation. You are the man. Your method definitely solved my problem. With one try, no black screen. Now my question is....will I need any further work on my ipad. What caused this...and how do I prevent this from happening again.
I tried all methods myself on my 2017 iPad Pro (which does have the Touch ID button), I admit I was a bit nervous and didn’t apply too much pressure. Which resulted in no luck. However, my husband tried immediately after and it was a complete success after a firm massage on the back/front of the iPad. THANK YOU!
I just bought an iPad Pro 11” M2 a couple of weeks ago, imagine when today it didn’t turn on even I was sure the battery was full. I tried and tried to do the volume up, down and main power many times and nothing this was over three hours, my fingers was hurting so much 😫, finally with the massage front & back and the up down volume and power buttons the iPad turned on. It was a such a relief, thanks 🤗🙏

Hey dude, thanks for this. I tried it on my ipad with a home screen button (even though you said not to) that had gone completely black. I’m writing this out in case someone else is in my position.
I saw another video saying it hit it in a specific way, but that didn’t work so I was skeptical. I decided to try massaging it first like in the video. then hitting it lightly on the back, then turned it over and pressed on the bottom right spot next to the home button. Before it turned completely black, it had first turned into a screen of lines, and I noticed if I pressed sort of hard on the bottom right of the ipad frame the lines would move and sometimes clear up a little, but that spot did nothing once the screen went black.
So after massaging and hitting it I turned it around and pressed around in that area again and my ipad went back to normal! Hopefully it stays this way, but at least I got it back to normal so I could make sure to back everything up to icloud.

WOW - iPad Pro 5th generation 12.9” model A2378, purchased Dec ‘21, so 13 months old - screen just went black, and reset options didn’t work. I pressed down on it firmly, all over the front and back and it then turned on - glad I found this video!!!!!!!
Pro 11. Black screen for two weeks. Did the quick press volumes then held on button. Came back to life! I can't believe it... thank you.
man what can i say, i have watched a several videos saying do a lot of stuff and download software, and didn't even work out, i just watched the first minute of your video and all it takes is just one click volume up and then down and hold power button for 4 second and it worked!, thank you very much

with home button so how I did it is, pressing power and home button at the same time for a couple of seconds, then it should open.
But today my iPad is not working even with this. Ugh

What worked for you ? I’ve tried everything 😢. My sons I pad with home button fell with case and went black I could still hear sound for a minute then screen went black , now I can hear charging port when I insert but nothing .

I just wanna say to anybody doubting the whole "press on the ipad in these ways" methods. Don't. I tried everything I could find on the web and finally caved and just started pressing everywhere absolutely thinking I was being bamboozled. But lo and behold its now working. So don't skip on it lol

I’m curious as to why tapping, massaging and slapping the ipad can recover it from the black screen of death.
It was helpful but, a new ipad should not expereinced this black screen of death ? Why is it happening ? Is it because i upgraded to the latest ios ?

I almost had an heart attack when i realaized my ipad m1 wasnt turning on.

Massaging my iPad worked!!! I have the 2021 iPad Pro (5th gen), left it charging and on UA-cam all night and I’m pretty sure it overheated while I was asleep. The low battery icon came on while I was massaging it (it was plugged in). Still charging, will update if it doesn’t end up turning on. It did keep saying it wasn’t charging, so I just massaged it more in the charging area and it seemed to help

I have an ipad 11 pro. Only had it for like 4 days and it shut off from me.
I was making flashcards on my goodnotes 6 app and my screen started glitching from the bottom and then the whole screen started glitching and turned black but light was still coming from it. I got it turned off but it wouldn’t turn back on and so here I am. I got it turned back on. Thank you so much! But now I wanna know why the heck did it start glitching? 😢

I just bought an 11 inch 2020 iPad Pro from Best Buy less than five weeks ago. I have never dropped it or done any damage to it. I turned it on this morning they were black and purple lines across the screen, and then it just went dead.
Have to say I was a bit relieved to come on UA-cam and find out this is actually a common problem. It’s 4 AM right now and I just found your video. Hopefully your suggestions will fix my beloved iPad. Otherwise I dread having to take it back and dick around with sales people at the store trying to get it fixed.
