In my own opinion, which isn't much, I would stick to doing projects that are no so overwhelming. You're a very talented mechanic and fabricator. Daisy and I think you shouldn't be so hard on yourself. Sell off some of your projects and stop working on rusted junk. Buy projects that aren't killing you. Just my own opinion, love your channel and Daisy!
Just part of it , I like doing stuff different and that usually means mega labor intensive stuff it helps keep me sane it's just been a horrible time getting parts for everything
You are so right about project car prices. The prices people are asking are pricing a lot of guys out of the hobby.

I feel ya, I only have one project car, a 1928 Pontiac, but a project house, a project lawn tractor and several other smaller projects. Money and tine do get tight and things are continuing to get more and more expensive. I hope you continue to enjoy your projects.

I hear that. 2 cars, camper, house, wood working projects, helping family fix their houses, bla, bla. Not enough time or money, too many projects.

Always do, I get asked about some projects so I try to do some mass updates sometimes it's just easier then trying to explain individually

@@HotRodGuyGarage - maybe the primer wasn't chemically attached/cured to what was underneath as well as thought. Your new chemical coat got through and into it -[ the primer got "stuck between a rock and hard place" so to speak and bye bye. Just a guess.

It's been a thought
Have thought about a hotted up mazda 2.3 5 speed combo from a ranger pickup in a 65 mustang . 2.3 mods 2.0 pistons = 11.6 compression . 2005 ford focus 5 speed came with the best cams and intake . Degree cams to suite, realign 2.0 intake to make sure top of runner and intake port line up make a spacer to go between head and intake with tongues to match up the bottoms of the intake port and get rid of some of the intake port volume light pocket port . Factory ranger exhaust . Remove tumbler flaps and don't think the ranger 2.3 came with balance shaft , if so delete them . And yeah gotta be 5 speed . Us the rest of the truck as needed to repair the mustang body. Anyhow thats my recipe to a cheap track toy mustang . Use it if you want (lot of how to videos) or I will. By the way I'll be all in at about 1,500.00 when completed Beat that😂. P.s. it's your fault it didn't start this year, got to finish the 94 rear engined saturn/ 2000 gtp supercharged mash up first . Thanks😊.

Project cars are definitely not cheap anymore. I have been searching for a drivers door 72 maverick with not much luck unless I pay sky high prices
It's gotten plain crazy
I've been having trouble getting parts as well. I've been looking for G10 valve springs. Megazip (as well as all the common auto parts places) are "out of stock". Finally found a valve spring on E-bay. The part is made in India. What are the odds of a good part?
In desperation, I've been looking at motorcycle valve spring specs trying to find a G10 valve spring replacement.
It's gotten crazy , last head I used 4v mustang cobra springs but it was pushing the specs takes a good head guy for those
