Thank you! Just used this video to change the handle on my parents tumble dryer. I found that front panel can actually be pulled forward (a little like taking the lid off the front) to hold on to the broken plastic bits on the screws more easily with some pliers.

Just pull on the frame of the door.

@@bootsowen I have the same problem as Betty. If I pull on the door frame, the front half of the door separates from the rear half but the door doesn't open.

No, but I could figure it out.

That should be straight forward. I’ve ordered a replacement lock part and handle. The panel where the screws are located splits open from the outer door. The new lock should easily fit in there.
