This is a really great tutorial! Thank you very much! I just have a small tip: You could also modify the custom control with the MIDI Extractor and add a MIDI-File of your Audio to it, so you dont have to animate manually
Thanks so much for this! I used your tutorial to animate a scene in my game! One thing I want to add if anyone found the key framing tedious- I found myself updating the keyframes to “step in” very often rather than only at the end. To do this more efficiently, I selected all keyframes with ctrl+A then pressed the ‘I’ key to change them all to step in. I did this every few frames so I could check my work as I went.
Let me add a lazy lifehack for you. 1. Add shake modifier to "mouth control" 2. Change shake smoothness to your talking speed . 3. No need to animate manually 😂
Neat! I didn't know custom tool was even a thing but was wondering for a while if there was something like that in fusion, just like a blank canvas to link the important parameters to so that they're all in one easily accessable place without the clutter. It might even be possible to build a full character animation rig that way if ur dedicated enough
If you right click the custom tool node and save settings, you can add another custom tool and load the settings for that one, about the best I can see
Hi, I couldn’t even get through the 1st few steps because it was past midnight and I was exhausted. 1) The smiles: I labeled them exactly as 1-9 like you did, yet they just cease to exist in the fusion tab. It shows “Median 2” but it never pops up. Am I doing something wrong?? 2) I know I need to remove the white background (and when I used the Luma Key I need to fill in the teeth since they’re white). But how do I get them to be a single frame only?? I tried cutting each picture down to not even a second but I filled some teeth in and they only accounted 1 frame.
when I drag my 7 mouth shape png files into fusion they come in as separate nodes, not 1 node as in your video. I tried merging them. Do they have to be one frame? What am I doing wrong.
@@NomadRProductions I numbered them in sequential order. But each image is in its own png file and on the timeline I can make it 1 frame. When you import a still into resolve does it read that as 1 frame? Thanks
You could do that, but the problem is that the WeSuckLess Audio only looks at the volume of the audio, not the different sounds. So your audio could have an "Ahh" sound or an "Ooo" sound, but if they're the same volume the plug-in wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The mouth shapes wouldn't actually match the audio.
how did you manage to install all the pictures of the month, when I downloaded the mouth files they go into separate file they are not connect like yours are.
U have to select before u import the file ,sequence, Than is all pictures is one clip. Btw where u downloaded the mouth picture? I don't find separate pictures of it. Thanks

How to do it?

Very good tutorial! Thank you for this.
Love your Video's❤. can you pls. make more Superhero VFX🦸♀?
Yesss
Can you save the Mouth control custom tool for another project or do you have to recreate it each time?
If you right click the custom tool node and save settings, you can add another custom tool and load the settings for that one, about the best I can see
So cute. Thank you so much.
You are creating the exact education I need right now. Do you have a donation link or anything to send a small thanks?
Excellent!😃
Hey. Could you leave the mouths for download? My photos are giving an error
Awesome bro but make a tutorial where we can make this animation movable too☺️😄😀

where to get the assets for the animation
Hey can you give me the link for these shapes? i am way to lazy and inexperienced to draw my own.
when I drag my 7 mouth shape png files into fusion they come in as separate nodes, not 1 node as in your video. I tried merging them. Do they have to be one frame? What am I doing wrong.
Make sure each frame is numbered 1-7, that way fusion will read them as frames instead of individual images
@@NomadRProductions I numbered them in sequential order. But each image is in its own png file and on the timeline I can make it 1 frame. When you import a still into resolve does it read that as 1 frame?

This is very cool. Do you think it would be possible to tie this into the WeSuckLess Audio plug-in?
You could do that, but the problem is that the WeSuckLess Audio only looks at the volume of the audio, not the different sounds. So your audio could have an "Ahh" sound or an "Ooo" sound, but if they're the same volume the plug-in wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The mouth shapes wouldn't actually match the audio.
would be cool to tie this into the auto-transcribe feature of DR.
So good
Can you share your lip images? I can find one
Thank u 🙏
hey, i subscribed the first day i saw ur tutorials, im wondering if u could show me how to make my hands like glowing magic
great. i need it
WOW!
please bro link here the website for te mouth animation. i dont find one free thx
Does anyone else have the issue where you've got a rig and you try to put a background before it as a MediaIn and the rig disappears?

Btw where can i download those 9 mouth animations that you were using? Please amd thank you.
I just searched "animation mouth shapes" in google
Excellent video !
Now we want some brilliant minds to make a .fuse to automate the whole process 😅
Haha that's the next step
But how do we know what mouth to choose? I am blocked at this step lol
You kinda just have to eyeball it. Go with whichever mouth shape looks right for the sound
@@NomadRProductions well i got it kinda right with chatgpt bit withouth it i wouldn't be able to do it lol 😂...
Heb je ook het zelfde filmpje zonder al dat kabaal op de 'achtergrond'. Zou fijn zijn.
For stick animation, after effects is wayyyyy easier and faster, daVinci is more for documentaries and titles
