Lip Sync Guide! │What every animator should know

If you want to animate a character speaking, you’re going to need to learn how lip-sync works. Here are the mouth shapes you should know, and simple tricks to make the process easier!

I used to record myself saying something and then reference it in FlipAClip. Unfortunately, irl doesn't use the same fps as me.

If you can figure out how to change the fps of your reference video, that's a smart way to do it! I might actually try that sometime

Same thing I'm trying to learn now how to animate my demon character is mouth because I'm making a new animation called the Sun that includes mouth motion so thinking about how the mouth moves while the words are saying

Most likely these same principals apply for any face that is speaking. This should work perfectly with animals. :)

Animal lip syncing is pretty similar to human, just alter the mouth and teeth shape slightly (example: add a slight curve to middle of the mouth and add some fangs and ya got a cartoony cat ^^) also I didn't expect to see ya here reality! :D

There is no right way to make lip syncing, whatever seems the best or good to you Is good for you.

Photoshop for drawing, and TV paint (which is what I used here) or Adobe Animate for animation

It's a pretty good video but you need to slow down. You talk pretty fast!
