Amorphous cell performance loss is equal to the size of the damage. So a small hole in a cell will only cause small losses but won't shut the string or panel down.
I run a 100 watt mono portable with 100 ah battery. Heavy as hell and needs to be angled. Not a problem in Colorado, but the Redarc would be a great way to supliment power on those cloudy days where the mono does nothing.

I do like redarc products as top quality and never had a drama however the price of these blankets are ridiculous regardless of quality.
