Included in this package are numerous homes and offices with significant damage, the damaged middle school in Mount Juliet, clean up efforts, and athletic fields at the middle school, which have been destroyed. Some of the worst damage I saw out of Nashville today came from the Mount Juliet area. Homes were turned into a pill of sticks and all exterior walls had caved in. The damage to the school and the school grounds was heartbreaking.
Thinking of you all at this moment in time, its sad to hear that people lost their lives 🙏🏼 for all of you 🇬🇧

My heart goes out to the people in Nashville, Mt. Juliet and Cookeville. It is so sad to see all of the destruction that this tornado caused. And to the loss of life, the last I heard it was 25 people who lost their life, no sadness can bring them back. My thoughts and prayers are with you. 😔😪🙏❤️❤️
I go through that way to get to work I go on Mt Juliet rd. I always seen tornado damage on tv but when I was going to work. I had seen all the damage it just hit me like you don’t understand the severity of it till you see it. When I seen the damage to the businesses and the schools in person I was in complete shock I had no words at all. Seeing that damage it will stay with me forever because I will never forget this.
I'd love to now see ALL Schools located in tornado alley have large safe rooms built inside of them because there will be a next time for these types of storms. My prayers and love goes out to My Fellow Tennessee Neighbors.

It was a EF3 in Nashville, EF4 in East Nashville... borderline EF5 when it got too Mt. Juliet !!!
I agree, I'm wondering if they might eventually upgrade the ef4 to an ef5 over time and after farther investigation? I'm sure that there are places left that still need surveying because the storm damage was extensive!
I am so sorry about these losses, Especially about the loss of life, but my Question for You Is, where is the Church, the Body of Christ??? The reason why I asked that Question is because Jesus, Yeshua Ha Meshiach, gave us ALL AUTHORITY, against ALL the power of the enemy, and since the devil is the prince of the power of the air, these storms can be stopped just by Speaking the Word of the Lord into the atmosphere!!! I Know that you may call me a nut, and unfeeling, but I have done it Several times, Especially when I lived in Mt Juliet, and it WORKS!!! Folks, we do NOT have to set back and let the devil destroy our Families, Our Homes, Our Livelihoods, our Schools, etc, when Jesus gave us, His People, that AUTHORITY!!! READ IT, It is in the Word of the Most High God, and His Word is True!!! Time for God's People to Get BACK into His Word, and into Prayer like they have NEVER done it BEFORE, because, this will NOT go away, or get better, but will Continue to get worse as the Word of the Lord says!!!

West Wilson is less than 3 miles from us. My nephew and I went to get lunch in Providence. BIG MISTAKE. Traffic was/is a nightmare. Took 40E and Lebanon is worse than people think.
Took almost an hour to get 4 miles. I did see a bus from Murfreesboro with what looked like a staging area and volunteers.
I work at BNA and live in Mt. Juliet. The Wednesday after the storm it took me 4 HOURS to get home. 4 hours to drive 8.7 miles. At least now it's a little bit better on the roads.
@@matthewmartin7639 Two in my family work there as well. One does have to come back to MJ(home) but the other lives towards but not in Brentwood part of Nashville.
I had to reschedule a VA appointment b/c the traffic kicks back up around 5 or so and stays almost gridlocked through most of the day. The backroads have problems as well.

I hate giving a thumbs up to videos showing destruction, but yes, people DO need to be aware of what storms are capable of doing. We have a home in Rockport, Texas that was damaged during Hurricane Harvey in August of 2017. We were lucky, it only took about 18 months to get back into that house. I feel sorry for those who lost everything. Don't give up, don't beat each other up, and do your best to smile every day. I know that sounds cliche, but time will change the outcome.
I’m a Mt Juliet resident who works next door to all this. Thank you for the video, but as clarification, the sports fields in the video actually belong to the Christian school next door, which also suffered heavy damage. My kids used to go to school there and we still attend church there. I’m sure West Wilson’s took a beating as well.
My cousin was a preacher at grace united Methodist church ,but recently moved to ky .God bless you and your family . Heartbreaking

Kinda surreal to see the house I grew up in (2:43/4:30) like that, and both the middle and high school I went to, WWMS and MJCA. It doesn't feel real somehow. I'm just glad my family is ok, they were in the house when it hit.

4:32 to 5:32 shows our home in Mt. Juliet, TN, after the 03-03-20 Tornado. There were 4 of us in the house, 2 of us made it to the basement, 2 of us did not, but we all survived. Injuries were: ruptured ear drums (my son & I), punctures and abrasions (my Husband), contusions, and broken pelvis (my Mother-in-Law).
I live in Mt. Juliet. My grandparents go to First Baptist Church Mt. Juliet (literally about 200 yards to the right of the school. It also got a direct hit.) The morning after it happened I had to drive through Mt. Juliet to get to my work and I was just in shock. People were still getting up and we're just in a daze. They just had sort of blank expressions on their face (and I'm sure I did as well). Power lines were still down and sparking, trees and clutter and debris littered everywhere. it literally looked like something from the apocalypse. I never ever ever want to see anything like that ever again. West Wilson will most likely need to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up and FBCMJ is currently trying to find a long term temp. Meeting place for Sunday mornings. Will probably take at least 2 years to rebuild the damaged part of the Church. Mt. Juliet has a long long road ahead :(

Damage in this video would have me suggest the rating would be low-mid EF-3 to a strong EF-4 rating with winds as high as 165-170 m.p.h.
I’ve already seen multiple videos where as the tornado was moving through, there were no goddamn tornado sirens going off.
I'm a half mile away from the school and no sirens. My phone volume was turned down, I didn't hear warnings on it. I thought the emergency alerts come through no matter what.

Didn't this town get hit a few years ago?
adam miller 2013 had a weaker tornado go through the north side of town. Took out a Dollar General, some of the Little League baseball fields, and the third story of a building. Bad, but nothing like this.

Hi Dakota, if I remember correctly didn't you say you were from Tenn? I hope you weren't in the path of the tornado. Here in Missouri we get our share of tornado's each year to, luckily they have all gone by us. I feel so bad for the folks who lost everything, especially those who lost family members.

Around that area must have really good Tornado warning systems, It's a real mess yes but fewer casualties.

Yes, the siren sounded at West Wilson Middle School. We survive because our phones alerted first, then my son started screaming, saying, "there's a tornado on radar, we have to get to the basement!", then the sirens started, then the phones alerted again. It wiped our house off the map that night. 4:32 to 5:42 shows the debris that was our home.

Who ever built that school or approved its construction should go to jail for endangering children, that structure should have been able to protect the kids, thats piss poor construction
Category 5 tornado will wipe out anything short of a bomb shelter, plus, the tornado hit around 2 am, so it was definitely empty.

@@derrickconnolly9164 as nice as that'd be, the ground down south is mostly clay/rock based instead of porous soil. Not suitable for building storm shelters. And unless the home/business owners r willing to shell out the extra money to build a "safe" room in their house (which most can't afford) then this will always be a problem. It's easy to say "build under ground!" but not take what type of soil you're dealing with and what it's composed of into account.

@@iangoldsworthy2056 The tornado in Joplin was also a lot wider and stronger. E-F 5. It nearly blew the whole town away. Some peoples bodies were never found or were beyond recognition and unidentifiable.
