I am a practical American. My picture tube console tv didn't play out til 2020. I didn't get WiFi til i had to work from home. When i discovered streaming --Britbox and Acorn ive barely watched anything but Brit tv. (Since 90s I've loved Brit Coms on PBS already, Good Neighbors, Keeping up Appearances etc) Just a few days ago the algorithm started offering me all this extra BBC/ITV dramas. Shetland was probably my all time fav. I suppose Scotish counts too! Brilliant!!!! I love all things Great Britain, incl. The late Queen Elizabeth II.❤❤❤

Only on paper. Something produced in WALES should be recognised as WELSH. You never see anything, for example, made in Greece, France, Germany as being sold as made in Europe do you? There's a lot of folk who talk trash on the BBC and I'm sure it's not perfect, but compared to programming in the UK vs the absolute GARBAGE in America, shows like this and all the incredible nature documentaries and shows that actually inspire one to think and learn....hands down the BBC has it all over American crap television.

"I couldn't sleep last night for the man next door, he cried all night and the night before.
And the way he cried was a cryin shame,.
The way he kept calling, calling her name.
    He cried, 'Baby....

Domestic abuse is complicated & difficult to handle, especially if you're on the receiving end. The story handled it well. It took the old mans courage to confront it for changes to be made by all. The Moving On series cover some interesting short stories.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea !"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment?"
