dude, your channel is awesome! You deserve way more subscribers, for sure (who knows, maybe in the near future). I freakin' loved the romhack series, keep 'em rollin'.
If I were made Sony's new boss, I would release a whole new PlayStation Classic. It would be the same shape and size as the PSone but would use the color scheme of 1000-9000 series systems. It would include 2 Dualshock 2 controllers, using the original connectors, support the multitap and would even have its own modern-TV-friendly GunCons available (those would connect via the side USB-C ports)! some of its 50 built in games would be: Destruction Derby* WipeOut*^ Jumping Flash! Jumping Flash! 2 Ridge Racer Revolution* Ridge Racer Type 4" Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy VIII" Final Fantasy IX Rayman Rayman Rush Firebugs Tekken 3 Pac Man World Ms. Pac Man: Maze Madness Toy Story 2 Toy Story Racer Crash Bandicoot Crash Team Racing Crash Bash Spyro The Dragon Gran Turismo^ Mega Man Legends^ Keep in mind, when choosing these games, I wanted to make sure such a system would be rated no higher than PEGI 12/ESRB T, explaining the games I picked, and I wanted to include a mix of well loved classics and deep cuts. * = This game originally supported the link cable, so 2-window multiplayer would be available on this unit ^ = I know this game features licensed music and brands, so maybe some brands, if they cannot be re-licensed, could be swapped out? Maybe, if some, but not all, music can be re-licensed, maybe music from later entries could be used? " = This game originally supported the PocketStation, so maybe a PocketStation smartphone app could be made for this?
This is the only classic console I play anymore. It started out as the worst but it hacks the best. The controllers are also the best and with it hacked it can use any wireless controller with a USB dongle. But yeah, out of the box it sucks, but it is really easy to hack.
I think there was something you missed. Half of the games on the classic are PAL roms while the other half are NTSC roms, just to give you an example of how slapped together this thing was. Another year of time to negotiate the rights and focus on quality assurance would have done wonders. The Genesis mini has two Mickey Mouse games and two games that technically never got an official release on the genesis. They really could have made the ps1 mini amazing if they didn't rush it out for Christmas.
I had a segment mentioning the PAL/NTSC situation but I cut it for brevity. But yes it was totally slapped together and the Genesis Mini/SNES Classic had never before seen games which made then much more valuable.
I still recommend picking up the PlayStation Classic. If for no other reason than to hack, and mod it. Where Sony dropped the ball, the fans picked it up, and ran with it. The modding scene for the PlayStation Classic makes the console a must own in my opinion.
You can do that, but they thought people would be content with the games included. The third party tools that allow you to mod a PlayStation classic were created after it's release by someone else. I would honestly just recommend buying a raspberry pi 4 and putting a case on it of your choice
@@CaptainJack1 Nah. The things you can do with modding a Playstation Classic is the way to go. Especially if you are one of those people like myself that want the aesthetic of a Playstation Classic. Sure you could get a Raspberry Pi, and do the same, and a bit more, but I hate the knock off PlayStation One cases that are available for the Pi. They just look gaudy, and cheaply made in my opinion. Plus I get satisfaction out of modding my Playstation Classic. It's like I'm thumbing my nose at Sony for doing such a lousy job, and fixing their mistakes.
It's WAY better than Bubsy 3D. Having played Jumping Flash! 1 and 2 myself, I can tell you that although it's not the PSone's best 3D platformer, it's still a very solid game!
Laughs in Project Eris
I liked Destruction Derby! It was really unique when it came out. Plus Psygnosis, man!
Destruction derby 2 was even more awesome!

Yeah, i bought 2 when they hit $20 and now that they are modded with tons of games, I'm glad i picked them up.
Favorite channel of the month! Great series and actually funny!
Me & my cousins played Unholy War a lot when we were younger. It was awesome

The maps are amazing in Bushido Blade. Such a great game.
I still say the PC Engine mini was the winner of the various 'Classics'.

Man your videos are hilarious hahah
thanks for the video
Isn't the whole point to pick one you like the look of and mod it to have what you want on it?

@@CaptainJack1 Sure but that goes for all of them imo

Mod it then
Jumping flash looking like it controls like Bubsy 3D

Umm.... you’re about three years late on this subject bubba!! Lmao
