- Wategos Beach is located just northwest of Cape Byron and the lighthouse.
Wategos Beach is one of Byron’s best places to picnic, paddle and play.
Wategos Beach provides a sheltered beach on the northern side of Cape Byron. It is protected by the headland from the wilder waters beyond, it’s a fabulous spot to relax and spend your day. The local bottlenose dolphins use it for recreation as well, showing off their surfing skills on the incoming waves.
You can cook up your lunch on one of the free beachside barbecues and enjoy your picnic on the beach or at one of the picnic tables.
After you’ve cooled off and refueled you’ll be ready to tackle the steep steps at the beach’s end up to Cape Byron and the lighthouse.

Merhabalar degerli arkadasim - begenmeniz beni cok mutlu etti. Ogrenmek icin gec degildir hic bir zaman - ders alinip ogrenilebilir, cok ta zor degil - Allah korusun bir gun ihtiyac duyunulabilir. Gec yasta benim enistede ogrendi, pandemiden once Istanbul bogaz yuzme yarislarina bile katildi. Olur yani. Tabiiki bogaz yarislarina katilirsiniz demiyorum ama ihtiyac olabilir, bilmek guzel birsey. Hem yazin serinlersinizde. Mutlu bir hafta diliyorum size, yine gorusmek uzere.
The weather there looks very hot, I don't want to get black because of that. As Southeast Asians, our skin is very sensitive to sunlight.
It wasn't very hot - only about 24-27°C - of course its most important to wear sunscreen and there are many Southeast Asians living in Australia - Thanks for watching.
