Nothing else than perfection brother , your skills are impressive , keep up the good work Todd , looking forward to see the end result , for me it's a winner
I know the deadline doesn’t mean anything in the big scheme, but man you are stressing me out! 😜😜🤣🤣. That neck is so sexy, I can’t wait to see it finished! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🎸🎸😎😎
Man you are payin your dues in spades with this one brother. This will pay off in the end for that level of dedication though I am sure. Someone special will see this at some point and your name as a builder will sky rocket far beyond just this community.
Wow what a great effort once again my friend. I really admire the dedication to getting it right irrespective of time and effort, wonderful work my friend 👍
Thank you my brother. I have ended up adopting your philosophy in many different ways and for that I will be forever thankful. I really appreciate all of you help, your support and your friendship!! Peace and Love my friend.
Looks like a show car! Excellent work Todd! So proud of how far you have come in your building. But honestly everything I have that you have built;d is beautiful! Love all of your videos!
Todd you are doing a really good job on this guitar. I do think you will be able to finish as well Hang in there do your best like you always do and we will enjoy seeing and hearing the guitar when it's done.
Thanks man. I am going to work all night for the next 2 nights if I have to!! I didn't come this far to give up now!! I really appreciate your comments and your support. Thank you!!✌️🤍
Todd, you never cease to amaze, it looks incredible with the clear coat! I am looking forward to seeing it finished and hearing the sound test my friend. Peace and love brother ✌️♥️
Hey hey, hey, it’s super cool, beautiful Guitar day! Your integrity for these two builds is a fantastic example of doing it right and learning during the process, instead of just pumping out guitars; or any other product for that matter. really appreciate what you’re doing online, and you’re helping me to get motivated to work on what I’ve got laying around here. Catch you down the road next time I’m in South Carolina! peace Michael
You never cease to amaze Todd, wow!!!! What a beauty. I know I've said several times now that you are such an amazing teacher, and bursting with inspiration, but I wanted to acknowledge your ability to adapt and adjust on the fly. That is something I've strived to do in my everyday life for work and home because not everything goes according to plan. I love watching your videos and just listening to you, explaining in great detail, I can't wait for tonight!!!!!
Thanks for the killer comment brother. I told myself when I started making videos that I would always be myself and that I would never compromise for the benefit of anything that lessened the quality of the instrument. I try and stay true to that every day!! I appreciate that you notice that!! Peace and love brother!!
Oh man those finish Jobs are killing! Every time you think it is perfect, it turnes out there something wrong. The end result though looks fabulous! Hope you get the deadline 🤞✌🏽.
It’s not Thursday yet?? 😂 I cannot wait to see the final result… I know it will be stunning! I think that you nailed it when you said that the reason this competition exists is to learn and grow as guitar builders. It says a lot to show the entire process, including the course corrections regardless of whether the change is fixing something that went wrong or seeing a vision change in real time, either way gives good lessons for living in general. I’m not a builder myself, I can barely play 😅, but seeing what you (and the rest of the competitors) come up with is enough to keep me coming back. So, keep up the great work!
I love what the GGBO has done for this community and I am so proud to be a part of it. I'm really glad you like the build brother. Thank you! Peace & Love
I don't know about legend but I do love this. I just feel like if I am going to do this, I need to let my work speak for me. Anything less is a compromise and I'm just not willing to accept anything less than my best. I feel I owe you that and myself for that matter. I really do appreciate all your support my friend. ✌️🤍
You already are an awesome guitar builder!! And I still cannot get over how quick your damn hair grows!!!!! Love this build, shame you had to sand the finish off again, but hey, as you say, it is a big big learning curve. That purple is really nice. Looking forward to seeing the final video on Thursday. Just love watching you and we are so lucky to have you here. Peace and Love my friend.
Hi Cliff, man I really want to thank you again for always being so kind. The hair is a blessing and a curse! I'm so glad you like this one brother. You'll get a look at it done soon! Stay tuned! Peace & Love my friend.
It's turns out to be a beautifull guitar! Well done! I'm loving it. You are a perfectionist, the deadline comes always 2nd... every little detail counts . With that said:❤ and peace!
Once again absolutely love the colours of this guitar, as you know I'm 100% colour blind but that Purple justlooks stunning. Isn't it strange how it makes you keep doing it over till its right. Loving the vids Peace and Love
Thanks brother. I had a picture in my head fro the beginning of the first Ceres. This is the closest I've some to that so far and I'm finally happy with it. I'm glad you like it too! P&L
When using 2K over natural / dyed wood grain, you say you are mixing your own sanding sealer... are there ANY off the shelf sealers out there that dry clear and work with 2K? I've searched for hours, but coming up short.
I am just using a polyester base coat binder with a little stabilizing agent added. Not something available outside the auto refinish market but Mohawk ez sanding vinyl sealer will work under 2k. It's available in aerosol or by the quart or gallon. There are many products available to order that you can use. Simtec ez sanding polyester sealer is great stuff. You could also use a 2 part epoxy like zpoxy as a sealer!! You can get zpoxy on Amazon. It can be applied with a bondo squeegee, a brush or a cloth.
Oh wow, THANK YOU so much for that advice!! It is so appreciated... in regards to using 2k clear in a rattle can for guitar finishing, there's very little advice I've found re which sanding sealer is appropriate for a natural or natural burst finish. Your channel is a source of inspiration, esp for a guy like me getting started.
@@djoyce777 Brother, that is the reason I have a UA-cam channel. Guitar building has changed my life and my knowledge of guitars has been expanded exponentially because of this. If I can be of any help at all, hit me up here or on Instagram!! I'm happy to help
It is and I can't seem to accept less than what I know I am capable of. Lessons learned, skills refined and methods starting to become second nature. That's what I have always wanted and it's happening. I'm so glad and I am humbled by this whole thing. Thank you so much for everything my friend!! Peace and Love!!
Brother, that thing shines under that clear!!! I am beyond impressed, as always, with your attention to detail and quest for perfection. I am super grateful to call you a friend, and feel like I'm at the starting line of a journey that will surpass Leo Fender's legacy. All the best, my friend!!!
I typically gravitate towards double cutaway guitars. With that said: The fact that, to me, it looks like a cross between a T-style and an Iceman has me wondering how it feels to play it. Can't wait to see it finished!
Thank you for the comment. As a player I also tend to lean towards a double cut design but as a builder now, I find I like all the variations there can be. I hope you like the finished version!! I can't wait to play it either!! ✌️🤍
Looks great! If you haven't already and I missed it could you do a more indepth video on that osmo wood wax. I'm not very familiar with it. And I love he results your getting from it.
I love OSMO as you know but I wanted a really high gloss that lasts on this one. My next couple of builds will more than likely be finished with OSMO. Thank you for the comment!!✌️🤍
Beautiful
very clever trick of using what looks like a puppy pad on the bench. definitely stealing this
A lovely guitar.
Wow, that is some finish you have on the fretboard with all that sanding. The body is beautiful too.
Nice job brother!
I love the body shape, bevels and color choices
Stunning brother
I wish my clear coat looked half as nice. I can’t believe you’re going to get that polished up by Thursday. Amazing!
2023 ... Almost the number of times you re-did the build 😉 Dedication to perfection 👏
Nothing else than perfection brother , your skills are impressive , keep up the good work Todd , looking forward to see the end result , for me it's a winner
It is rockin my friend... 🤘
I know the deadline doesn’t mean anything in the big scheme, but man you are stressing me out! 😜😜🤣🤣. That neck is so sexy, I can’t wait to see it finished! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🎸🎸😎😎
Looks great Todd, thanks for the video, can't wait for the Thursday video! - Cheers from Canada
Looking awesome Todd.

Talk about eye candy!!!
This build is looking spectacular!
That neck is crazy awesome! Ceres Theta B coming right along!
Man you are payin your dues in spades with this one brother. This will pay off in the end for that level of dedication though I am sure. Someone special will see this at some point and your name as a builder will sky rocket far beyond just this community.
Loved every iteration of this build!
Gorgeous - every facet of the guitar. Can't wait to see the final video!
Wow what a great effort once again my friend. I really admire the dedication to getting it right irrespective of time and effort, wonderful work my friend 👍

I appreciate that! It took me long enough for sure😆I'm glad you like it! Peace & Love

Todd, you never cease to amaze, it looks incredible with the clear coat! I am looking forward to seeing it finished and hearing the sound test my friend. Peace and love brother ✌️♥️
Man, when you took the finish off I was like "oh no"! But it's looking better than ever. Your patience is commendable.

Thank you for the thumbs up!! I really appreciate it brother this time and every other as well. Your support is much appreciated!!✌️🤍
I absolutely agree with @Cliff-Evans! This is so incredible and I’m up 4:30 am just to see it! It’s gorgeous! ✌🏾my brother❤
Thanks brother. I mean that from deep in my heart. I can't tell you what all the support means to me! It is most appreciated! Peace & Love

Man alive, what a beautiful piece of work!
Thank you! I'm glad you like it. ✌️🤍
Your commitment to your own high personal standard is admirable. Amazing gloss finish... from a rattle can! Looking forward 🎉

Thank you brother. I have full intentions of updating the use of OSMO. I'll shoot a video on that as soon as I have time!!✌️🤍
Was that university of South Carolina sand paper I saw!?
Why not use osmo as a clear? Looking good so far.
I love OSMO as you know but I wanted a really high gloss that lasts on this one. My next couple of builds will more than likely be finished with OSMO. Thank you for the comment!!✌️🤍
Stunning colours! I’d also like to echo what @georgeezzell4474 says above. Nothing short of perfection will do for you.
I just feel that if I'm going to do this, I might as well do the best I can at it!! I always appreciate your input and thank you for the comment. ✌️🤍
