I have used a couple different methods of radiusing. But this looks affordable for me at this time. It also looks manageable which is something I need. I will head o er to che k it out.
Hi Todd, nice jigsaw, sign me up for your drawing. I’ve looked into Thermalwood Canada before. It looks like a nice product but I got the impression their products weren’t available to the general public. Do you have a source where the general public can purchase their fingerboards etc? Thanks, keep up the good work. ☮️
@@SweetTGuitars Haven't built anything in a while bud since the tartan guitar. Been saving up for a new planer thicknesser cause my other one decided it didn't want to play any more. So so should be back in the near future with the builds i ws going to do last year ... lol. l'll get there eventually bud 👍
This is great jig for radius. Also, if you get the flat or zero angle, you can cut the headstock to proper thickness for fender style headstock. This works great.
Very cool. Ive been looking at these very ones. In the interim, I’ve literally (as in last night glued up the carriage) just made myself one out of scraps and shower door wheels. In my mind I’d have dropped the bit to the centre height, but it makes WAY sense creeping up on it. Looking forward to seeing this in your LP build my friend
Hi Todd, great video on the radius jig. If I may make an observation for those who are not familiar with using routers, the way you described the direction may work with the jig taking very shallow passes but is actually a climb cut and in general routing is the wrong direction, general rule of thumb is anti clockwise for external routes and clockwise for internal routes or another way is 👆 point your right thumb towards the edge and extend your index finger, your finger shows the direction to route. Hope you don't mind me saying this if it helps someone not have their router snatch out of their hands ✌️&💜
Of course I don't mind brother. I pickup info wherever I can. I do know that a climb cut is the wrong decision in but I had chip out on the test boards doing it the right way! Now it could have been the wood itself but it was straight grained I got no chip out on the climb cut so in that's case, I will continue to do it that way! Now on a thick body blank I won't ever do a climb cut when routing the sides. Major issues will occur😁 don't ask😂 thank you for sharing this with me and everyone brother. Information shared is knowledge gained!✌️&💙
@@SweetTGuitars if you are in control and are aware of the potential issues the "wrong way" can be the right way if the end result is good, I was just concerned someone applied it in general routing ✌️,&💜
@@barrychristian4050 I think it works in this case because of it being a face cut using the tip or the bit. On a side cut, I completely agree with everything you said!
Hey Todd hope all is well with you. Took your advice and ordered the Noceti fretboard radius jig, tutorial is good on the use, will build the platform this weekend and try it out next week. Have you got anymore tips on it’s use since you’ve done this video? Thanks Todd
Oh, you'll love it. My advice is to get a good 1/2" diameter, 3/4" DOC bit and set your router so the bit barely kisses the wood on the outside edge. More passes produce cleaner results. Thank you brother.✌️&💙
Hey Todd! Thats definately one of those things youu think dang it i wish i built that lol!

Slick tool!
Very nice, seeing the jig in action makes it even cooler! Love the tool tips videos as well. ✌️&❤
Great demo, Todd. I've got the link saved for when the right time comes to get one.
Looks like a great product and thanks for showing how it works
That is insane now fast that is. I'm sitting here dumbfounded by it. What a clever clever jig!
Nice looking piece of kit Todd. Would save a lot of elbow grease.
Super job on the demo!
I have been wanting to make one of those but have never taken the time
I will say, I'm digging the frequency of videos you're releasing, Todd!!!
Nice jig!!

Nice tutorial Todd. 👍🎸👍🎸
Cool jigs.
Probably overkill for peeling potatoes, so I passed on the giveaway 😂
Nice demo of how the jig works. I can also see how much time it saves when doing this type of work.

This tool could save a good bit of time getting your fretboard radius down pact!
Nice. Best radius jog yet. Thanks.
looks like a real slick rig, Thanks Todd - Cheers from Canada
