I love the point about pressure because it's very true. My performance when playing games with friends or a game with nothing on the line is not comparable to a game of importance. I'm not saying I can't try or I can't perform in a friendly, but my body just reacts differently. Thanks for the helpful points.
Love your videos, will have all of these lessons written down in my journal and will come back to this video when I'm in a situation to figure out what I need to do next, ur videos has helped me grow and understand the real world of sports
If the free vids are like this, Imagine when he’s your personal coach.❤ One day I’ll work with you! I’m just working with another personal coach right now and so won’t have the money… 😅
Thanks Sam your always helpful. About 7 months ago my screen time used to be a whopping 7 hours now I've cut it down to just 2 to 3 hours a day (I still have work I have to do on my computer lol). But you've helped a bunch, I can't thank you enough. It's definitely helped with my performances and development
Hey Sam I’m a professional football player from India 🇮🇳. I have been flowing you since past 2 years . I always wondered if I ever get a change to work with you . And I’m sure I will be able to perform better
Can you make a video about staying focus on the game, or how to train your focus for the upcoming game... Am focus on the moment but there are times where my thoughts just wander off...
As soon i step on the pitch i feel normal but when the ball begins to roll to me my heart starts pumping fast i start to feel scared im always wondering what other people will think about me.Even tho i know i am the best person on the team i am a skillful player but i only play good when im playing with people that i know and i feel comfortable around i hate feeling like this when i go training i feel like im overreacting i want this to stop.
Hi Sam, could you please advise me or make a video about whether to focus on your weaknesses or strengths when trying to improve? I always focus on my weaknesses and ignore the positives, not because I want to think negatively, but because I like to focus on points of improvement rather than things I’m already doing well. Do you think this can come with downsides which I’m not realising, but is affecting my training?
Focusing on weaknesses is important for growth, but ignoring your strengths can create an unbalanced mindset that undermines confidence and limits your ability to capitalise on what makes you excel. It's better to strike balance: work on improving specific weaknesses while actively reinforcing and leveraging your strengths to build momentum
@ Thank you so much this just clicked for me! I’m currently on trial at a category 2 football academy looking for something to push me over the edge and get a scholarship and this was one of the things I knew I could develop👍
Sam, im scared to pass to my teammates, usually I overthink it and when passing i dont just lay it off, I wait and stall the play, Could you help me out?
Try focusing on reading your teammate's movement early so you can better anticipate the opportunity to pass instead of reacting last-minute - this reduces overthinking
@hotkeyafl all good things come to an end. People forget how insane 6 PLs in 7 years actually is. I think they're allowed to have an off season. Still time to turn it around though!
What lesson stuck out to you most? ⬇
Sam is my personal mental trainer
is he? 😅
I can't even explain how much Sam's helped me in my football career. It's crazy that all these videos are free
