Just for information, the early p38 has an air filter that always comes up wrong for mine. Part number is Mahle lx980. Hope this helps somewhere

    Hello great videos!
I would like to ask one about key i lost mine and have no spare. I found a door lock and ignition with 3 key would i be abole to change my locks to that one and re sync the fobs to this rover or would that not work?

I'm not 100% about this, but I'm pretty sure you should be able to do it. The physical part is of course possible. You might need a programming device, and this is where I'm a bit unsure. I'll need to read more about the system to be certain. I'd check on rangerovers.net and landyzone.co.uk if someone there might know more for sure. At least as a last resort you should be able to disable the use of the FOB code in the BeCM and install a 3rd party remote like I've done on both my P38s. The alarm and engine disable won't work, but who wants to steal a P38 these days? (not that it would stop anybody with slight knowledge of high-jacking cars) :) Thanks for watching!

That is great info i have seen your hawk eye vid i have asked around you can change the lock to a scrap one wich is £60 if lucky with 2 or 4 keys and with eka code it would work and if you can change the fob code in the becm then done.
Is it only hawk eye that can change the settings or did you use something els to disable your becm?

There are other tools as well. BlackBox (Cyprus I think) has some very advanced tools. And I believe BearMach sells something too, but can't recall what it's called. I used the HawkEye to disable the alarm features on mine. It can't change codes though. Good luck!
