The setup on that bike, seating position reminds me of one of my old gas bikes. I had a Hyper Commute cruiser with a BT80 2 stroke on it. My BT80 Bobber as I called it
I've got the first gen purple and the second gen in blue, definitely a world of difference my first gen is completely silent it's amazing, I was really concerned about the second one I'm glad to know I'm not the only one because mine sounds exactly the same, and when you're riding it it sounds like there's something scraping for grinding it sounds really unhealthy to be honest. Super quick though but I would take the first generation over this one every day they shouldn't have changed it, the greatest e-bikes though in my opinion I love them and I love the guys at the company they are great
@@JHOFF111 The geared motor's do make noise, and is normal. The bike really is a fun e- bike experience and I can't go anywhere without numerous people wanting to know how to get one.
You must have one from the first batch they came with direct drive motors he has the 2nd batch they have geared hub motors so it is going to be noisy. It sounds fine to me and the reason it's louder than your 750w Ebike is the motor is 2xs the size and will be louder because it has bigger gears in it. But it's fine from what I hear. Enjoy it I love mine so much I'm upgrading it to a 60v with a 5000w motor and a 100a controller to go close to 60mph. Will be done next week I hope I'm working on it as we speak.

My bg-x version 1 is silent I have the OG
Nice looking bike! It's still quieter than a gasbike though. It sounds louder than my Himiway for sure. What kind of range do you expect per charge?
@@Rideon187 I'm expecting 40miles + if I do some pedaling. I've heard of 38 miles range on full throttle, with 1 bar left on the meter.
Your garage is starting to look like mine lol bikes everywhere. How many do you currently have?
@@Allyoucaneatmeat 5 now, but I've sold 2 in the past year.
Congratulations 🎊 no room for another bike? 🤔 😂
@@Rambling_Rover I'll make room.
Mine is completely silent and goes 47 without weight on rear. You have an issue.
@@mkostecki01 Maybe so, they have switched to a geared motor, all geared motors I've had made a similar noise.
@@beaubrummelmotorizedbicycles Oh, did not know that. Well yes, geared motors do make noise.

It's still listed as brush less
Can you take Chain off and ride without it
I think you can yes, throttle only no pedal assist, I don't know why you would.
Kind of a buzzkill 😬 That's one reason I don't like geared hub motors.
@@ciliciaann3504 True they are noisy, but I like that people can hear you coming.
