I do like the Bethesda games quite a lot, but I do feel 3 had the best atmosphere. Felt so grim and gritty, with dark comedic relief. Certainly enjoyed that a lot more than the Looney Toons atmosphere of the TV show (and Fallout 4 to a lesser extent)
Fallout 3 was my entry point in the franchise, and probably the first PC game I ever pirated. I genuinely had no concept of the words "open world," "sandbox," and "RPG" used together; and in fact, only understood the latter through the lens of JRPGs. I never finished it for one reason or another, but I always loved the post-apocalyptic aesthetic. I was always struck by the design of the power armor on the cover, but it wasn't until FO4 turned them into wearable tanks that I really got into it.

So how ive been sinking hours into fallout 4. I’m gonna tap out as soon as you exit the vault but in 6 Months when I finish fallout 3, I’ll finish the video

I've always liked playing Fallout 3 better than New Vegas because of the atmosphere. You really feel the desolation of nuclear war exploring ruined DC. In New Vegas, they nuked a desert. Yeah, you really feel the post apocalypse exploring a nuked desert. Also, kind of butt hurt they took out the dart gun in New Vegas.

It's amazing how different my story is from everybody else's... After I first talked to Dr. Li and found out my dad was looking for a GECK I went to Vault-Tec HQ and found all the vaults then decided to search them all in numerical order, starting with 87... So I found the GECK on the first try and was taken hostage by the Enclave... Then I made the president self sabotage, met up with Fawkes and went back to Dr. Li and showed it to her which then led me to the Jefferson memorial and to the holotape directing me to 112 (I THINK)... Found Dad, went back to get Dr. Li, went to the memorial and the rest was history...
Still never understood how the virus purify option in FO3 is heavily pushed as an evil option. At most it should be considered a neutral option. Some bad, some good. Neutral.
Oh, releasing a horrific virus that will kill just about everything except the Enclave is "neutral" to you? Wow. Get some help and fix your moral compass, geesh.
