LImp Wristing is the correct term but there is more to it. She seems to dislike recoil so she might be letting the gun go. I don't think it's a matter of grip strength. People who don't like recoil allow recoil by loosening up their grip during follow through. She's over reaching and she could come back a bit, turn her elbows up and form a slight diamond shape. As far as recoil, she can't simply decide to like being pushed around. I learned this from watching Autumn Fry from Autumn's Armory. If she can handle guns now at the age of ten, there's something about a young girl who LOVES recoil.

Retailers are selling for $1399 at quite a few places without the optic. That is ridiculous. The whole point is that it's supposed to be an affordable TTI Canik collaboration. Pricing it that high, a person might as well get a higher quality gun from the jump. Ridiculous gouging.

That's exactly what happened to me. I was gonna get the sfx rival s in chrome... and now I have this one instead.
Get a Rival S and put a comp on it if you can't get this for MSRP. I bet a Rival S is better than this with a comp for the money.
Put the first 250rds through mine yesterday and it ran flawlessly. This was my 4th Canik purchase and each has been an improvement on the previous. I still love my Rival but the grip texture on the Combat is phenomenal. Great pistol.
Does it shoot pretty flat with the comp? I’ve shot a Canik before and it was great just a little snappy
Not bad at all. Maybe slightly more snappy than my Rival, but with good grip technique, it stays on target easily and splits are fast.
Perhaps a stupid question, but do you think someone with a weaker grip could put in the sub spring and run super ammo and possibly mitigate the cycling issue?

Went to the local gun shop today to pick up my GX4 Carry (for us poors) and it just so happens they'd just received a TTI in the shop. I was able to hold it and rack the slide, etc for about 10 minutes. What an amazing pistol. It's slightly under a grand and well worth every dollar. I sure wish I could justify one. Quite a feature rich pistol and very comfortable to hold. I'll make due with my Gen1 SFX, which I still really enjoy shooting. Canik is kicking butt.
@Mrgunsgear what is the color of the stream light to make it match. Is the flat dark earth or the flat dark earth brown?

I disagree. I don’t think Canik has been underrated at all. I think most people may say that because of the price point, but in reality, Canik has been running strong for years now and a lot of people have taken notice. They are still the best bang for the buck for sure

Can you compare the TTI Canik to the S&W Spec series?
I purchased the TTI approximately a week ago. Fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. The dealer had eight of them with one on display. I was there the second day and got the last one not on display. I was thrilled and they I have always giving me excellent service. I have yet to shoot it but my hope is that Mecanik Designers will follow through and supply a green dot sight. Your observations in your review were spot on and I will continue to look forward to your excellent presentations

Canik still has that over insertion problem with there mags

I bought mine at the local gun shop for MSRP. it took a tad over a week to get in when I ordered it.

After seeing a ton of these on gunbroker over the past week-all going for well over retail-I stayed patient & hoped for a break on launch day. Well I lucked out by signing up for in stock alerts with several of my LGS’s and managed to score the only 1 in stock (at MSRP!) from 1 of them yesterday 😎. Great addition to the collection and feels great in hand with a ton of included & useful accessories. I guess I’m officially a canik fan now!
This is the major problem I am having with most dealers. They are selling them for $250 over MSRP and calling it a sale or good deal. I can understand not paying under MSRP for this but $1200 for a $950 gun is stupid. At that point I am getting a Rival S for $900 and putting a comp on it. I guarantee a Rival S with a aftermarket comp will outshoot this TTi and won't cost $1200.
One of the places where I live searches for the most affordable prices/options if you order through them. Always nice to have good standing with the local shops and gunsmiths!
I shot the Canik TTI Combat, but my Canik SFX Rival S still shot better. I was hoping they would have a bigger comp
It's a combat oriented pistol, not a competition oriented pistol like the SFX. The features of it are going to be more useful for combat than competition.
Got one today. $899 at Bass Pro. I've seen them up to $1200 without the optic. I got lucky, though. The guy at Bass Pro said it had just came in 10 minutes before I came and asked about it

Also just an fyi. Its being erroneously reported that you get an optic with this gun. Which sounded cheap and horrible. Or too good to be true. Thankfully. Its the later. Its 150 dollars extra and you have to select between optic or no package.
Which gives it the price of a quality optic. I bought one to test it out.
Absolutely BEST gun and bang for the buck. Continues to raise the bar and challenge others to do the same! So far nothing beats em IMO.

Disagree- the gun itself isn't the best gun for 1000 imo- but collectors box and all the extras in it give it the cool factor and a better overall value and collectibility. . I have it and am happy but the gun itself is no better than the tp9sfx/rival imo
@kl6911 you don't like the comp, the new mounting system, the new texture, the fluted barrel and wider trigger. Seams like excellent upgrades for the money.
@@yoshiike1 I didn't say I didn't like the gun...I said its not the best gun imo at the 1000 price point. I bought it obviously bc I liked it. But after shooting it Im very confident to take say an HK VP9 match with a comp for example. I have both and its not close

I wish you would have let your wife try it with the alternate spring. My SO has a TP9 Elite SC and we had to get a lighter spring from Century Arms (no charge) to make it work for her soft grip.
she was literally just driving by and stopped for a moment so I naturally handed her a gun. She left right after - she doesn't care to stick around
I'm a canik fanatic! Nice to see all my favorite gun stingers getting hands on em! I love my sfx mete but for sure getting that red dot!

Own many of the caniks and as of yet, not 1 issues or hiccup with any of them. Looking forward to add this one once my distributor gets it in for me.

How would you compare the recoil and accuracy of this gun vs a regular rival ?
Great review as always Mr. G. Been trying to grab this one for a few weeks and finally was able to order it at a fare price from PSA last night! You have to be quick to order as soon as they are in stock. This will be my first Canik and never thought it would be a TTI COMBAT version.
I had problems with mine running 115 ammo. Gun was having problems ejecting the cartridge. I was told that some Compensator pistols don't like 115. So I ran 124 and didn't have any more problems.
I got mine for MSRP.
Not a huge fan of the Mecanik optics. I have a couple of the MO1 optics, one on my Rival and one on my MC9, and I'm not a fan of the auto adjust brightness or the 3 MOA dot, especially on the MC9. Very, very dim in low light and hard to pick up quickly. For about the same price, I'll stick with Holosun 407k's on my other handguns. 6 MOA dot and I set the brightness.

Im not a fan of Canik. It doesnt matter to me that the John Wick trainer kissed it and made it Gucci.
Im 100% positive that Canik has marketed its products aggressively and thoroughly. Including throwing Gobs of money at GUN influencers. I dont blame those people for taking the money, but is the product everything its sold as?
Under a grand... that goal failed already. Well into 1300-1500 range and it's probably there to stay as supply won't keep up with demand.
Which is fine, but let's call it how it is not this under a grand fantasy talk.
Good news is that the steel frame chrome finish should come down to realistic prices now (I hope).
Maybe in 2 years I will check prices on tti.
But I just bought a Sabre Dagger. My bank account can't handle this. 🤣

15:56 She looks like she is TERRIFIED of the recoil and noise; leaning forward and BRACING herself with her mouth open and teeth CLENCHED. I don't recall the channel or the video title, but I found a UA-cam video a while back about a method to teach beginners or to re-teach experienced shooters how to avoid bad shooting habits that come from fear of the recoil and noise. It starts out with dry-fire practice and going SLOW.
I have about 400 rnds through mine, and it has run flawlessly. Also got it for msrp.

I just got mine from my shop. The left side slide release is their standard one but in the matched bronze no serrations. I didn't notice it at first so I'm contacting them and may be contacting my shop.
Hopefully people see this and keep an eye out. I'd have questioned it if I realized and then knew it was off when picking it up. I'm going to let my shop know for others coming in as well.

I’m looking for a flat shooting gun. Does it shoot noticeably flatter than the Glock 17? I’m kinda new to guns
These guns are absolute garbage!! Mine was broken in the case just like hundreds of the first run were.. canik new it but sold them anyway then tell you it’s over ten weeks to get it repaired because they are flooded with returns!! If I was TTI I would be embarrassed to have my name on a junk like this!!
Only had a chance to run 150 rounds or so through mine, but the recoil impulse and muzzle flip is much harsher than expected! Not super impressed and hope it gets better breaking in.
I hate when dumb stuff like, well, work, for instance, get in the way of good content. 😂

This is a great firearm there's no arguing that but I really think it looks appalling. Guns have turned into a circus cosmetically the last few years.

Really dont see the allure of the TTI guns. They dont do anything ground breaking to the guns.
I think its awesome that its so awesome. But the most awesome thing about it. For someone starting from scratch. You recommend this. A shoe box gun safe and a box of 9mm. Its about as youre an instant gun guy or gal about as quick and easy as it gets.

Why was there no mention that the optic that came with this model, the glove does not stay on when its on the firearm? Canik really screwed the pooch on this oversight.
