Thanks for sharing your process. I think hidden pins are sometimes the most elegant way to go, and endorse using allthread for additional epoxy adhesion!
That's another insanely beautiful piece. I appreciate the step-by-step guided videos of how to do stuff. I have loved this design since you debuted it on IG. Great job all around, Matt. Stay well up there.
That’s a perfect Appendix carry I love it I carried a slab side case knife it’s 3 1/2 blade witch is nc law it’s been very hard to find another if I had the 250 I’d get the case slab very rare knife
Thanks for sharing this “how to” hidden pin video. As you were explaining your thought process and how you needed enough pin to grab each scale my brain immediately went to using something like all-thread to really give that epoxy something to grab onto. Excellent video, thanks for sharing! Beauty knife. Hope to grab a ticket or 3 for it.
Those hidden pins will come in handy with some scales I have coming in. Man I love your videos. Thank you for sharing.( I have a hook up with a guy that custom makes some bad ass custom printed scales.)
Thanks for the tips. I’ve been thinking about hidden pins for some knives. And I came up with very similar ideas. Good to see you working out the details!!
@@gentrycustomknives8008 I just got a 2 x48 from Ameribrade. I was going to get a 2x72 but I spent all my money before I found their both at blade show LOL. Don't go to that damn thing 🤣
@@themichiganangler4746 absolutely that's the only reason I got it. I'm going to check out your fishing channel some I'm pulling my electronics off my boat now and putting them on a different boat. It's 100 today and a heat index of 118 so I didn't finish

Love this video. How do you darken the spine and such after sanding the scales?
I just use a qtip with acid on those spots!
Nice Build. What laser do you use for your makers mark? Keep posting I have learned so much from them

This one! Thank you for watching!
Maybe a little tip
instead of using shorter pins and possibly wasting pin material a small drop of super glue might work too
Good idea!
Curious as to what laser your using to mark your logo with.
I use one of these. amzn.to/3PvWuds
You did not show how you located the holes in the second scale??
Sorry about that!
$5 on patreon to be able to pick your brain is incredibly cheap!
Well I really appreciate that! I like to offer atleast a little incentive for the support!!
