Loads of thanks for doing this video. Like you I have had my eye on the 4 door mostly because I do a lot hard core camping and carry a fair amount of gear with me. However you may have brought me around to the two door..... Especially with one of the finishing shots with 'tons' of room behind the front seats...That and I live very close to the Rubicon Trail :)
I felt the same in a four door Big Bend Sasquatch I didn't need more .... but I just ordered a 2 door Outerbanks Lux Sasquatch... I don't think I need the stay bar but the front and rear lockers are awesome along with trail turn assist which were all on my Big Bend.... I went to NH and it went up the ski terrain park with ease!!!

Justin why did you decide to replace 10:06 your Jeep with a Bronco? I'm researching Overlanding and all I see are Jeeps and Tacomas. It's been almost a year and you now have your Bronco, anything you miss from your Jeep?
Wow - missed this comment. The biggest reason I replaced the Jeep was the opportunity to work with Ford. I don’t own the Bronco, they do. I get to drive it for a year in exchange for content they can use in their marketing materials. While it is similar to the Jeep, it is still very different and stands on its own. There is a lot more to say about it. I think I should make a one year review video…
My only complaint is these trails were already tested to ensure these Broncos can make it with little issue. I remember wheeling with my 74 Bronco on trails in CO I've never been on and never know if I could actually make it....mostly. Badlands Sasquatch is my jam. Love it.
I just got a JLUR, absolutely love it and not sure why some people complain about the ride quality, including the steering... seems okay to me. But I did not realize Ford offered 2-dr Broncos. That might be a vehicle I may add to the line up in the future.

Awesome. I want the four door Bads because of the fam. But I want a two door for myself. …Dang first world problems. Also, I’ve heard the hardtops on the two door don’t have as many issues compared to the four door. Hardtop is where it’s at either way for me though.
I did notice that without the sound deadening on the hard top there was a bit of an echo in my mic. That’s about the only difference I can spot between the 4-door and 2-door tops.

Yep- I agree, though I'm running a 2door manual Badlands stock. It's partly a daily driver so the 33's roll just fine for town and also for trails. Amazing capability with this ride, and I'm a longtime Jeep runner. My old YJ is a beast and it's a vibe ride for sure, but it's literally like a covered wagon mule ride compared to the Bronco. Lol...
Two door for me please. Yeah the four door might ride a bit better,but no need for a four door for me. Ford nailed the design of the bronco. Would love to hear a 5.0 under the hood. But would take the 2.7 any day.

Did ya get your BD? I ordered the same thing, just got my build date a few days ago; 3/28. Super excited! And I absolutely agree with you, I was torn between the BD and the Badlands, and I just had to be super honest with myself: When would I, or when have I EVER needed a sway bar disconnect? I've been offroading moderately for 25+ years (some of that time with actual 70's and 80's Broncos), and I just don't see myself ever needing it. I'd rather spend that money on a winch, or a vacation LOL. Anyway, hope you got it and are having lots of fun with your Bronco!

Great video. Appreciate the perspective. I did see your comment about the MGV seats being the best Bronco seats. I am torn there. I haven't had the chance to sit in the MGV interior yet, only leather. The real question I have, how bad was the back sweat on the MGV? Better than leather, worse than leather? I just can't seem to commit to the MGV, but I have a feeling that is the answer for me. Had a cloth seat interior Jeep for years, now we have a Sahara with leather in the stable, but that will get replaced by the Bronco (someday).
@@JustinBMcBride I think the biggest deciding factor for me was availability and solid front axle of the jeep. I know IFS is capable, just prefer solid axles.

If you had to start with one model, the entry price base model 2 door and add the Sasquatch package, would it be as equal or better than the BadLands Sasquatch model?
Would be great if The Bronco nation offered some price offer equal to or same as the Ford employee program. Maybe this something you could run up the flagpole to Ford, become an patron supporter and receive a discount on purchase of the new bronco.
Another great video man! I did the OffRodeo TX and had a major crush on the 2dr as well on the trail. I’m still unsure for overland tho. Sleep-in/cargo/on road handling are my biggest concerns. Any thoughts on those aspects for the 2dr? Feels to me like overland is 4dr, rock crawl is 2dr.
Awesome man. It will be fun to see that evolve. If I didn’t have a little human and a pooch, I’d probably do the same, especially because I would love to evolve into using an off-road trailer, which seems like it would be perfect with the 2dr!
I had a 1972 or 74 green 2dr with white top dual tanks senior year and after in the mid 80s. Went crazy Offroading in New England through small ponds with no snorkel just not taking food off the gas and the V8 just blowing out the exhaust just didn't flood the carburetor. Great memories. Is the 2 door a sport or full version? When are you getting yours. Was this a owners' or media event?

Badlands may be the best for rock crawling, but my 2 door Wildtrak is the only model with Baja and sport mode. Does things on dunes and fast trails the BadLands can't.
Sport is for asphalt - the Badlands has Baja mode for the dunes too. Unless you’re street racing, the Badlands is still the trim with the most features for all off-road.
Aren’t you concerned about the small gas tank? You had to get a larger tank for your Jeep because the larger stock wasn’t big enough. Also are you keeping your Jeep since you can’t comfortably carry your parents in this like you did your 4 door Jeep?
Yup! I’ve been talking about it for a while now. I’m a Ford Team Bronco Ambassador and will be supplied a Bronco by Ford for at least a year. As a part of my ambassadorship I will be vehicle exclusive.

The JL is the o Lu Jeep I ever considered, and I am so glad I got one. I’m very excited to see what the Bronco will do to push Jeep.

It was 95° in Vegas when I filmed this. I didn’t even notice back sweat. I loved every minute that I had with this trim.

The Sta-bar disconnect is what makes the badlands really shine. For me, it is the only trim worth considering.

Definitely could. But it isn’t a 100% stock vehicle. And the main difference is that the Bronco can activate the sway bar disconnect while bound up.

Full version. The sport doesn’t come with a Sasquatch package (35” tires).
