For years I believed he said: There is a song... The "River-Song". Now I know he didn't say that but I still believe it wiuld have been such a good name for the song 😌
'I suppose, if this really is the last night we spend together, then one must ask...how long is a night on Darillium?' *The Doctor Smiles* '24 years...' *River exhales sharply, before letting out a mixture of laughing and cries* 'I hate you' *The Doctor puts his arm around her* 'No you dont'
They had that exact exchange of dialogue in The Impossible Astronaut where the Doctor introduces her to the president as Mrs. Robinson and she says "I hate you" and he says "No you don't."
I agree River was one of my favorite characters in the Doctor Who series and was the most reoccurring character, even more so than Captain Jack Harkness, and he wasn't shown again until the 13th doctor came around. The music is not only beautiful but it is also sad because it represents the time that she and the doctor had is running short and it is sad knowing that this takes place before her death in the library when the doctor first meets her. But, near the end when the music starts to swell and the doctor explains that one day on Durilium is 24 years along with that final line between the two of them, it really shows how strong their bond and love for each other has become and in a way they did get their happily ever after. Even if there adventures are done, their love for each other will live on.
24 years for a night on durillium. Sunset to midnight roughly 3-6 hours thinking that the effects on sunset based on revolution is similar to earth. A full day on durillium is 192 yrs or 96 yrs. Or something along those lines or completely not at all. Wish there was more 12, more song, more Clara, more Danny, more me, more nardol, more Missy. Bills end was gut wrenching outa nowhere but she got a happy ending.
I remember watching this episode with my mother on Christmas day when I was 12. Their story is the one of the saddest, coolest, and consistent self fulfilling prophecies in fiction. Something that could never be altered, that we knew was coming since 2008.
I watched this with my family on Christmas day, it very nearly made me cry to the point where I tried to hide it by moving my head away from them in hoping they didn't notice, well I am a 46 year old man.
+Andrew Dexter - 26 year old man here, and I cried for a good 20 minutes after the episode ended both times I watched it. And I was in front of family. Emotions are healthy, let them out!
+Andrew Dexter I'm a 42 year old woman and I was bawling my eyes out -- to the extend of having my puzzled family ask me if I was OK. You are not alone.
the saddest part for me is the first doctor who episode I ever watched was silence in the library and I loved it knowing this is the last doctor and river episode breaks my hearts
My favorite scene from the episode was when they are in the crashing spaceship and river realises the planet is Darilium, it was the same look of realisation I had when i realised this was the end for River's story!
+Rich Johnston she may have just read up on the initial collision not the aftermath? like reading what sunk the titanic but not knowing the destination
As Soon As River Said "Are You Crying?" It HIT ME. I Paused It And Searched For "Rivers Sacrifice" And Watching The Moment She Mentioned The Towers All Over Again. I Was Shocked, Sad, Crying, Fangirling All At The Same Time. Such A Series Of Emotions, But Happy With The Ending. :D
The River Song storylines with the Doctor has been my favorites and I can look at their story over and over! She was so cool and a perfect match! She totally and we totally got closure. Just special.
+Katie Ruby He should be knighted by the Queen, Sir Murray Gold has a certain ring to it. His music is so beautiful that it can invoke such emotion in me.
+ETSubmariner What About. . . Sir Elton John, Sir Paul McCartney?? or should I say Sir Elton, Sir Paul (Cause without their last name it really sounded like we're calling our school teacher, like, "Sir John is absent so there will be no history class)
So very happy this showed up in Peter Capaldi's final episode along with the music from Heaven Sent and Where There's Tears There's Hope. All during the Christmas Armistice and regeneration at that. A perfect send-off filled with hope
Sad Man With A Box in this. I love the inclusion of older music in this series. We've had this, The Enigma of River Song and The Doctor's Theme on multiple occasions. I've noticed the singing here is very similar to the music that was playing during the shot of Ashildr at the end of The Girl Who Died
+Lemonhead118 I just couldnt remember where I had heard that before, in what episode of Doctor Who it was from! So I checked the comments hoping someone would know, thanks :)
+Kevin Sakovich (REN) sad man is the arrangement used in this piece, I'm pretty certain :P And yes, I've noticed that - has been missing for a good few years.
The last minute and a half of this music had me in pieces, so glad we finally got to see river and the doctors final meet, a very beautiful scene and score!
+Tulf42 Definitely. Like they used the Long Song for the 11th Doctor. That is, if they actually do another season. I read that besides a Christmas special in December we get nothing more until NEXT year. AND Peter will return for the full series with a new companion. Oh and it will be Steven's Moffat's last one.
+WarGrowlmon18 Of course they'll do another season. I need to see Capaldi with a new companion so it feels like DW again as opposed to "The Clara Oswald Show" we've had for 4 partly painful years. I knew that Moffat was going ages ago ;)
+Kevin Sakovich (REN) what about when used mostly 11th Doctor tracks in the 50th anniversary? Yes there was new music but I was annoyed by how much "I am the Doctor" was used.
+Kevin Sakovich (REN) Good to know I'm not the only one. I also find it annoying that "Final Days" and "He Will Knock Four Times" was used in 11's finale when it was so unique to 10. I was surprised on how the Doctor found gallifrey, I had a whole other theory which could have worked better and confirm to the fan base how many Doctors there are.
Murray Gold is amazing he can spur us into action with "I am The Doctor" or Tug at our heartstrings with stuff like this everything he does is driven by emotion.
To be fair a lot of the trailers in recent years suggest very different episodes to what actually happened. Most notably the trailer for Dark Water & Death in Heaven suggested that Clara was a villain and had been all along. The trailer for Hell Bent suggested the Doctor was about to regenerate.
Yowzah always melts my heart. It's beautiful. The Doctor and River were made for each other. The Husbands of River Song is definately one of the best Christmas specials.
Since the 60th finished airing I've been feeling quite nostalgic for the Steven Moffat era of the show. I was 8 when Series 5 came out and it was that era that made me a fan. I think because Smith and Capaldi weren't in the 60th, their eras have never felt so far away. As such, its made me come to terms with the fact that whilst I am still a fan and will keep watching, my era is past. Almost like River realising she wont be able to travel with the Doctor forever. Listening to this piece reminds me of that time in my life, when I adored the show unconditionally. And more than anything, instead of making me sad that time is over, it makes me happy that it happened at all. Perhaps that's a bit of a strong reaction to a television soundtrack, but I just wanted to share what this piece means to me.
It's such a beautiful concept that the creators came up with; it is so intense when you think that the song could come from a natural feature! It's so upsetting and amazing at the same time
Once again we have a christmas special with an amazing vocal track at the end. I can't wait for them to officially release this and remove the vocals for no reason. -_-
All anyone will ever tell you is that when the wind stands fair and the night is perfect, when you least expect it but always when you need it the most... there is a song.
Nah.. This is the ending to River's story, not the Doctor's, and Doctor Who is about the Doctor (duh). The Doctor still has 10 regenerations left so there is a long long story left to be told.
(Here I am 4 years later....) (and all I can think of when I hear this now is...) "A life this long...do you know what it is? It's a battlefield...because everyone else has fallen." "Thank you, for everything you were to me...but where I go now....has to be alone..." "...Time to leave the battlefield." Twelves' Regeneration wasn't sad for me...if anything it was hoepful, exciting and the beginning of a new era. He will always be my Doctor, my favorite of them all. I love Jodie Whitaker, I love Thirteen and I still love Doctor Who, regardless of who is writing the show, or who is in the lead role...I wish everyone else felt the same....
I wish I could sincerely say I like Chibnall's writing, but he's a mediocre writer at best. I never liked any of his earlier Doctor Who or Torchwood episodes, and he's not made any improvement. Toby Whithouse would've been a much better choice. He actually knows how to write compelling sci-fi/fantasy and is a veteran showrunner with numerous awards. Also, his work on Doctor Who was far superior to Chibnall's. He knows how to write brilliantly "timey winey" episodes, something Chibnall has barely scraped by with. After two whole seasons, we've had a single episode which contained time travel in the plot in a meaningful way, but he wasted it on a cheap gag at the end of the episode. I wish he were a better, more competent writer, I really do. I greive for the show, I feel like letting Chibnall do what he wants is almost an attempt by some knob at the BBC to quietly destroy the franchise.
As soon as I knew it was darillium they were on that was it, I knew that was the end for river songs story, for me I thought we had our ending back in season 7 when she had became that after Image, sort of like a ghost, but I was suprised they brought her back but at the same time, I had a sneaky feeling they wernt happy with that ending for her tbf why not, I think it's a fitting touch to say goodbye to her at darillium.
Daniel think everyone as soon as she said that's Darillium hit the feels. Took me back to an old Angel episode when they watch back Doyle's ad and he says...is that it, am I done? Except this time due to Darillium being known it was worse because we knew she was going but didn't want her too. Like the Doctor I'd very much liked to have cancelled this time too but it also gave us this beautiful music, wise words from both River and the Doctor and one of the best ending arcs for a character ever. This was art.
This was a beautiful Christmas special. I was hoping to see this one day. I guess this is it for River in Dr Who, though since it's now obvious that River never met the Doctor passed this point in his time stream.
Thing is, she didn't know his face or any face after that, meaning she never had any adventures with Twelve before that from her perspective. And we know she went straight to the library after that, so I think the only way to bring her back would be to bring her back with Smith or Tennant, or to have another story with Capaldi or a future Doctor and have her forget it to preserve continuity.
+StrategyMaster17 they only way they can continue to use river, which obviously cant happen now but it would be if this 24 year night on Darilium also included other places or if he retcons her after more adventures
I honestly think that this is the best Doctor Who special, and is easily in my top 10 Doctor Who Stories ever. Series 8 was really abysmal in my opinion, and I didn't think a lot of Capaldi, although I was a huge fan of the River Song character. Series 9 blew me the Hell away, with Face The Raven, Hell Bent and Heaven Sent being in my top 20/10 stories ever. This is how you nail a special. Very witty, very funny!! The sadness of River Song not knowing who the Doctor is must have been crushing to his character, but especially from the moment when she realises and he says "Hello Sweetie", I knew that this was going to make it into my favourite stories. The Singing Towers of Darrilium scene is my favourite Who scene, along with others like the Rings of Akhaten Speech and the Third Doctor's final fantastic story. The emotion is unbelievable, accompanied by the most beautiful Doctor Who music I have ever witnessed. Congratulations Moffat, you now easily have all respect in the palm of your hand, let's see what you can do with the next and final special of yours!!! BEST SPECIAL EVER!!
+RockyRambo2112 Series 8 was the first series that I didn't buy on blu-ray immediately when it came out. I just didn't have any desire to revisit it, and still don't really. Clara's characterization was too rough and domineering over the Doctor, and Danny Pink really ruined things even more. That being said, Series 9 was a huge return to form for me as well. The Doctor was the Doctor again, and Clara was mellowed out to just being his friend and enjoying traveling with him again. I agree with you that this is the best special they have ever done. Such a perfect cap to River's entire storyline, and it makes me bawl like a baby when I watch it. So much emotion and heart packed into this scene!
Bentley Gallo It is easily the best special, and I still think that Series 9 is the best series they have ever created! I just love the interaction between this Doctor and River Song. Capaldi and Kingston needed a story together, and this is the genuine article!!
Chibnall has the emotional range of a teaspoon. He doesn't know how to construct likeable characters. Broadchurch was massively overrated and I couldn't form an attachment to any of the characters in it. Toby Whithouse would've been a far better choice for showrunner. Being Human was an incredible series because of his masterful work with character-driven stories, and he's an excellent sci-fi/fantasy author. He was my second choice for showrunner behind Steven Moffat when he took over in 2010. I almost had a heart attack when I found out Chibnall would be taking over.
this song is so sad and it's so beautiful, absolutely love this episode, great christmas special, now we have to wait 9 months until season 10....... :'C
Thanks so much for this! Your tracks are always very good, but I'm amazed how clean you got this. Fantastic music that was the perfect end to Series 9.
What a beautiful piece of music. This scene not only matched the expectations I originally had after I first watched the library, it surpassed them. Overall a great episode with a few pantomime moments I was less keen on. Overall 7/8 out of 10. If it weren't for one or two things I'd probably give it a high 8. Perfect epilogue to a fantastic series.
Those 2 share an amazing story... The first time the Doctor saw River was the last time she saw him and he was the 10th Doctor She is the daughter of 11's companions She spend the night in Dallirum with 12th and got her sonic screwdriver from him but he scan her brain the second she got it in order so 10th could save her in his past but her future... That story makes me cry a lot of times
Thank you. I can't stop listening to this...probably the best music I've heard in all DW..so touching and magical and evocative and deeply sad as an eternal end...it breaks my soul..

Oh God...thank you so much...this is just beautiful I think I'm gonna cry (again) 😉
this was a roller coaster of emotions, but it also makes me question weather or not the first night last night good night bad night was cannon, as matt smith seems to have already taken river to darillium, when he sees her in the name of the doctor, but this episode throws all of that in to question. seriously moffett what is cannon and what isn't?
+rockmacher It is canon ! There's even a reference to it ! Something like "You wanted to take me to Darillium several times but you've always canceled at the last minute, remember the last time when they were two of you..."
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) Yeah, that's what I remember too. Oh man, that was so sad. My friend who was watching the show with me hadn't seen Silence in the Library yet. I sobbed and sobbed at the end of this episode. She couldn't figure out why i was crying. Oh man! I told her she had to watch them by herself. I can't watch it again.
+rockmacher Basically, like river said in the episode, he kept chickening out on her, making up excuses. the doctor is a selfish lover, he wants his wife and he doesnt want to have to say good bye, he hates them so he kept running away...so no... 11 did not take her, but what happened was hat he was goingot but right a the last minute he changes his mind, but now 12 has brought her
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) It's true that in The Name of the Doctor, it seems that 11th has already taken her to the Towers. But that's something that was never clear to me. River's timeline was supposed to be reversed and "Let's kill Hitler" should've been the last we saw of her (alive) but I guess it's not a binding rule.
If anyone missed it, this song played in tonight's Christmas episode. When the avatar of Bill arrives to talk to the Doctor, restores him memories of Clara and the ending when Nardole appears.
The doctor is a man who has experienced everything he was in every wars he faced things nobody ever did he was a man that was wise he was a man who didn’t let us down the doctor never gave up
I couldn't stop crying during this scene it was like you could just feel the doctor's past regenerations in his voice when he was talking to river, and I never felt more sad and happy at the same time...please never stop this show, never end it.
Actually she does not die .. she is uploaded to the library computer saved by the Tenth doctor, In River Song Time line their last meeting is the Name of the Doctor .. and although the 11th Doctor said she should passed it is possible she did not do so and possible for the Doctor or future Doctor to rescue her out of the Library ..
Regin314 she does die sorry to say, while yes she was saved into the databanks of the libary, it was only her afterghost, her memories what were saved, not river herself, not her flesh and blood body, not like how Donna noble was taken saved into the libary, believe me, if they could save her physical self, the doctor would have, so technically, she did die, but her memories were saved her soul carried on till trenzalore
I'm really trying not to cry but can't help it ! it's just so beautiful ! The whole moment was just heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time !! #feels #otp
When the wind stands fair and the night is perfect, when you least expect it but always when you need it the most... there is a song.
For years I believed he said: There is a song... The "River-Song". Now I know he didn't say that but I still believe it wiuld have been such a good name for the song 😌
'I suppose, if this really is the last night we spend together, then one must ask...how long is a night on Darillium?'
*The Doctor Smiles*
'24 years...'
*River exhales sharply, before letting out a mixture of laughing and cries*
'I hate you'
*The Doctor puts his arm around her*
'No you dont'
+Ryan Howard i ended up seeing and reading this comment at the moment it woulda happened with the music lol
They had that exact exchange of dialogue in The Impossible Astronaut where the Doctor introduces her to the president as Mrs. Robinson and she says "I hate you" and he says "No you don't."
#Spoilers!
Sigh River I miss her so much, she is death in the worst way ever😥
Doctor You can change everything, but You didn't try to save her... Coward
River song deserved a Christmas special devoted to her.
+Arthera I completely agree. She is my favourite character.
Arthera agreed. Ever since she mentioned it in her first episode it needed to be its own thing. Easily one of the best
Arthera and that’s what she got.
Why? There's absolutely nothing wrong with showing emotions.
+Andrew Dexter - 26 year old man here, and I cried for a good 20 minutes after the episode ended both times I watched it. And I was in front of family. Emotions are healthy, let them out!
+Bentley Gallo love you all guys :)
+Andrew Dexter I'm a 42 year old woman and I was bawling my eyes out -- to the extend of having my puzzled family ask me if I was OK. You are not alone.
Youre just a kid to me im 2000 years old from the planet called gallifrey!
the saddest part for me is
the first doctor who episode I ever watched was silence in the library and I loved it
knowing this is the last doctor and river episode breaks my hearts
Mine Too! Although I Was Less Than A Week Old
It is so surreal. Seeing the Doctor and River's relationship go backwards. It is just so heartbreaking thinking about it.
My favorite scene from the episode was when they are in the crashing spaceship and river realises the planet is Darilium, it was the same look of realisation I had when i realised this was the end for River's story!
+Rich Johnston she may have just read up on the initial collision not the aftermath? like reading what sunk the titanic but not knowing the destination
she didnt read the crash, she read about the meteor shower,
same.... She was my favorite caractere
The song may be ending but the story never ends.
Doctor just air and dust
The River Song storylines with the Doctor has been my favorites and I can look at their story over and over! She was so cool and a perfect match! She totally and we totally got closure. Just special.
When this song plays and River looks at the Doctor and says, "Are you crying?" That gets me every time! Just beautiful!!
I couldnt believe they actually used this theme at the end of Twice Upon a Time :'o It was so beautiful
This song is even more touching since the BBC used it in “Twice Upon a Time“ briefly before the regeneration.
I always wanted to hear the singing towers of Darillium, I'll always love this episode for delivering that, and making them better than I imagined
Even till this day , in my personal opinion this still holds the title of the best episode of doctor who
Murray Gold is genius.
+Nothingman What about Sir Cliff ( Richard)
Oh I forgot
+Sumeragi Kishi I'll agree to disagree with you on that one ;) but yess Murray gold!
And tonight again, in Twice Upon a Time, a beautiful send off to Peter, with my favorite moment from his tenure repeated in the musical tribute.
"Letting go of the Doctor is so, so hard."
This music is beautiful. I cry each time I listen to it.
So very happy this showed up in Peter Capaldi's final episode along with the music from Heaven Sent and Where There's Tears There's Hope. All during the Christmas Armistice and regeneration at that. A perfect send-off filled with hope

However part of this track is a new arrangement of The Mad/Sad Man With a Box.
Then you will like the Christmas Special ^^
The last minute and a half of this music had me in pieces, so glad we finally got to see river and the doctors final meet, a very beautiful scene and score!
Yep, convinced that this is the most beautiful piece of music to ever come from this show.
+tmehtyrannosaurus People ask me : why are you fan of this show ? This episode is the best example why ! :-)
I reckon Songs of Captivity and Freedom is, with this in second place. :-]
I love this so much I lost my cat and my dad in one year it’s a great theme to let tears out too I hope no one goes through the same pain
Place your bets here if you think this should be the music for the 12th Doctor's Regeneration!
YES
+Tulf42 Definitely. Like they used the Long Song for the 11th Doctor. That is, if they actually do another season. imagine this as Capaldi's regeneration theme.
Oh God please let that happen.
+horseluver4always AGREED
+horseluver4always Please let that be his regeneration song... Not let Capaldi regenerate... right?????
I was thinking the same thing.
+Giley3 ah yes, that would be nice. But the story must go on, and I doubt it will end here, with him.
Murray Gold is amazing he can spur us into action with "I am The Doctor" or Tug at our heartstrings with stuff like this everything he does is driven by emotion.
I didn't expect this kind of episode seeing the trailer.
This episode is 10/10 to me.

Shivers, shivers, shivers... It was so sad but so, so beautiful...
*Sobs* I hate Mr. Moffat. I cried for an hour. He's cruel and mean, but the best writer I've ever known.
+kimdkus Fun fact: after you were done crying, Doctor and River were watching this scenery and music for 210239 more hours.
Tin Švagelj Oh yeah, I know, but you know what happens next. It's still very sad.
"I hate Mr Moffat" ~ every Whovian ever
"No you don't" ~ every Whovian ever
+kimdkus At least he did what Russel T could never do for Torchwood. Finish out a character's story properly HAH! :P
The Rabbid I think I heard there's a new Torchwood season coming or something.

+George Roberts I agree.
+George Roberts Oh please, don't even mention it. It was my favourite track from Last Christmas. I wonder who was the guy who decided it.
I thought I heard this in "Twice upon a time" when Bill and the Doctor are talking on the battlefield towards the end. Came back to confirm.
the towers were nothing like i expected them to be at all...
they better.
*Sniffle* I just watched this ep! This scene always makes me wish they would've done a bit more with River and the 12th Doctor.
i love this remake of sad man with a box !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love Jodie Whitaker, I love Thirteen and I still love Doctor Who, regardless of who is writing the show, or who is in the lead role...I wish everyone else felt the same....
It's not like people set out to hate something. Others have different tastes and expectations.
I most sincerely, do that, too.
It's a fitting and wonderful ending to her guest role!
+StrategyMaster17 True unless they turn other adventures they had into televised episodes like jim the fish or the picnic at asgard
True, I just thought how they could not do what I said with river, because Jim the fish for example was with matt
Anyone back here remembering when the show was this good that made you cry.
Cette scène est vraiment très jolie pour conclure l'histoire de River ! :D
+Mikado BE I'm proud that I understand that sentence! :p
+Walrus is in the Matrix Me too! :)
+Mikado BE je suis d'accord avec toi
maintenant la boucle est bouclée
this song is so sad and it's so beautiful, absolutely love this episode, great christmas special, now we have to wait 9 months until season 10....... :'C
+Darsy Umanzor Maybe even longer, they're not starting filming in January like last year :,(
However, there is Class.
Don't worry. You do remember how long a night is on Darillium, no?
+Walrus is in the Matrix trueee :'( :'( :'( but i still have hope....
+Tristan Bigornia i do remember, 24 years :')
+Walrus is in the Matrix if course it will be this year what makes you think not?
Thanks so much for this! Your tracks are always very good, but I'm amazed how clean you got this. Fantastic music that was the perfect end to Series 9.
This music was perfect for the episode's end. I loved the chemistry between Capaldi and Kingston
Thank you so much for uploading this, such a beautiful piece of music
Touches your soul
Don't mind me I am just crying a *River* when I ever listen to this *Song*
same this song brought me to tears
I'm just crying a pond
I'm listening to this beautiful melody.
I'm crying enough to water a Rose...see what I did there?☺️
I see what you did there
Those 2 share an amazing story...
The first time the Doctor saw River was the last time she saw him and he was the 10th Doctor
She is the daughter of 11's companions
She spend the night in Dallirum with 12th and got her sonic screwdriver from him but he scan her brain the second she got it in order so 10th could save her in his past but her future...
That story makes me cry a lot of times
Is that piano from 3:30 (or something) A Mad/Sad Man With A Box?
+Hanka Strejcová (“Hailey”) It is indeed !
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) I knew it! My mum didn't believe me.
Haha! Well you were right;
That feels great.
+Hanka “Hailey” Strejcová I don't think so. Sounds more like a xylophone.
such a beautiful piece of music thank you so much for sharing it.
I instantly fell in love with this music the moment I heard it.
The day Murray Gold stops composing for Doctor Who, I will curl up into a ball and sob until I die.
are you still alive?
well
Lol rip
One of the many tracks that makes the wait for the Series 9 soundtrack even more frustrating!! Beautiful!!
Charlie Evans série 10 no 9th
Awesome piece, thanks for placing it here. Hits you in the feels once again when used during 12's regeneration episode.
+Oswin Pond (John Smith) Thanks for clearing that up. I was scratching my head at this. I missed that line.
When you realize that the voice part of this song was the music that covered River telling The Doctor his name in S04E09 - The Forest of the Dead.
Fez8745
Nope, completely different.
My favourite track from Murray Gold since Doomsday
I could listen to this music over and over again, I love it so much!
thanks for the music. by far far far, the best part of this episode.
This also played during this Christmas Special when he regenerated... I got sad when I heard it
within 2 seconds upon hearing this I was already searching on youtube for this masterpiece! thank god it got posted 1 hour later!
Thank you!
Just thank you for this
What an absolutely beautiful piece!
Such a beautiful song, I love the wind sfx in the background :)
2:48 reminds me a lot of the eleventh doctor, my favourite doctor, really hope they bring him back for the upcoming anniversary specials.
Thank you. I'm speechless. I'm in tears. Just thank you.
Actually ridiculously beautiful ❤️ i love this show so sosoososososooso much!!! Aaah
I love how this played again in this year's Christmas special
If anyone missed it, this song played in tonight's Christmas episode. When the avatar of Bill arrives to talk to the Doctor, restores him memories of Clara and the ending when Nardole appears.
4:11 so beyond beautiful
It's a new theme!
Goosebumps all throughout the song. This is the embodiment of the Doctor and River. A lot of emotions go through when I hear this.
This is beautiful, when you going to sleep play this and close your eyes it's magical
I've never been a River Song fan but this episode made me cry.
+Sehena Falconi
Neither have I; although I didn't cry, my heart did. I listen to this song whenever I need a good think and it helps me relax
Im sorry but after this she dies!
Same here
i have to say i still love and appreciate most you faries for most of that
I'm really trying not to cry but can't help it ! it's just so beautiful ! The whole moment was just heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time !! #feels #otp
Why did I make myself cry again? I already suffered enough watching this episode.
I think the last part to the song is the most emotional
Oh, brilliant...
Nice, I love doctor who, thx for the music =)
It has been 1 hell of a journey since we first met River in 2008. How time has flied since then.
I love Doctor who and this Tops it all.... Beautiful Music and the towers are Breathtakingly amazing.💜💜💜💜💜💜😍
This is so beautiful I'm actually crying
_"Letting go of the Doctor is so, so hard..."_
This brings tears to my eyes.
This song is finally on Spotify y’all 👏🏻
Goosebumps , just beautiful.
This episode was definitely a wonderful tribute to the fans!
Such a beautiful peace of music
It took 2 regenerations to really love her in the end...how much more can anyone love their partner, and friend?
beautiful
