Really helpful drill. I have been working on muscle up negatives, using bands, and baby muscle ups. I will definately incorporate this to my work so I can eventually own the strict MU! Thanks for this
@@AntranikDotOrg My man, this workout is helping me a lot! I just started doing this recently, and I still can't do a MU, but this exercise had given me TONS OF CONFIDENCE. I feel like it is coming soon. This is the only transition workout that seems to work for me. Thanks again man. I will update you when I get that MU. Keep doing what you are doing!!
My man. I am almost embarrassed to write this, but it has been a year and I still don't have the ring muscle up. I did this workout for the transition part, but it's there a next progression to this? I have been doing this with my feet it front of me , which seems harder. I tell myself that it is ok it is taking so long, bc I have probably never exercises the transition muscles in my life, so it will take time. I feel like I have made progress, body has gotten leaner , but I still havnt unlocked it. But the journey goes on. I just wanted to update you sir. I havnt unlocked it, but I havn't stopped trying either. Hopefully soon! Thanks man!
Hi Antranik. Great video! I have a few questions though. So I can do the transition exercise that you have outlined here. Is there any progression after this? In my current level I can do ring pull-ups with false grip and ring dips quite easily. I have trouble with the transition but I can do the exercise you outlined here as well as muscle up negatives. I cannot however do things like the L-sit muscle up transition (start from L-sit on ground and pull-up while pushing from heels to help go through the transition and then do a dip) or other similar muscle up transition progression. What do you recommend as the next step?
Akshat Kumar 1. Keep practicing this transition exercise. Be patient. MU’s don’t come easy but once it clicks, you’ll get it. Make sure you’re going into a deep dip and only practicing the transition section (some people just pull and skip the transition with this exercise without even realizing it) 2. One option is to do it slower and do more reps as I write in the video. But that might not be enough. 3. An even better option is to add load/intensity: wear a back pack with weight in it (anything, books, water, etc)... and practice this transition. If you can do it weighted, it will make it more closer to a full body weight MU. Be patient. Have rest days. Don’t overdo things so you don’t hurt your joints. Nature has its own plan for your plans. Respect that aspect too. You will get this and it will be glorious!
