The one with Elle is magnetic. She has both dresses on but the first one is magnetically fastened in the back. The one the sales lady has is never used and is tucked in with the first dress. The Sorority Sisters cover up the change by grouping together. If you look closely before they completely cover her the sales lady is already crouching down and removing the top dress. They simple pull the first one off and the second dress is tucked in and neatly falls to the proper length.

It's definitely two people sliding down the pole. There is no spin and the second slider is facing the other way. Plus the voices are obviously different. This was so well done, especially the chihuahua.

Once the girl, slides down and is hidden from the crowd the other girl slides down smoothly making it look like it was a quick change when in reality it’s two separate people. Also common sense there is no way anybody could take all that off that quickly. They would need to let go of the pole to take the mask and the outfit or it would have to be somebody doing it. And that would cause the pole slide to take longer than it should. You might be thinking of elles quick change. Now that is Velcro but it’s not the same with the other girl.
Annaleigh Ashford (Margot) is one of my favourite performers in this production. I just love her facial expressions! She really captures the role and her voice is brilliant too. Apparently, she was the understudy for Elle and actually got to play Elle once.
I can't really say I'm a huge fan of this show. It's a little too cheesy for my tastes, but this is actually a really good opening number. It totally sets the tone for the entire show, gives the star a chance to shine a little, and it's really catchy too!
same with it behind a little too cheesy. I was in this show in sophomore year as Vivian, and the only reason I was able to seem so ‘over it’ was because I disliked the show, but needed the thespian points 😂😂
I can see why it didn't last on Broadway/West Side, but my local high school is currently doing this. Although it's definitely a little bit...risque for a high school, that is definitely a FAR more enjoyable audience to see it with.

This vocal ensemble number is just as much fun to teach as it would be to sing...telling people to lose most if not all of any classical training and just BELT! So much fun.
It makes perfect sense for the pro-shot of this musical to be an MTV broadcast, it's probably the MTViest musical I've ever seen (for the 2000's era at least, I wasn't around to witness MTV's 90's era but Rent probably takes the title for that decade).
She's wearing a copy of the pink dress under the white dress, and the white dress is held together by magnets in the back. When the girls cover her up, the magnets get unfastened, the white dress is hidden and the pink dress falls perfectly down into place. The manager also hides the dress she's holding.
