That Cat has the Caterpillar canopy and they don't take sweeps very well. They are too tall and too narrow for sweeps. That's why most D8Ks in Western Canada use Tube-Lok canopies. They are wider and lower and sweeps work much better on them. Having no sweeps does improve the visibility and the lights up front work better than those mounted on sweeps.
Nice footage of the tracks
Trator de esteira d8k com ripper muito bacana
Thanks for the commentary, very informative.

no sprockets go together on sections u just buy the the outer teeth in sections and bolt them on
Segmento.
Don't care what make or size , an old conventional dozer isn't a dozer unless it has full sweeps on it ....even if never sees the forest
What an ignorant comment.

Yes informative
where have you been skadill cool machine
Skadill is in BC. This is not a BC Cat. You can usually expect Tube-Lok canopies, narrow front sweeps, and rock guards in BC.
yes sir
was that a cracked sprocket i see at 0:34???she is lovely tho.
It's not a cracked sprocket. The sprockets consist of 9 segments with 3 teeth each and they are bolted on the sprocket hubs.
