Will you guys be releasing any future firmware updates which will include the audio recording from a phone conversation from the board to computer over USB ? Thanks.
A great device! I have just one simple question: Can I also use the Rodecaster Pro for Teamspeak without my opponent hearing himself (not on my phone or tablet)? How do I connect the TRRS cable to my computer?
Good night, I'm thinking of buying you a Rodocaster 2 but I have some doubts and I would like to know if you can help me. The idea is to have the table transmit different sounds to live on radio. That is, I end up being broadcasting for 2 radios at the same time using different computers, but I need the audio of the computers to go into the air without colliding and use the same microphone when I need to speak to a radio (computer A) or (computer B) There may also be interest from while I am live (computer A), using the same microphone, recording for example advertising for the computer R B It is not possible to use the same microphone for these situations. If you use a dedicated microphone 2 just one of the emissions... is it possible to have these emissions simultaneously without crossing? The idea is to make radio broadcasts for different radios without passing the same content. Another doubt. I already know that it is possible to connect a TLM to calls but hybrid, physical phone... is it possible? Thank you and I apologize for so many doubts.
Hi there, we would recommend reaching out to our Support Team who will be able to provide you with more information about your desired setup! They will be happy to help: help.rode.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
can I controll the rhode podcaster levels via a procaster app from across my room I have a multi pc setup and looking for an all in one solution? also can I output complete mixer channels though the 4 headphone ports on the back of the unit?
If you have two callers with the new multri track function will it record each callers audio separately? Also with both phones connected will they be both be able to hear the host XLR mic and the other caller?
Hey Daniel, to have two callers on separate tracks, you'll need to have one connected to the RØDECaster Pro via the TRRS input, and the other by the Bluetooth input. Yes, they should be able to hear each other and the host.
is there a recommended cable that you can use for the phone input that you can use to make it basically a line level input? Like a TRS to TRRS input? I saw a review that indicated that you could use that phone input as a line input, but I can't confirm this is possible given that its a TRRS cable input and not a TRS input... Many thanks! Bought my Rodecaster Pro today and its an amazing machine.
Rode Microphones ~ am I able to use a flip phone for the wired phone pot? Also, I know what the mute button is ~ but what is the solo button do? I'm new! Thank you ~ GREAT product! ;-) שלום
Does the RodeCaster Pro support high-def audio codec transmission via bluetooth pairing to i.e. an iPhone for regular cellular phone calls? Most headsets don‘t and revert to lower quality codecs. If the RodeCaster Pro does not support high-def codecs, then the TRRS solution should always be the preferred option when only talking to one remote guest, right +rodemicrophones?
Can you use your phone as your Main camera? To some people who doesn't have DXLR camera and laptop and all. Just Phone directly to rodecaster? I have been searching for a video about it but it seems that it is no where to be found,
Sad the connection does not work while livestreaming. Or is it a setup? Just had my rodecaster pro connected to my Mac, and the phone. I could hear everything, but the other person could not. Everyone else in the Mac (using a stream app) was fine.
Dang it, RØDE. This is such a cool product, I just wish it had the ability to record separated tracks! I unfortunately can’t use my audio straight from the recording as I record multiple people in an untreated room. This is sooo close to being the perfect product. Shame.
Would you still be able to receive calls when you are not interviewing through your phone? If so, would you suggest immediately disconnecting the Bluetooth after the interview?
Hi guys, I am just about to purchase this but before i do could any one tell me if you can use the rodecaster to send audio to my samsung s20 ultra. I want to use my phone for video and for the rodecaster to be the audio mic input. Can it be done as the s20 has usb type C input. If so what lead to I need to buy? Regards Robert.
I love my Rodecaster and bought it just because of this option I wasn’t expecting the audio to be studio quality when using the phone via blue tooth but my guests say I sound muffled and no matter what I do their audio is not the best I have used Skype , FB Messenger , WhatsApp, FaceTime and just a regular voice call to no avail? Any ideas it would be great to have an EQ or more settings for the BT and Phone channels.
I have the same problem. Why the audioquality with skype or Zoom is so bad with bluetooth? When i take the 3,5 its fine. I want the bluetooth for that.
Has Rode tested or has anyone tested the Rodecaster Pro for Live Internet Radio? Would like it work with my RadioDJ software. Any help would be appreciated.
I love my unit so much and I honestly think nothing beats it at any price. I just wish you could send the podcast to an iPhone via Bluetooth. That would make it so much easier.
You can record the podcast to your iPhone via Bluetooth using the Voice Memos app. Just be wary though, you don't get the best quality over Bluetooth, so I'd recommend instead recording it over TRRS.
RØDE Microphones I tried the voice memo but the quality is unusable. Being able to transfer the already recorded file from the rodecaster to an iPhone would be nice. Maybe in an app or as a feature in the reporter app. Just an idea to consider
I took a blue tooth call tonight and it was only coming in my left ear. How do I get it in stereo or atleast so it's not just coming through on the left channel of the blue tooth.
My rodecaster has a terrible noise After one year (i bought in september)... two channels are making a bad noise like a “wheezing”... Is there any place to help me to check it out solution here in Brazil?
Hey! Just confirming that you do have a TRRS cable (three black rings on the connector)? If you have a TRS cable (two black rings), you'll have issues receiving audio into the phone. If you are using a TRRS cable and you're still having issues, get in touch with our support team at rode.com/contact and they'll give you a hand.
Yes, ordered this cable (www.amazon.com/dp/B07PJW6RQ7) and this adapter (www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z545M3F). I think I’m finding that the cable CLAIMS to work with iPhone X and the pictures show a TRRS cable in use … but apparently the iPhone won’t recognize it unless the adapter is MFI-compliant/certified. (“Made For iPhone” - an Apple thing) I’ll return the adapter item and get one that specifically claims MFI compliance. If I can’t get that to work, I’ll check in with the guys on the URL you mentioned. Thanks!
What about IPad Pro? I want to Connect it with my iPad Pro for phones calls or audio calls inside of massaging apps like telegram WhatsApp Messager etc
Hey there, you will be able to connect your iPad Pro to your RØDECaster Pro, either through Bluetooth or, if your iPad has a 3.5mm TRRS headphone jack, via TRRS. If you get one of our newer RØDECaster units like the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo will also be able to connect via USB through either lightning or USB-C.
@@rodemichi there, Ive already tried via trrs cable and it’s nosy sending audio to the messaging apps like telegram WhatsApp etc, iPad still using build in mics, I am able to play audio through rodecaster pro but that’s all what I can do, I wish to use my RØDEcaster pro with my procaster mic via voice calls on different platforms such as telegram WhatsApp messages wtc
Sure is! Just connect your smartphone to the RØDECaster Pro via the TRRS input or Bluetooth, open up a recording app on your smartphone (such as RØDE Rec), and away you go!
Hello, I'm having a problem and I cannot seem to find the answer anywhere. I"m trying to record a conversation through my phone. I have hooked up my phone through TRS cable as well as bluetooth. Once the phone conversation is over, I play back the recording and I can only hear my voice. I cannot hear the other persons voice. How do I get both voices in the recording? Thank you!
Hey Travis, do you mean you're checking the recording on the SD card, or via the RODECaster's USB output? Or on the phone.? The conversation won't be recorded onto the phone, but the recording on the SD Card should contain all audio that was passed through the RODECaster.

RØDECaster Pro Firmware Version 1.1.0 featuring multitrack to USB is now available! Download Version 1.1.0 now at www.rode.com/rodecasterapp!
I just love how simple this is!
Hi! Am I able to connect and use my Rode Podcaster USB Microphone with my phone using a USB to USB-C adapter?
Can I film the podcast with my iPhone while connecting the Bluetooth to RODCAST for the audio?
Best feature, no question. Pure innovation.
Will you guys be releasing any future firmware updates which will include the audio recording from a phone conversation from the board to computer over USB ? Thanks.
Thank you soooooo much for letting me know what the exact TRRS cable and the correct cable!!! Thank you again!
thank you for the video but i bought the new RODE CASTER PRO 2 and it doesn't have a TRRS input so i don't understand why did you remove it?
Can’t wait till I can afford this for my podcast... I would be happy to demo one and give feedback... LOL... Thanks for what you do !
Right lol I've been saving 50 cent a day,so hopefully I'll be able to get this machine soon. Looks great tho
Go to zzounds.com and you can get it up front and pay monthly without a credit check. They typically deliver very fast.

You're computer would need a combined mic/headphone jack (headset) some laptops have them
