I think the "smell of fear" is totally confirmed... right at the beginning they found out there is a chemical difference. Their argument that the "Average Joe" might not be able to identify it is irrelevant. Because in movies usually mostly just two types of characters belong to this myth: either villains say something like "I can smell your fear" to sound cool or menacing without necessarily meaning it literally, the other is some kind of beasts or monsters in horror movies where it maybe is meant literally. And since there is a chemical difference, why should there not exist animals or especially made up monsters with noses that can easily smell fear i.e. the component which makes the difference. I can imagine even dogs could be trained to do that.
Overall, I had fun and laughs watching these 2 episodes. I just think the scientific accuracy for the axe vs gun isnt really on point. The "axe" is really light plus Adam is not using actual real life force you would use to kill someone with an axe as he is just tapping the zombies' heads with it. So they didn't really take into account the exhaustion someone would have from using a real axe to kill zombies.
I don’t think the gun vs axe was fair, if jamie had an auto it would’ve been over and Adam didn’t even wind the hit with the axe he just tapped on the head pf the zombies to not hurt the volunteers. So I still think gun wins
Zombie special is my favorite.

They took account of that and did a redo on a later episode. Axe still won.

He still would have had to reload which is what gets him everytime.
