    One I remember from the early 80's was Gary Coleman. He was an angel.
    The last celebrity animated show would probably be Jackie Chan Adventures.

      There were absolutely a handful more, and Gary Coleman was definitely one these, too. Thank you for the reminder. And yes, I totally agree about Jackie Chan being the end.

      Yes, I remember it, wasn’t too keen on it. I used to get excited if I saw it on the listings or if the announcer said it was on next as I thought it was going to be one of the original films, which I loved. I would be disappointed to see it was the cartoon.

    The Real Ghostbusters was the only movie tie in that was worth watching. They took the premise of thr movie and actually managed to make a series of stories that fit within that world rather than shoehorning a celebrity into a cliche situation.
    It also helped that they had some of the best voice casts ever with Arsenio Hall, Frank Welker, Maurice LeMarch and Lorenzo Music, Dave Coulier and Charlie Adler.

    • @KW-gb9cd
      @KW-gb9cd 3 місяці тому

      The reason it was called "The Real Ghostbusters" was that a cartoon version of "The Ghost Busters," a kids' show from the 1970s, was airing in the '80s as "Filmation's Ghostbusters," and DIC wanted to distinguish their show from Filmation's.

    It's worth noting that Lou Costello had died in the late 1950s; Bud Abbott, who lived on 'til 1974, agreed to voice his own character in the 1960s' cartoon because he was broke and needed the money. Costello's character was voiced by Stan Irwin.
