Youll notice that when i was A/B ing the soft clipper there wasnt a huge difference in how the volume was perceived but when you see the meters we gained 3db of headroom thats the power and thing you should really pay attention too
Couldn't you do this with any limiter with a soft knee function?
I think this is what I need to do because after exporting my songs the volume is way lower than how it’s playing in the DAW I been trying to figure out how to get the whole mix louder without clipping and gain more headroom
hey man! i just got the same plug in but how to you keep the SAT setting turned off?
@@GtBeatz508 DUDE. having this same problem. did you figure this out?
@@kiaorionmusic2520 yeah level ur mixs first then after ur done completely mixing u gotta master it....I got a waves mastering plug-in I throw it in the on the master insert in the mixer and it lets me bump up the volume while not peaking over 0db ...but it all depends on ur leveling of the faders in the mixer...if ur 808’s are hitting really hard it’s a lil trickier to raise the master volume because the 808’s will start to peak around 0bd after mastering ....
love how he so passionate you can see the joy he gets just talking about this stuff good job bro
This dude has the best tutorials on UA-cam period Thanks Devvon
Nate Mcshane Sean divine too
Agreed
And his songs be lit too.
“Valuem” = Value + Volume 😊
LMAOOOOOOOO
I got this plug-in as a part of the ProMax Bundle from IKMedia. I discovered that this is the secret sauce in the industry for drums, other instruments and mastering. Thanks so much for your time and efforts put into this presentation!
THIS WAS GREAT YOU THE ONLY PERSON THAT REALLY SHOWED DETAILS
I WAS SEARCHING FOR HOURS FOR THIS LAST MONTH!!! I haven’t even been releasing music because my masters have been peeking so hard. Thank you Devvon. This was so simple and helpful.
Your videos are waaay more useful than all of those 30min tutorials you find around the web, on God.
Also you explain everything in detail, like why are you doing every single step unlike many others. Thank you Devvon.
I look forward to reading every last one of your comments!!
Help Me Devvon Bro you are inspiring! So detailed and I’ve learned so much from this channel! I’m a huge fan and thankful for everything you do form music to audio engineering!
Appreciate the videos if anyone has any suggestions on apps i can use currently working with limited equipment. Songs sound loud but i know they could be (fuller) any advice from anyone would be much appreciated thank you
I look forward to all of your videos!
BROOOOOOO I DIDNT KNOW YOU MADE THESE! I was big into your videos a few years ago when I first started producing and never knew you had tutorials
Thankyou this is a game changer devvon you saved my life this is exactly what I needed
I appreciate everything you're doing, been following for awhile now. I saw "Take Me Serious" on the Chilled R&B playlist on Spotify. I was immediately happy for you. I got a couple songs on there I either produced or mixed. You seem like a humble person, and I wish much success to you bro!
The Difference thank you yo 🙏🏽🙏🏽
I am watching this video while mixing. The moment I applied the soft clipper the defaults settings already gave me what I am lookin for. Looool i am gonna have fun with this thanks
I want to hear this song so badly 😭
What !! This is amazing, thank you for sharing, this literally increased my abilities by about 40%.
Bro I can’t even begin to explain how big of an impact that you’ve had on my musical career. You the 🐐

Me too
Dude your tutorials are amazing. I haven't done research is a while to step up my mixing and mastering game. I definitely see something in your tutorials I didn't see before when researching. Much respect!
It’s not that I didn’t know about the soft clipper but You just simplified the meaning so much more. You gave me more of an imagination of what it can actually do
Nice one Devon. My mix has improved drastically.. Thanks..🙏
IM GLAD IT DID!!!!
Bro do you have this plugin?
Please share it bro please..i really need it
I have to stop here for a minute and share some love and support to this channel. Thank you Devvon. I've been watching a lot of tutorials here in UA-cam for the past months but never and I repeat never I've seen greater tutorials than yours. Well explained and the results of my mixs can tell. Why am I commenting this older video? Simply because first time I watched it I didn't really understand it but through the times I finally understand what you were saying here and what I should pay attention to, which was to reduce the Output volume of the Soft Clipper to preserve the same volume before the Plug-in. I was doing it all the way wrong but now I get it and this secret is amazing because I gained more headroom as well and my mix got louder 🔊 🔥 and I was able to use the limiter to its fullest. My Mixs just hit another level and I can't be beating my chest like king kong 🦍 now without showing my appreciations to you. Straight out of Germany 🇩🇪. Thank you and keep bringing up these great tutorials. Much respect for your work.
I've had this plug in for years. Never used it. Until now. Man your the best!!!

I Love your tutorials. I'm an Old G. Been doing music for 35 years. Just deciding to learn engineering. I would really like to better understand Bus, Send and receive. I'll be waiting for a video.
Hi. Nice tutorial. I'll like a tutorial on adding reverb to each element of a mix. From drums to instruments to vocals
Good work dude!!

hërbal my pleasure
I appreciateciate u devon
Brooo this is a game changer holy shit. How is this even possible!!??
Devvon the Cheat Code (Chico) 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
What do you think about this thing that I do in my final master chain: eq for highlighting more the mid highs frequencies, a limiter with m/s processing for more punchy mid elements and a soft clipper acting like a "transient shaper" for smoothing the transients. Thank you for the video, I use LVC Audio Clipshifter 2 instead of the TRacks but this video is really useful man!
always one step ahead, excellent tutorial! 💣
Wow thanks dude, how did I not already know this ...think your channels gonna save me having to pay someone else to master my albums ‘cause I’m re-inspired to learn and do it myself... good tune in this vid also!
Hamish Gavin thanks yo for real!
great vid..had to buy this plugin instantly :D
Love your videos bro! Keep doing your thing. If you're looking for content ideas, I think a songwriting tutorial would be really beneficial for artists.

A devvon! My name is Jason. Love your work/videos man! Also your work as an Artist! Your vocal ability talent all the around, is genius! I wanted to know where to find the plugin (T-Racks softclipper) thanks, Jason.
I’ve been using this for years now🔥🔥🤓😎 and my mixes are loud
Jossue Castaneda we on the same page then!!
You didn’t say,”the living weirdo”. 😂😎🔥😝🤓
Devvon I noticed you credited all of the “loudness” to the soft clipper, but your chain has like 7 plugins that you bypassed back in in the beginning of the video. Could you please do a tutorial of how you make this chain? Kinda like the step-by-step one you did of vocal high end?
Always waiting for your video..mm you are dope
I don't even know what possessed you to shared this gem but thanks
amazing video thank you so much brother! so generally you like to soft-clip before the limiter?
Lovei it💯
legit helpful
Love this song
I need to hear more of that music
Thank you thank you so much mahnn!!
goated. thank you.
great tip Devon
No DOubt
Thanks
Ayyyy Notification Squad!!!
DEVVON... Please make a tutorial on how to get the level of your lead vocals just right in the mix
Danybazz Official there’s no such exact thing, it all depends on volume of the beat and what level you recording your vocals at.
