Most men know TRT and steroids have side effects, but in this video I want to discuss some of the dangers many men don’t know about or don’t consider. These are the detailed heart risks, the risks from elevated red blood cells and iron deposition, and BPH. For each, I discuss the risks and how they differ from TRT doses to steroids, and excessive doses of testosterone in between. I also give specific action plans for avoiding and monitoring these risks, and if necessary, addressing the conditions they cause. If you’re on or considering TRT or steroids, watch this video!

Man this is exactly what I need right now. Dealing with low EF right now, trying to find the cause.
Dr.Connor just wanted to say as a viewer and subscriber, you are an asset to the bodybuilding/fitness community.
And even though you might not have over “million subscribers” or “thousands of comments” YET, just know you are truly appreciated! 👍👏
Cutting edge advice!!! Thanks Doctor
Great video as always doc
You are the only person I come to for info on these subjects, thanks DR!
1cc 200mgs split into 2shots aweek, for the past 8 years no problems . I get blood work every 3months . Just had my heart checked and everything is great , blood pressure is perfect thank God and that's at 57 years young, go too the gym 3 times a week compound exercise. 5/10" 200lbs , thank you Doc and God bless
The problem is if someone starts TRT they have to be on it rest of their lives because if stopped the body will produce a lot low level of normal testosterone
@@Chris-vt6nl if you are on TrT it's because you are already low T. What's the point any way. You needed regardless.
Yes but when someone stops TRT the body will produce dangerously low level of natural testosterone n there is a major difference between low T and dangerously low level of T!! Plz watch the channel of the late bodybuilder mountain dog he speaks about how post TRT affected his natural testosterone production adversely
@@Chris-vt6nl I will be on trt for the rest of my life, thank you though and God bless.

Inspiring……informative……passionate….a leader who is not afraid of discussing the difficult issues. Thank you for what you do.
Phenomenal Dr. Thank you.
Applying to residency at the moment and this is a good refreshing video. It's amazing how many people don't understand HRT.
Even if you understand it, there is still a web of downstream and upstream effects that should be monitored and everyone responds to TRT differently. Then, everyone responds to the drugs differently that are used to normalize the side effects or health parameters. As I found out for myself, it can turn into a very daunting and convoluted endeavor. Personally, I am taking a break for the time being to give my body a break and reassess from there.
Great video Doc…thanks for legitimately caring about us. 🙏👊
This is one of the best videos on this channel!
Thank you for sharing this information. Super informative as i review my own protocol.
Great presentation. Harm reduction 1000%. Saving lives doc. Thank you for your videos and all the time invested. Much appreciated
Bullshit. If you want to live longer do not watch or read about steroids
@@Don_Nandrolone Harm reduction does not translate into condoning use. Probably too much for you. Doc is talking about potential side effects. Don’t get off cycle properly and continue to blast n cruise. Bro science and go by feel on your “trt” without the use of a professional who can tell you what your labs look like time in time out. Hey doc, any information on using inositol hexaphosphene to regulate RBC? Thanks.
I"m a huge fan of Anabolic Doc. I watch all your videos from São Paulo - Brasil. Thank you so much for sharing such intense and life saving content!
IP6 Inositol works well for lowering ferritin.
Doc what is your EF? Would giving blood every 63 days help to mitigate some or all of the red blood cell and iron deficiencies?
Yes doc 😍
This man is life saver we would be lost without him, God bless you dr.
hi, im 36 had my test tested my test was a 204 and my free test a 5 . i’m healthy i don’t drink or smoke workout 5 days a week good food/diet cardio. i was recommended Trt , i watch your channel what’s your suggestion ? thanks in advance
This video is detrimental to me right now, I have all this going on except high iron. Low EF 40-44% kidney egfr 64% high BP.
I started Ramipril and Bisoprolol Fum. The Bisoprolol is causing ED, low energy and angina. Can someone recover from this Doctor?
Thanks doc. I started to do cardio everyday and I dropped my blood pressure from 140/90 to 123/80 in a month. My hemoglobin was at 17.5 the last time I was checked so they drained me to lower it, however I didn’t feel well for around 2 weeks so I def feel it wasn’t needed.
my RBC runs high and my iron is way low- i see my blood doctor every 6 weeks to get checked- if im higher than 49 he send me to phlebotomy, i need more iron but it raises my RBC
Rezum is better than Urolift imo.
Does the negative outweigh the positive when taking TRT?
Does anavar affect the prostate?
I would like to see a video on all the steroids, and associated chemicals bodybuilders use like Aromatase that affect neuro transmitters.
this video may have saved my life. I was on 200 mg of test every week, along with hcg...Does not seem like a lot but it was alot for me
Anabolic doc,
What is your general advice on TRT weekly dose?
What is your TRT weekly dosage?
What is the app called?
Most doctors aren't aware that smaller doses is better for their patients,at least when it came to me I had to find a small enough dose to keep side effects down.
How small is that dose?
@@25Alpha I'm on 12,5mg daily test E it puts me on ~800 ngdl

Thanks for your reply 👍
@@25Alpha This is just my example at 84 kg, if you are bigger then this dose may be too low but everyone has to start somewhere and it's easy to change the dose later

Hi doc, is it safe to do TRT after your prostate was taken out from cancer, and no longer have any cancer ?
not safe at all
What about copper levels? Copper regulates iron absorption. When copper levels drop, so does ceruloplasmin, body starts absorbing iron and the liver grabs magnesium and zinc because of the lack of copper.
So what I can I take along with my trt to make sure mg red cells don't get too high
It’s if ur doing very high dosages also not doing trt
After a M. I. And a stent is low dose TRT still advisable? Subject is on a statin and bp meds. Hematocrit manAgeable without donating blood so far. Age 63.
My doctor prescribed testosterone combo (sustanon), 250 mg every 2 weeks.
I have legit low testosterone levels from blood results. This doze helps for a week but then I drop again in how I feel.
In South Africa we don't seem to have GP's that have sufficient TRT dosage knowledge.
Any advice on a TRT dose that will be normal for a 40 yr old male, 1,93 cm, 110kg.
Generaly healthy, heart tests and sonars normal. Liver/kidneys normal.
Two weeks? The half life is 10 days. 1 shot every 7 to 10. That stops the drop off.
I take androgen gel that I rub on my arm or stomach daily I seen the risk on box it shows it's a 1% gel what do you think are my risk
Hi anyone know the best steroid alternative for raising testosterone and how effective is it?
I did my 1st cycle in 92’ just 1cc of test and some dbol went from 185 to 230lbs
Only did a short cycle and felt great that’s when we had the joe weider mega mass 4000 shakes lol.
In my late 40’s did some test 400 mg’s per week and var 50mg’s per day and my bp was high and cholesterol’s high but was also under a tremendous amount of stress. I managed to
get my bp under control and no longer on meds for it.
Bottom line is low dose is the best way to go more isn’t always better especially when it’s your life that’s involved.
You don’t need a lot to get results
From zero to hero then know when is enough 👍🏻. Diminishing returns 👎🏻
What is a low dose and how frequently is that dose required. Thanks
@@25Alpha 300mg test, 300 deca, once a week at same time 1 in each hip, and 40mg anavar 2 hours before workout. 10 weeks.

100% correct can't argue that but how is he so jacked
I ruined my life on anabolic steroids... Sexual side effects, screwed up my hormones and now I need a Godsend to help me live optimum However I need this Doctor to help me.
does Dr.O'Conner ever respond to any of these questions ? on any of his videos ? just wondering
He most likely does not want to get Sued. So many people have ruined for others. By trying to make money off people. Just because they can.
Im on TRT under a doctors care , Its monitored every 3 months to keep everything in check. watching my red blood cells also. im only taking 100 mg/ml 3 times a month.
He asked without knowing anything about this person. SMH
@Peter Lane its not for making body building gains its to keep my testosterone at normal levels thats why, otherwise it was so low that I could die does that explain it all to you?
@@mgrella63 still not optimal on day 4 your level is halved and at the end you are below par 🤣
Substance is not making gains, just your work ethic and also only when you are healthy.
We are here to learn keep the testosterone factor perfect all the time, not to worry about this fact and take care of other things
You just want to live, it's your business we want it all living a healthy life for a long time
Your docs an idiot. Shouldn’t be dosing any less frequently than EOD - E3D. Doesn’t matter who you are or what the details are.
@@UA-camChillZone dude ive been working out for 40 years I live a healthy lifestyle,TRT therapy is tricky. Finding that perfect balance has been an issue thats why the doctor stays on top of it. I dont know if they will ever get it to be perfect .
Will the prostate heal itself after you come off TRT or steroids?
is this up to date though? There have been recent studies demistifying heart issues on TRT, no extra risks using it...
TRT is Steriods. Why not just call it for what it is?
In my case, when I started TRT I had a problem with RBC count. The frequency of injections really solved the problem. I went from 100 mg Cipionate every 5 days to 50 mg EOD and it really pushed my RBC back to normal levels.
