- In this video I explain the steps for how to raise or lower the engine idle speed on EVC-D and E Diesel controls. This applies to D3,4,6,8,11,13 and D16
hello sir, I have a Volvo penta d4 engine, and now there is a problem with the star lock, it only works on the panel, but can't start the engine... the star lock is the same as the one you have...
Hello, why do you need to increase the idle speed when the machine is normal? Will it not put a burden on the gears? Thanks!
That is just an option, if it's windy you may want a little more rpm when shifting to gain more thrust
Hi ted great videos very informative.I am looking at purchasing a 2008 vessel with D6 IPS c drives and I want to update the drives to the series 2 drives and update the helm as well.is this possible and can I add a second helm at the rear of this fly bridge cruiser so I am able to dock the vessel single handed.
Cheers

Great thanks a lot! I will try the procedure as soon as possible. The only difference is that I have a simple throttle with no "throttle only" button. I have to press the "N" button to be in simple throttle. I only have the 2.5 "screen. Do you know the idle speed for a V8 270 E-A? Sorry for my english I use a translator. Thank you very much.
Translation is fine. I am sorry to inform you that for gasoline engines there is NO idle rpm adjustment. It is factory set in the ECM. Gas engines are set at a designated rpm by the engineer who writes the engine program. If it was a Diesel you would use the "N" (neutral) button to put the engine in calibration mode.
@@tedsmarinerepair8956 Thanks for your quick feedback, ok I didn't think so. Thank you for all your videos which help us. Good continuation.
